Dont Hop!!! thats retarded! your feet come off the wall from retraction, or dropping so fast your feet come off the wall (but a hop is when you push off the wall and that will end up pushing you to the flats) also they say to engage your uphill edge at the point of changing direction but this person does it in the middle of the pipe!!!
