  • Thank you very much.

  • Very nice video, thank you! I have just picked alot of raw cotton and is just learning how to make yarn of it. But first. I have to pick the seeds of course :) Thanks again. Carola

  • No, carding will not remove any seeds from raw cotton. These can only be removed by pulling them out by hand. Some people have had luck with using a pasta rolling device, rolling the cotton through it makes the seeds pop out. But it really is easiest to just pull them out by hand.

  • Is this the same process for removing the seeds from the cotton or is there a different tool for that?

I have a bunch of raw cotton and trying to figure out an easy way to remove the seeds.

  • Thanks so much...that is the clearest explanation I've heard and something just clicked and my punis are coming out right and spinning nice and thin! Thanks again, Pammie in Oregon

  • These handcards were made by Fricke. The brush area measures 4in by 5 in. I do not know the exact teeth count for the carding cloth, it is what I consider a fine teeth brush cloth. If I measure an inch on the brush cloth I count 7 teeth, with 6 teeth right below that. Hope that helps.

  • What size hand carders are you using?

  • shit ton
