If you don't like new Crash, ignore it. But legitimate Crash fans accept the new games. Minor things like Crash talking (just once and with one word) and gaining barely noticeable tattoos shouldn't warrant turning on a series. There's plenty of positives to the new games, including the combat, Titans and co-op. But if some fans don't like it, that doesn't mean they have the right to lord over the comment and attack anyone who supports the new games. These boards are for positive comments.

Crash has always been a dunce-like character, like Taz and his sounds were to accentuate that demeanor. Crash's tattoos and hair are the only changes. This is far from awful just because you dislike change. There's a difference between disliking a change and something legitimately bad (Ex: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure).
Besides, I don't hate change, I've moved house, got different dogs, changed consoles, the lot. What I don't like is years of childhood tradition destroyed for the sake of crappy humour.
Admit it, Crash from the ND series was funny without trying, and yet serious. Original and excellent characters lead to brilliant bosses and allowed players to love the characters. They got some more humour based games, CNK, Twinsanity, CTTR but then they went over-board and created CoTT.

The old games weren't original at all. They were a typical good vs. evil story for kids. And the characters were just like any other kiddie mascot released at the time. They also weren't funny. At age eight, when I first started playing them, I chuckled once.TwinSanity did well because it was fun to play, not because it was like the old games.

Technically this isn't Crash's first word. For two reasons:
1) This ISN'T Crash. It doesn't look, sound or act like him. It's awful.
2) In the opening cut-scene of Crash Bandicoot (1) Crash says "Uh-Oh!",
now you may say "Uh-Oh!" isn't a word, but it is an exclamation, I'd class it as a word.

@y0da You tell us we have to let things go, yet you keep bashing on the series for the most weak reasons. Even bashing on that remix of Warped's theme for being related to MOM. Crash has always been a dunce-like character, like Taz and his sounds were to accentuate that demeanor. Crash's tattoos and hair are the only changes. This is far from awful just because you dislike change. There's a difference between disliking a change and something legitimately bad (Ex: Skylanders: Spyro's Adventure).

Besides, I don't hate change, I've moved house, got different dogs, changed consoles, the lot. What I don't like is years of childhood tradition destroyed for the sake of crappy humour.
Admit it, Crash from the ND series was funny without trying, and yet serious. Original and excellent characters lead to brilliant bosses and allowed players to love the characters. They got some more humour based games, CNK, Twinsanity, CTTR but then they went over-board and created CoTT.

But humor is not the point of it. The gameplay is the point and what people loved. What's nonsensical is that adding combat and a unique and innovative gameplay idea is trashed along with the redesigns. Admit it, the only reason you hate the gameplay and music is because the designs rubbed you the wrong way.

People loved the old games because of what they were, not because they're "originals". Twinsanity did so well, it's frequently called "The best Crash game ever!" because they used the old ideas.
But then they go ahead and change it, so people who were fans of the way ND and Twinsanity was played won't necessarily like the way a completely different game is. New Genre, New fans

The fact that there is such a violent reaction to Crash saying pancakes and having relatively minor redesigns (see DMC5) shows it's more of childhood nostalgia for why most fans have polar opposite reactions to games they grew up with and the "bad" (different) modern games.

The old games weren't original at all. They were a typical good vs. evil story for kids. And the characters were just like any other kiddie mascot released at the time. They also weren't funny. At age eight, when I first started playing them, I chuckled once.TwinSanity did well because it was fun to play, not because it was like the old games.

@captain0ldy0da They changed it to keep with the times. The story in MoM is too lighthearted, even for a Crash Bandicoot game. But since that isn't the primary focus of Crash, it doesn't make that big a difference. The old fans don't like the new games because they are whiny retros with a hair up their asses about anything post-90s. Moving to a new house doesn't prove that you're comfortable with change. It just means you had to move to a new house. You're still a baby about the new Crash games.

Crash Bandicoots physical appearance had to be altered for the Japanese version to appeal to them, and the intro screens where changed from cool to fucking insane. Of coarse after Crash Bandicoot 3, Sony and Naughty Dog sold him out, and now Crash along with his old buddy Spyro is on life support with games such as , Crash of the Titans and Crash: Mind over Mutant. these games were a huge failure produced by a team high on chromosomes. fuck you radical "entertainment"

Sony however, was lacking in one, so they made their mascot a clinically insane furry named Crash Bandicoot.
