  • i have an nvidia card, but let's face it: physx sucks

  • first you shoot the tower guy with a gun, then after he falls you wipe out the tower with a rocket. Could have saved gun ammo but no quick death for tower guy allowed :)

  • What's going on at 1:43? You shoot the top of the building, and the whole thing instantly blows apart, even at the base? This looks like it's just pre-defined break pieces.

  • @Leadwerks rifle grenade launcher

  • is just my pc or the sound is out of sync?

  • game doesnt even look great

  • exaggerated hollywood physics, but it is still awsome!

  • What the hell is Cuda? PhyX I'm assuming is the obvious...something about physics in games, lol, but if that's so, I'm pretty sure ATi's top of the line cards can handle, or do physics (obviously). So...what's the big difference? Sales plot for nVidia?

  • @JoDaddyy I'm also trying to learn more about CUDA. From my research, it appears to be the framework of how the gpu runs. As far as Physx, it's pretty much better physics in games. Physx does 2 things.

    1. It unlocks specific effects put in specific games. ATI cards will not run these effects. Example: Window shades that move when hit with gunfire in Mirrors Edge.

    2. It takes certain aspects of a game/program that were meant for CPU and frees up processing power by allocating that to the GPU.

  • @Briluvr Yeah, I already knew what PhysX was, but I guess you couldn't tell that by that I worded on what it was lol. But, thanks! That increased my understanding on PhysX, and also CUDA. Those two things are why I'm sticking with nVidia. And also, apparently nVidia has better, more reliable and more mature drivers, a long with better tesselation technology.

  • @JoDaddyy I agree, Nvidia warrants the extra cash

  • @Briluvr Exactly!

  • its even 10 times harder to cut the tree with M60..

  • I don't get it, if im playing online with a nvidia card, and blow up a tower... Does the ATI guy see the tower fall? (or more importantly, can the falling tower kill the ATI guy).

  • @TheGoreonius I'm wondering that as I'm going to get an ATI card, but don't want to suddenly lose all the stuff that's associated with nvidia...

  • @TheGoreonius some things aren't cuda physx related, the massive amount of particles are the physx stuff, but the big towers falling, yeah, thats not physx, and yes, it will kill the ATI guy, given he is standing under it

  • Crysis did all this shit and better without Cuda or physx

  • @chandru2446 dont even compare any game to crysis, thats stupid

  • it's a old game guys... Physics like that were good when the game released.

  • yea because subsonic 9mm rounds can do that.

  • Cool Ripping the Floor :):):)

  • 0:41 retarded plank on the upper left corner lol

  • Those graphics are terrible, looks like yet another game with an art team paid on the cheap. You can't save crap graphics with just a little bit of middleware like PhysX or however they implemented it in this game/=.

  • Whoa, looks good!

  • 0:41

    Yea. Nice bug

  • fps numbers?

  • to be honest the physics look too simple.... wasnt impressed.

  • Simple in comparison to what exactly? Gow? lmao

  • slow

  • Very bad .... think they could achieve better than this.

  • games like RedFaction could do the same many years ago on celeron 500MHz so it's not really amazing, just another part of code which will not be optimized because GPUs are fast enough.

  • Yep, once they make a GOOD game that also looks great with cuda arc and makes extreme use of physx, maybe we'll be onto something. In the meantime, graw blows, darkest of days REALLLLY blows, and batman only makes limited use of it.

  • DP45SG is gonna be my new mobo, gonna get graw free haha

  • Intel position is shaking

Intel is one of the NWO

  • okay why the hell post something like that

this is a freikin physics example and you go on about social and ethical issues and human nature

we have games for entertainment something our body's need

  • Because wind blowing leaves, debris, clothes, water around are destruction, am I right?

  • If things don't blow up, you don't dramatically see the game's physics represented such as this. Besides, we play this so we don't go apeshit and punch hippies like you : )

  • lol

it lags on Nvidia channel's PC

i wonder if my 8600GT can run it

    LMAO

  • i'll be supprised if it even has Cuda technology enabled ? =P

  • it does... for some useless reason, it does

  • PhysX is based on CUDA technology.

  • what kinda palm tree is going to be cut like that with a few shots

    looks nice

but not exactly what happens in real life

  • Yea, looks like everything in this game was constructed with plastic nails and butter lol

  • Yeah, seems like a lot of people underestimate trees.

  • mythbusters took a gatlin gun and it took a while to cut down a tree

i think the tree cought fire before it was cut down

  • @bestSVMS sway that to crysis too xD. its like *boom* *boom* *boom *SNAP!*. My sulotion is that in the future the guns are alot more powerfull. you know.. crysis is in the year of 2020 :)

  • @DJWaFFle996

unless your shotting explosives, trees aren't that weak

  • @bestSVMS yeh :P

  • @bestSVMS they can change that at any time in development of the game. they could just be showing off

  • @bestSVMS But this game dosent show the real life physx , it just shows the Perfomence of the physx engine

  • @bestSVMS funny how no one says this about crysis, but yeah.

  • will making games become easier as time progresses?

  • The actual game making yes. But creating the engines and the editing tools it runs of no. MUCH MUCH harder

  • well its the making of games im concerned with. how long does it take to make comercial quality games and what is the process? is planning and coming up with ideas the hardest most time consuming part?

  • Planning/scripting takes quite a while but most of the time is the engine creation. That can take a LONG time. The engine that crysis ran off was developed in quite a small time meaning that it was terribly inefficient. The source enigne however is still beeing modified to perform better and that's ontop of the intital few years of creation.

A quick game can be made in 1 - 1 1/2 years. A decent game like l4d or half life 2 takes 2-3 years. tf2 took 8 years =) but then it was held in the middle

  • possibly?

Well... you WILL still have to mke your own parts for the game and such, but maybe the language will become easier, so no more need for C++ coding in games... But ah. There are already programs like fpscreator x10!

    :D

  • did anyone else notice how the debris slides to one side?? Kinda strange effect XD

  • it was the wind........the leafs are flying tree bending an debris SLIDING XD

  • great potential

    realistic physics

    need some work

but already can be played via multiplayer

  • Needs work...but awesome potential.

  • nice physx
