  • Beautiful speech. If only there had been more of this during the campaign, perhaps the vote would have turned out differently.

  • mccain wanted to sell us to mexico through the mccain/kennedy bill that would have been all but blanket amnesty. Bush was pushing it too. These are the kind of turncoats we get out of the republican party. Romney will be the same and he will not get elected like mccain also. we need a constitutionalist instead of a globalist liar. Some dissapointment indeed. McCain crashed 5 jets, plus was responsible for the Forrestal firethat killed an injured over 200 people during his military career.

  • McCain has class; however, the 08 election was once again choosing between the lesser of two evils.

  • I went for the democrats and I'm not even from this country but this man deserves credit for giving a great speech.

  • He had put up with right winger during his campaign u can tell he is fustrated with the booing

  • "We never Hide from History!"

  • He did not help Obama lead this country though.

  • @ih8faggots10000

You're one of the worst things that happened to us, actually. Your name alone says that.

Tell the KKK I send them my best wishes!

  • McCain was actually a good man compared to the tea-partiers of today.

  • the world would have known a better decade if John was elected....in 2000 against stupid Bush

  • i just liked how mccain told his supporters to stop throwing BOO's to barack Obama...

  • Thus started the raping of America

  • Im a democrat, but McCain was a classy guy.

  • HOLY SHIT. This mixes with MGS3 Soundtrack Debriefing exactly

  • @CaptainRidley Oh my god! you are so right that is awesome!

  • "Every candidate makes mistakes, and I'm sure I made my share of them." Yeah, his biggest mistake was standing on the stage with him in the blue, the one wearing the glasses and smiling like a Barbie doll.

  • Even though I don't agree with McCain's principles, he is a decent human being and a honorable man. I fully supported Obama and have always been a liberal democrat. It's interesting to me that when Obama mentioned McCain in his victory speech, there were cheers. But when McCain mentioned Obama, everyone booed. These people seem very ignorant and much less respectable than McCain.

  • 4 years is right, JUST 4 years.

  • mccain is the greatest war monger in american history! You are so blind not seeing his wish to kill the world. If he'd win last elections, you all would be already dead along with the entire world!

  • I am a Democrat and I greatly respect McCain for his patriotic work and reaching across the isle multiple times.

  • Speech gives me shivers as it did three years ago. What a gracious man.

  • He's an American hero and a great individual. No matter the party we belong to, we should all acknowledge that.

  • Great night.

  • Even though I don't live in the US, and I supported Obama throughout his campaign, I must say that John McCain handled his speech fantastically well. The way he silences the crowd when they start booing at Obama...Now this is a man who can really accept a loss with style and warmth :)

  • I'm a dyed-in-the-wool liberal, but this is the best speech I have ever watched live... graceful, good natured, statesmanlike... so rare in these times!

  • i remember laughing my butt off watching the crying white people in the audience

  • Im a proud Democrat! :) And Im all for Obama:D

But even i have to admit.. This is a great Concession Speech.. He was very humble and gave respect to Obama! (Even if he probley didnt mean it) What im trying to say is.. I earned respect for John McCain that night..

I even got a little sad seeing Sarah palin.. :( LOL! OBAMA 2012!!!! :-)

  • @Adizero70000 Okay, I was trying to hold this, but I can't. First off, this is how it is: Obama = Progressive, McCain = Progressive-lite. These two people were the biggest liars ever on the political floor. Tell me something, what has Barack Obama accomplished besides growing government, bigger spending, not bringing home troops, and many failed promises? Nothing, and McCain would have been just as bad. It's HILARIOUS to see the left think they're different.

  • @GOllumboy101 Obama is bringing home the troops now! What are you talking about? And the war is ending.. Obama killded Osama.. Which no President was able to do.. He has got alot of terroist who where trying to kill Americans.. Jobs have came up! Alot of poor people are better off than they were when bush was president! Watch the news.. Study Politics.. Study Obama. Because i already know you dont have no idea what your talking about:) Just keeping it real! God Bless:D

  • @Adizero70000 Obama isn't bringing home any troops sir or ma'am, my brother is in the Navy Nuke Program currently. "Pulling out" is a fancy term for "moving to Afghanistan". They're being transferred, and that means more spending. We're suppose to be there until 2024 (MSNBC even highlighted this) Obama didn't kill Osama, the Navy Seals did, which INCREASED terrorist threat. Jobs haven't been created, unemployment is STILL over 9%. Where do you get your facts? Mainstream? You play into "politics"

  • @GOllumboy101 Nope.. The war is ending this year.. And more jobs have been created.. Im wondering where you get your facts from.. I study politics everyday of my life.. I think i know more than you will ever know about politics.. Obama did kill Osama. He sent those people there.. It was under his commend.. :) Obama is the greatest president:) Hes done more than any other president!

  • @Adizero70000 Apparently my source of my brother being in the Navy isn't enough to persuade you that they aren't coming home. Jobs aren't being created ma'am, the unemployment rate is still high and not declining, stop being in denial, the first thing to solve a problem is admitting you have a problem. You study politics? Tell me how George Washington and Barack Obama can be part of your favorite presidents? Seriously? Do you even know what Washington did? The guy is FAR from Barack.

  • @GOllumboy101 When are you people on the right going to realize a POTUS cant create jobs. Obama did everything he was suppose to do. We bail out the banks and wallstreet an they were suppose to lend to small business so they can hire. They are not doing this. They are sitting on our tax payer money! The people on the right are so full of it. When ask on tv what would they do they never have an answer. In fact when Bush did the frist bail out and Obama passed his package they were all for it! lol

  • @b7r7u7c7e Bailouts are BAD sir, not good. Bailouts add up to debt, and our country is facing a debt crisis in fact if you go on debtclockyou will see we are about to hit 15 trillion. You do not understand, just like the Wall Street protesters sir. Wall Street IS NOT the source of problems, the Government and Federal Reserve basically control and cause Wall Street rich fat cats to be greedy. No Conservative supported Bailouts, that's why Conservatives attack Bush.

  • @Adizero70000 Continued comment: Obama has tried his policies, and they have failed. George W. Bush did leave a lot of problems, but Barack has PROVEN he CANNOT fix those problems, instead make them worse. Obama's spending is already greater then Bush's spending, also note that Bush had 8 years while Obama is entering his 3rd. Washington was NO POLITICAL PARTY, a true American and leader. The guy did amazing things for starting us out. You study politics? How about studying history first ma'am.

  • @GOllumboy101 Obama had alot to deal with thanks to the Republicans when elected. Most of the things Bush started is still adding to the dept. War in Iraq(That is finally over thanks to Obama) still adding billions. The Bush tax cuts that were not paid for. The Medicare Prescription Drug Program the largest entitlement program in decades! That was passed by a Republican congress. The Bush bailout was supported by the right, and Obamas package was supported at first by the guys running. lol

  • @b7r7u7c7e 2nd comment: Obviously you have not read my full argument, please go back and read, I'll state this once more, Bush DID leave a lot of problems, but OBAMA has PROVEN he cannot solve, only add on greater to the problems. Bush IS NOT a "Conservative", he is a Republican/RINO. The Iraq war IS NOT and WILL NOT be over for quite some time (my brother knows this, he is a navy nuke technician on the USS Enterprise). All he is doing is moving them to Afghan, costing us even more. (read 1st)

  • @GOllumboy101 Unlike 99% of voters I see politics for what it is. Its a game. Its not real. They tell us what we want to hear and get us fighting against each other to keep our focus off them. All they care about is power and keeping it. Its always easy to point the finger at whos in power. Rino? Every president has spent more then his predecessor, and continued most of the policies of his predecessor. When have we had a conservative? Nixon, Regan, Bush Sr raised taxes & added to the deficit.

  • @b7r7u7c7e Of course it's a game, why do you think Obama is ordering another stimulus which is the same thing knowing how bad it worked out last time? So he can point his finger at the Republicans/Conservatives for not passing his bill. A RINO is a Republican that does not have right wing ideas, he/she is more progressive. We haven't had a "real" conservative, Nixon wasn't a Conservative, in fact he's hated by the right wing because he got us off the gold standard. Bush Sr. was also not a...

  • @b7r7u7c7e Continued: Conservative. Now Reagan is interesting, he is a Conservative, or at least he was very close to it. Reagan's message was exactly what we need, Tax Cuts, Less Government, Cutting Government Spending, and Letting the Free Market Capitalist Economy work itself. However, Reagan did not deliver on all of these (mostly spending). He did cut taxes and lowered the Government, but he didn't cut much spending, which led to Inflation. You have to cut more then what he did.

  • @GOllumboy101 My point is in todays world he would be looked at as a Rino. He raised taxea, sold weapons to the enemy and increased the dept. Clinton balance the budget and every program was paid for. This notion that Republicans Presidents have been these small government, lower taxes, fiscal conservatives to the core is bull. The only difference between the right and left is the right lies about there spending and raising taxes.

  • @b7r7u7c7e Okay, but how is this proving me wrong? You are basically repeating me with saying the flaws of Reagan. This country hasn't had "true" Conservatism since the Great Depression of 1920. Have you heard of that? Probably not, because it was over so quickly, the Government cut spending by HALF and the free market quickly recovered. Conservative economics don't work? Think again. Republicans can either be Conservative like they should be as true right wing, or RINO. You're lying to yourself

  • @GOllumboy101 well remembers there was cold war, and the congress were large controlled by the democrats, in 1920's republicans were able to pay down the debt and cut taxes, unfortunately the federal reserve had a terrible monetary policies. In Reagan years, the greater amount of revenues were offset by even greater amount of spending

  • @GOllumboy101 I study almost everything.. See ya!!

  • @Adizero70000 Nice response, it argues your point. It's hilarious to see you're like every other Obama voter/supporter... ignore every logical statement and just believe that Obama is fixing the country. I wish the best for your children someday.

  • @GOllumboy101 Thanks for your lovely comment:) And thanks for sending me some blessings! :-) OBAMA 2012:D Obama is the best president ever! :-}

  • @Adizero70000 OBAMA/BIDEN 2012!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @flahaircut AMEN! OBAMA/BIDEN 2012:)

  • I voted for Obama so other people wouldn't think I am a racist and so I can rest assured knowing that I voted for a black man.

  • @shelleyinthecity Your joking right? Nobody could be stupid enough to vote for someone based on race! Thats like me voting for anyone whos Irish because my parents are. And news flash voting is private no one would know stupid. The news media always like to paint the right wing voters as stupid & out of touch with common sense. Reading your comments there is some truth to it. I showed my wife your comment because she didnt believe me. When she read it she laughed her ass off & put it on facebook

  • aw i kinda feel bad for him lmao

  • I died laughing on that night!

  • This reminds me of 1 Samuel 8:1-22. I'm just saying. Do you Obama will be humble if he lost? I surely hope

  • he would have been so much better than the presidant we have

  • McCain A man you can trust......

with Obama, it's just pure lust....

  • I'd just like to say, as a left leaning (!) Englishman, McCain showed utter class here. Good on him

  • the guy is a hero for taking the high road in this speech here. standing up to your own supporters shows character and moral leadership!

  • Senator Obama's victory speech: "A little bit earlier this evening, I received an extraordinarily gracious phone call from Senator McCain..."

    Applause from audience.

Senator McCain's concession speech: "A little while ago, I had the honor of calling Senator Barack Obama..."

Overwhelming boos from audience for their new president.

One can see where the class is in this country.

  • @jman12725 Same place it was when Bush got booed.

  • I CANT WAIT UNTIL OBAMA"S CONCESSION SPEECH :D :D

  • legalize weed

  • @alexblack1234 yeah!

  • i third that!!

  • that ass

  • The most gracious concession speech ever.

  • i think mccain is soo much more intellignent than... bush :D

  • all are supporters are whites lol

  • Comment removed

  • Senator McCain is a decent man.

  • Im a democrat, i voted for obama, but mccain is a great american, and i wouldve been happy to have HIM as president had he won. The people who booed bush on inauguration day and the people who booed obamas win are the worst of BOTH PARTIES. Everyone would do well to remember that the worst of politics is often the loudest, and those who work together have no need to shout.

  • What a great concession speech. John McCain is a remarkable man of true dignity and courage. I highly doubt that the 2012 GOP nominees have the wit of John McCain combined.

  • Never before has a politician been so superior to the people who support him.

  • fuck mccain

  • After 8 years of Bush, the south and midwest STILL voted Republican.

  • @TheMichaelVoorhees And they will do the same after four years of Barack Osama.

  • @TheMichaelVoorhees

Seven out of the eleven Midwestern states voted for Obama. Thus, you cannot say that the Midwest is still red.

  • John McCain was a loser form the beginning he deserved to lose. I don't know what the Republicans were thinking by nominating him when he was clearly unelectable.

  • He seems to be better at giving concession speeches than at campaigning for President. Just sayin'....

  • Do you think this gracious speech made up for his run?

  • no more wars

  • I enjoy a good Republican concession speech and this one had a lot of heart but you guys praising McCain need to remember that he sold his soul to get the Republican nomination. The McCain of 2000 that went against Bush no longer exists. That McCain had integrity. This McCain conceding here has none.

  • @pinksquare Any nominee for the presidency, including Barack Obama, sells their soul to their party to become nominee. That's how it goes. Obama promised a lot to his party before being elected that hasn't happened or even been attempted. Obama picked and chose his honest personal agendas, not what he promised to his party to get elected.

McCain would have done the same.

  • @Gregdafro Obama has the advantage of winning the nomination his first time around and having a short political career. McCain has been in the game decades so there was a lot of his career to wade through to see how he contradicted himself throughout his campaign to appease whatever demographic he was speaking to. I wouldn't say Obama lied during his campaign. I'd say there's certainly thinks he needed to push into his second term. The power of the president only goes so far.

  • gracious

  • losersssssssss......loserssssssssssssss hahaha politics is hilarious

  • look & listen to all those hitler followers in the audience..they all look pissed and stupid...i betcha that was a long drive home for all the racist idiots at mccains concession speech....hahaha...GO OBAMA! 2012

  • If somehow he won in 2000 maybe history would have been more kind to him. Im not an Obama supporter or McCain but on this night I became a fan of John McCain.

  • He got more class than his trashy audience.

  • how is obama for you know you idoits. great pick. can we stop letting morons vote

  • McCain looks like Sol Tigh from Battlestar Galactica.

  • Great concession speech. John McCain showed awesome integrity here. Something tells me that if Obama had lost the election, there wouldn't have been juvenile boo's and yells at his concession speech. Just saying.

  • @braddyboy82 Wouldn't doubt it.

  • How contrasting to the dirty campaign he ran. Great concession speech.

  • @3rkid2 agreed

  • Yes, John McCain was eloquent and humble. But I can't believe he still said things like, "Sarah Palin, one of the best campaigners and an impressive new voice in our party." Oh, John... either it was too late to take it back, or he was deluded. Why he picked her for his running mate, I will never know. Thank goodness our country had the sense to elect Obama.

  • @raerae1281 Yeahing electing a man like obama that has done more harm to our country in just 2 years then that of what Bush did in 8 years. Great pick for sure. McCain should have won and the only reason he did not win was because he was a right winger and because he was white and old. What a joke our country has become

  • @stevienightheat1 What on earth are you talking about? Bush is the one who plunged our country into the greatest recession since... well, the Great Depression. What damage has Obama done? He's working like a dog to clean up Bush's mess. I suppose finally finding and killing Bin Laden when Bush couldn't do it in eight years is one of those things that has done "great harm" to our country. Get your facts straight.

  • @stevienightheat1 I think you're going to find out that if Obama loses in 2012 that the Republicans won't be able to fix this economic mess either. I don't deny that things have gotten worse under Mr.Obama but we don't know what the Republicans are going to do. I mean do you trust Romney and Bachmann? I sure don't....

  • @preving No but I trust McCain who has a proven track record for success and honor. McCain is a mans man and worked his whole life to be in the white house and serve his country. Obama beating McCain is sick imo

  • @stevienightheat1 Obama has got to get the economy going and get jobs for the people starting in September. If he doesn't, he's screwed for the election. 26% approval rating isn't helping him. I don't trust the Republicans at all....

  • i feel sorry for him lol, even though i dont support him

  • HES A WAR HERO <3...A WAR HERO THAT GOT CAPTURED </3...I DONT WANNA VOTE FOR THE GUY THAT GOT CAPTURED,IAM GONNA GO FOR THE ONE THAT GOT AWAY=)

  • if only mccain didnt wait untill he lost to sound this candid and eloquent ...great concession speech, very classy

  • if only mccain didnt wait untill he lost sound this candid and eloquent ...great concession speech, very classy

  • I think McCain lost the election once voters heard Palin speak. He and his ad visors made a very bad decision to select Palin as VP. That is what did him in because he, if anybody, deserved to president for his service to this country, but his horrible judgment to pick a bird brain for VP destroyed his chances.

  • @ontiverosgabriela69 i think that he thought that if he had a woman on the ticket then he would get the female vote.

  • His age cost him , bush screwed him up

He is a great man nontheless :)

  • his age cost him.

  • cant wait to see palin to say here own speech in 2012

  • The racist "boooo" LOL

  • Bill Maher showed John Kerry's concession speech and there was no booing when Kerry mentioned Bush's name, and this was after that guy screwed up the country for 4 years.

  • It's funny how there was lukewarm applause at best with McCain talking about "working together" and the first mention of Sarah Palin gets everyone cheering like crazy!

  • LOSER!!!!!!!!!!!! hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha

  • Why does everybody look like Zombies? From the looks of their faces you would think the world is coming to an end. The race wasn't even close, it was a complete blow out. Don't blame Mccain, blame Bush!

  • @winstonblake25 I blame both Bush & McCain. McCain was clearly was out of his depths on economic issues. I heard it said that he cared about only foreign policy--well it showed. As for Palin, her choice breathed life into a dying campaign--as shown by the surge in the polls. When the economy collasped just before the election,he killed his campaign by supporting the bailout. Obama is a disaster, but so would McCain have been. The person the country needed then, now and in 2012 is Ron Paul.

  • Comment removed

  • I commend this guy on his concession speech, however during the entire campaign he threw any and everything at Mr. Obama to convince people that Obama wasn't the right one for president. I think he would've had a better chance at winning or even coming close to winning if he had not picked Sarah Palin as a running mate. She clearly destroyed his campaign, I never heard of her until he picked her as his running mate. She will never be president, her own party will rip her up. Obama is the man!!!!

  • Wish they'd actually listened to him but no, instead they go and form the tea party...

  • NAHH, NAAHHH, NAHHH, Hey, hey, Hey good bye lardass!

  • @stupidlag There were probably some there, but why would MSNBC show black people at a McCain rally?

  • The best speech of the decade

  • How much this man has changed. This is the McCain we need to see again. Amazing excellence.

  • Gibson's and Kouric's interview did so much harm to the mccain campaign, why didn't she accept being prepped for the interview(s)?

  • @neftalireyes8 I agree that Kouric's interview did really deliver the killing blow to the campaign. However, I don't think that Gibson's interview hurt them that much, many people didn't know what "the Bush doctrine" was but did know George Bush believed in invading countries and spreading democracy via force, when the people watching the interview they got confused by the wording as well and they really didn't dip much at all in the polls; it was an understandable mistake.

  • Sarah Palin caused this man the Presidency...

  • Comment removed

  • @TheEsotericDesi I agree with you wholeheartedly. John McCain was supposed to be president. Obama could still become president in the future, but 2008 was supposed to be McCain's. I hope Sarah Palin will become irrelevant soon enough. She's cost the republic too much.

  • @TheEsotericDesi No John McCain was never going to win because Barack Obama was,is and always will be a better candidate to lead the United States of America no matter what your right wing, fox news filled mind tells you.

  • @CapitalBhoy78 I know that... but Sarah Palin, once her stupidity came clear, really caused damage...

  • @bruinsfleetcommander Oh wow, so I am speaking to an intelligent human being here? Thank you NOW I respect your opinion because you're actually speaking about him and his policies rather than his middle name being of a middle-eastern origin. If you don't say stupid things, I won't treat you like a stupid person.

  • @bruinsfleetcommander Barack* and by the way, you just completely proved my point. It's people like you that are an embarrassment to humanity. Sure you may not, not like him because he is black but you don't like him because his middle name is Hussein? That's a common black name because Islam was widespread throughout the black community in Egypt and other places and it still is. It doesn't mean he is the same as Saddam Hussein or won't be a good President. Damn you're dumb.

  • of course ud b glad seeing u knew all along

  • Illuminati ! RED KNEKS !!!

  • 90 percent of the audience are racists 5 percent kids who just dont like obama and 5 percent war veterans

  • You can just tell all of the audience are all just fucking racists hahahaa.

  • Haha, listen to the illiterate rednecks in the audience there! Hilarious!:)

  • ALAN KEYES 2012!

  • McCain is a good person, with military and senatorial experiences ,, GOP should have nominated him in 2000,, rather than that Oil tycoon

  • America's fore fathers were all f*ggets... They wore Wigs and Stretch pants like women. America Should be ashamed of their Fore Fathers. They were all Child Molester, Slave Rapeing, f*ggets

  • one classy dude

  • interesting it sounds like some people booed Palin. Even Republicans know she is bad newz

  • I didn't vote for him, but I commend McCain's class here. Very gracious.

  • surprisingly, this speech is so unlike John McCain as seen during the election champagne. Had he given such elegant speech during his champagne he wouldn't have lost so pathetically. John McCain u did well in this speech. My condolences for your loss....

  • People treat politics like sports. they pick a side and blindly cheer and boo in favor of it. America, sometime you often worry me.

  • @rushindulen I know, I have those same feelings, and I'm American. Our democracy is extremely flawed. The voice of the people, who supposedly run the country, is silenced by richest one percent who hold the country's wealth. However I'm glad Obama won, though he's not doing so well in my opinion. I voted for him because the conservative process, is nothing but warmongering, discrimination, the upholding of the status quo. plus the words "President Sarah Palin" made me cringe.

  • @rushindulen I fear the future too... these Countryasses are really scary fuckheads...

  • 00:24 and onwards, a bleak foreshadowing of what was to come for President Obama.

  • this is almost word for word Al gore concession speech!! it's like the word for defeat are the same

  • BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • This was probably one of the worst days of my life. As predicted though, Obama has failed.

  • @usmarine680 believe me , your life would have been MUCH worse if this guy and sarah palin (OH god, i cant even begin to think how bad would have been for the us to have that brainless whore as a vicepresident) if they had won the election. Obama has been a big dessapointment, but a lot of that is thanks to stupid republicans that blocked every chance for him to do any good.

and please oh please dont give me the "he is a socialist" crap.

anyways, much respect for you and soldiers.

  • @usmarine680 lol rage more

  • LOL 1:07

    THIS IS...AN....HISTORICAL ELECTION...... FAIL

  • @violenttj What? How is that a fail? It WAS an historic election.

  • @TheOnlineCommunity It WAS a grammatical fail obviously, should have been this is a historical election not this was an historical election.

  • @violenttj the election was over when he made the speech

  • Classy, but very ironic after his endless filibusters of democratic legislation, including DADT.

  • @FurryLover1994 I'll have you know, he has many pants! GOOD DAY, SIR!

  • nice and respectful speech!! nice choice of words but poor choice of audience

  • His supporters are racist. You can hear it the whole time.

  • although I'm an obama supporter, I think McCain left with great grace and sportsmanship and I respect him for that.
