she doesn't distant herself her mother finally lets er go. and i would not suggest the movie although its alright if you never read the book but if you did its disappointing to see so many good parts being cut out. the book was great i satyed up many a nights reading it.
i agree the movie should have been played out exactly like the book even if it had to be longer than regular movies, then again this was no regular. two thumbs way up for white oleander (the book)
im only 12 and i don't like any of those books
