Here's what I think YouTube should do about music in the videos: Instead of flagging you and I for copyright, why don't they just place a link with the video where viewers can go to iTunes and purchase the songs?
Actually, they do that. One option is to run ads on videos, and leave links, no questions asked, no strikes, or problems. The other options, we all know, strip the audio, or whole video from the site.
I don't understand what 1st Amendment right they tried to violate? Please explain. Malls are private property remember...you have no freedom to even be there if they so choose to ask you to leave. Just cause it's a MALL doesn't make it any less private than a HOME.
The rule is grossly outdated, as it was to discourage people with their big cameras, and larger camcorders, from distracting and intefering with people's duties, and privacy. Nowadays, everyone's got cameras, and everyone uses them in malls, and other quasi-private locations. They need to bother people that are being intrusive, and bothersome, which I tried to be neither. This place is paranoid, anyway....
@georgef551 it's not a public place, you're thinking of things like a public park, etc. A mall is private property open to the public. Don't confuse unlocked doors as an invitation to do whatever you want on THEIR property.
I am so glad you won against the mall guards, who are basically security THUGS! I am a 1st Amendment/Constitution advocate 100%, and I can not believe they put out an all points bulletin for someone doing nothing harmful! Meanwhile, there might be a mass shooting, a terrorist explosion, a sexual attack, or a shoplifting going on, and yet, they take down an innocent person with a camera?! Give me a break!
Yes, mall security should be more alert for things like robbert/shoplifting/theft, and attacks/sexual perversion crimes, rather than someone photographing elevators.
Just a few weeks ago, a guy walked around with an umbrella near Nordstrom, two nimrods called the cops, telling them he had a gun. The mall was vacated, SWAT teams, State Cops, was oon the news, LIVE, for 90 minutes, only to find out it was just an employee from the nearby Lahey Clinic with the umbrella. They are cowards over there.
Wow, those two people who reported the man for just an umbrella should go to jail, because that was filing a false report. Also, were they shoppers, guards, or mall workers?
Fabulous Gauntlet, I liked the animation cartoon of a security which the "Busted to Allied-Barton to Escapeometer" came on-screen which I liked, and the voice of security came from one of the South Park Characters, and I'd said Security has been beaten by The Wicked Witch of the West!
Did you say in the video that the distance between the first and second floor of the mall is 15 ft. and the distance from first floor to second floor in Lord and Taylor is 12 feet?
When approching the store from the second floor, you either walk down ramps, or steps, to meet the second floor of Lord and Taylor, 3 feet shorter than the mall, as the mall was originally single-story, so the height difference occurrs.
wow the down chime did a duet with itself! nice mini cross the street. nordstrom escalators look good. said music should spray evenly. its also scenic like the one in worcester. different that it says ONE. cool voice affects. some elevators like to bounce. you would think that both are the same brand. that cop nearly got you! yay elevators look fun. yellow striping helps me see the escalator. after the snow melts i might do this at umass amherst.
SIMON malls are hard on elevator photographers.

Most of them are. One mall actually allowed me to do it, so long as I didn't bother/capture others.

You just witnessed someone beat the system, which is a very rare event, with Allied Barton Security.

Too bad I already did all that, walking from Crate & Barrel, to Macy's.
I usually just leave it to complaining about why they play music so loud. Too easy. :)

Glad you liked it.
Doesn't matter when you see it, it's that you did see it.

EXACTLY! There are much bigger issues to keep an eye out for, than someone minding their OWN BUISNESS documenting a mall walk-though.
I don't think terrorists would come here, Al Qadea is scared of Allied Bullies...uhh...Barton. :)

You know, they didn't know what it was, and we can't be too safe, so it MUST be a GUN!
This has to be the 2'nd worst PARANOID mall in the State.
(Cambridge-Side Galleria Opression Camp being top coward.)
georgef551 9 months ago
Yes, I think Massachussetts and New York are the most paranoid states over terrorism, and they think that long objects look like a weapon.
CaptainElevator42189 9 months ago
@CaptainElevator42189
Surprised they didn't shut dowen the mall after finding out I was recording this video. :)
georgef551 9 months ago
Yes, that would have been the absolute worst.

Probably would've been told, by the Burlington Police, to stop, and leave, and to not ever come back.

Actually, I did all the voiceovers. 100% original, based on their scrambling, and employee help.
The camerawork was a tad off, and more jerky, sine I was watching everyone from every angle, which is how I derived the "Heat" Meter.

Someday, I'd like to go there, as well as The Mall at Ingleside (Holyoke, MA).
It'll be awhile before another mall Gauntlet, at least a mall owned by SIMON. :)
