  • Lots of feeling! *****

  • @onedayillgeteven Thanks! I posted this when I first learned it and it's a little rough in a couple parts. The revised version I did is much cleaner.

  • As a newer guitar player I'm starting to venture into the world of lead and solo playing. I recognize the begining phrases of this as the extended pentatonic, but my question to you is what key is this solo in? I'm guessing its in C but not sure. I'm trying to teach myself to play in the proper keys. I guessed C because your first note of the solo is C and some of the root note stops seem to be C. Am I right? Thanks for the help.

  • @misterjim05 I believe the lead is in C for the reasons you stated but I'm not sure.

  • @misterjim05 FYI, this song is in Fmaj. Also, try playing the inversions for all the major chords.

  • Great job!

  • Excellent job!

  • Thanks!

  • Hey Amigo, Blessings be upon you my son. When so many solo's in the music thats on the air today sounding like a 3 hour plane crash it's nice to see someone pick on a solo that says something,Blessings ,

  • Appreciate the comment, best to you.

  • Nice rendition, you go, old fav's :)

  • Don't worry, the more you play it the looser you'll get. I know you'll be tearin' it up before you know it! Great job

  • good job but let it loose, relax! One of the best solos of all time, I think! It's perfect. Expecting more punch I guess..or something.... I dunno, good job though

  • You're right, the performance was a little too stiff. I had just learned this solo when I posted it.

  • I'm not ripping you at all, it sounded great. The notes were perfect, it's just missing some aggressiveness, seemed a little timid/hesitant. Like you were unsure. I'm thinking about giving it a go tomorrow, got a tab link? Love to see you revise this. Thanks

  • Thanks...yep, it was little off as you said. I just re-learned it tonight and I'll post a revised version in the next few days. Tab is on the way.

  • ehh kinda spot on but its a cover soo props non the less =]

  • Awesome! Spot on dude!

  • Thanks bro, excellent work on the bass as well!

  • Is it just me or were the best solos ever from the 70s'? You are brilliant at this by the way. I especially like your B.O.C. post. Buck Dharmas sound is actually kind of hard to narrow down. What amp are you using?

  • I agree, and every song actually had a solo. Appreciate it. Using a Marshall S80 with various effects. Love all of BD's guitar work, too.

  • Kiss..."Rock and Roll all Nite" lacked a solo on the studio version,I know this is nit picking, but as for the root comment,...I'm with you,70's means guitar solos and some of the best.Buck Dharma is a fav too...faster than a shit-house mouse!!!Great job on the Elvin, thanks for posting it LPSWBB!!!Rock On!

  • Absolutely brilliant! You certainly make it look easy and I know very well it is not. Please send me the tabs. I am getting close to learning this but can't figure out a few licks.

Thank you for this great post.

  • Thanks! Just sent you the tabs.

  • Yeah Dude ,That was just plain "B.A.D." Simple as that... TKP

  • Thanks man

  • very nice job! Could I please have the tab?

It would be much appreciated. again good job, very smooth

  • Hey thanks...tab is on the way.

  • Thanks so much, appreciate it, enjoy playing.....

  • Nice. Question here. How much time do you put in working out the guitar parts (on average) before posting videos? Thanks.

  • Thanks. Usually takes an hour ot two to work out a solo and then I'm ready to post.

  • Excellent!

I'm nowhere near as good as you but would love to give this a try. Can you send the tabs. Thanks.

  • Thanks, I sent the tabs.

  • How long have you been playing? You're really good and do really good solos and intro (all the young dudes). Can you please send me the tabs to this?

    Thanks :)

  • Thanks very much, been playing on and off for a few years. Tabs are on the way for this song.

  • The Rams may suck, But you are a hell of a guitar picker.

  • Dude, you do the BEST cover of this lead that I have ever seen/heard. Could you repose this some time with some slower instruction so that it is a little easier to follow? Thanks for considering it.

  • Thanks very much. I sent you the tab and hopefully it will help.

  • by the way Day Dream is on the (Twice removed from yesterday cd)notice also that the drummer stays in sync with guitar playing but goes off on his own little trip, awsome song

  • look up robin trower and see if you can do his daydream solo

  • your bad ass u influenced me to play guitar bro..keep up the good work. 5/5. you are amazing

  • Cool, thanks for the comment!

  • Why would you post your effort unless it was perfect. Lame dude. B- effort.

  • What is lame dude is that you can't play it and you're whining about perfection.

  • Wailing brother!

  • Appreciate it, fun song to play!

  • Nice job man. Sweet guitar. Had one myself (Les Paul Studio Red Wine) but after playing for over twenty years finally gave up on hoping I could pick like you and the other rockers on Youtube and got rid of it. Just can't whistle with my fingers. Rythym guitar a breeze. Lead guitar a whole nuther story.

  • Thanks bro...those LPSs are a blast to play.

  • Okay, try this....guitarpro. That helped

me out tremendously. I was in a rut for

    years but guitarpro just works.

  • Thanks, I'm sure it sounds pretty sweet.
