im sylheti and I can tell you that SYLHET is definately NOT the financial capital of Bangladesh, it's Dhaka. All you have to do is go to Dhaka to see the wealth...there are multi billion pound companies there funding the whole country through taxes and levies, bangladeshi ex-pat funding into Bangladesh is minute compared to the funding from Dhaka
