@ladiealex2006 I keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – check out my Nail Maintenance vid in the Tips & Trick playlist for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.
I found that when I do mine this way, I dry the first coat of color then apply second coat with the drops and swirl them. I dont use a toothpick or marbelizing tool ( might leave bold spots) but a very fine thin brush. No bold spots guranteed!! ;)

Hi Ms. Colette, I have a question. How come when you did your Aqua Swirls and your Red and White Hearts Drag, do you have to start with your nails dry with a base coat then do the swirls, or can you prep your nails first then do it? Just a thought.
you really need to go to bed and yet you have to do your nails first, that shows how dedicated you are to your nails i love this nail look i will try it out deffinetly.

@MySimpleLittlePleasures Thanks so much your advice was very helpful I watched your short nails tutorial and found it very helpful as well. I actually am starting a nail art channel of my own on a different account and I will comment on a video telling you the name of my channel. Thanks sooooooo much I love watching your videos keep making more!!!! I actually have 2 ideas for some videos: Can you make a water marble tutorial using neon pink polish, neon yellow polish, and neon green polish? A
@MySimpleLittlePleasures I have really really short nails... Are there any tips or tricks for short nails? Also, I find that China Glaze polish works really well in marbling, compared to others. Like the other brands I have tried don't even spread or they get goopy... What are the best brands for marbling?
@25weissguy if you have short nails you get less of the design, so it's important where you dip your nail- check out my short nails marble with my mom as hand model for tips =) there really isn't a best brand though, every color is different & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work best– the colors I use are always listed in the information box. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH
@MySimpleLittlePleasures I am a huge fan of your videos and I have learned sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo much from them. I actually water marbeled my nails for the first time on Friday night and they came out gorgeous!!! I used 2 different colors, China Glaze White on White and China Glaze Cowgirl Up. I love watching your videos and they have really helped me. Keep making more!!!
These look so cool and easy!! I haven't tried but I really want to!! Just 1 question is does it have to be a room tempature water? If so why? Also what kind of cup do you use??
@kddolphin12 this vid is drag marbling but I'm guessing you're asking about water marbling - polish will not spread as well in cold water – you can check out my water comparison under the Tips & Tricks playlist in the information box to see the difference =) I use a 5 oz paper cup
how do you do your nails and then go to bed?? seems like if i do miine and then go to bed i ALWAYS wake up with smudged nails with fabric imprints in it =(
@chordoverstreet1419 Are you using filtered water? Also keep in mind that not all polish works - the brand doesn't really matter but every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. You want one with good pigmentation, maybe a little on the thick side but thin enough to drip & above all slow-drying. HTH =)
gorrrggg...what do you use on your nail's to grow..I got mine pretty long...they broke im soooo not happy about it..I ran out of my strengthener that might be whhy..lol need to go get some more but just curious as to how u take care of your nail's..

@SimpleLittlePleasues when science is speaking i researched that your nils grow 1 mm a day even thiugh you don't nohice it . in 100 days your nails will be 1 cm . 1mm a week is very slow for normal nail growth .
Do you always paint your nails before bed so that they dry in the night? I've tried that a few times but my nails tend to get smudged in bed if I do that.
I think this is nice for toenails as well, as it's kinda impossible to dip your toes in a cup of water for water marbling. Thank you for this tutorial~!
@computergurl12 for water marbling, there really isn't a best brand, every color is different in the water & it just takes a lot of trial & error to find the ones that work well. @yuriyfran es agua normal dice agua embotellada pero yo lo he hecho con agua de la llave e igual sale =) y la marca es de china glaze espero te haya servido
@lovincutesutff Hmm, I'll add it to my list, but honestly I don't know that I'd ever do it on my toes - I've had a few viewers do it sucessfully but it seems like it would be pretty messy =)

how long does that take to completely dry? i know even when im painting my nails normally i sometimes have thick areas on my nails and i go to bed then i wake up with the imprint from my blanket or something! haha i hate it!!
@SimpleLittlePleasues - Thanks for replying! :) Really you went to bed right after? Im always so scared haha i have the worst luck i always have to paint my nails in the morning! I should give that stuff a try I've heard good things about it, thanks!
Beautiful! But i wanted to ask my favorite nail care youtuber this, why is it that on the tip of my nail tips are white, but half the tips are a yellowish, clear?I'm growing them, from being a biter, and I've been concerned. Is it from lack of vitamins?
@SurfingAmanda while yellowing can occassionally be a sign of poor health, normally it is just from wearing polish - and the tip has been exposed to the most polish as it grows out, which is why it is more yellow there & fades the closer to the cuticle. I don't normally worry about it, but I do discuss a few tips if you want to try to whiten them in my Nail Maintenance vid =)

hi great video! Can you make a tutorial for pedicure using water marble?
lovincutesutff 1 year ago
@lovincutesutff Hmm, I'll add it to my list, but honestly I don't know that I'd ever do it on my toes - I've had a few viewers do it sucessfully but it seems like it would be pretty messy =)

@SimpleLittlePleasues thanks anyways!

question could you use the nailpolish named depend ?
Roxy8409 1 year ago
@Roxy8409 I've never used that brand, but as long as it doesn't dry super quick it should work fine =)
SimpleLittlePleasues 1 year ago
@Roxy8409 I've tryed a couple of times, but the polish drys too quickly, making it impossible to even add more layers in the water.

Question... how do you take care of your nails? They're so long! I always try to grow my nails out like but they keep cracking :-(
jules892 1 year ago
@jules892 I try to keep my nails moisturized, lots of lotion & cuticle oil & I also take a biotin supplement – you can check out my Nail Maintenance vid for my full routine. I do occasionally get a tear or break but you can check out my tutorial on silk wrap patching for how I save those nails =) I do "Naked Nails" posts on my blog every month or so where I talk more about like all the specific products I'm currently using.

how long does that take to completely dry? i know even when im painting my nails normally i sometimes have thick areas on my nails and i go to bed then i wake up with the imprint from my blanket or something! haha i hate it!!
zaqwertify 1 year ago
@zaqwertify I actually went to bed right after I recorded - I always use Seche Vite & it dries everything very fast =)
SimpleLittlePleasues 1 year ago
@SimpleLittlePleasues - Thanks for replying! :) Really you went to bed right after? Im always so scared haha i have the worst luck i always have to paint my nails in the morning! I should give that stuff a try I've heard good things about it, thanks!

Beautiful! But i wanted to ask my favorite nail care youtuber this, why is it that on the tip of my nail tips are white, but half the tips are a yellowish, clear?I'm growing them, from being a biter, and I've been concerned. Is it from lack of vitamins?
SurfingAmanda 1 year ago
@SurfingAmanda while yellowing can occassionally be a sign of poor health, normally it is just from wearing polish - and the tip has been exposed to the most polish as it grows out, which is why it is more yellow there & fades the closer to the cuticle. I don't normally worry about it, but I do discuss a few tips if you want to try to whiten them in my Nail Maintenance vid =)
