well, when you put it that way. They keep trying something different and they keep pissing off people while they do. the gameplay, to me, looks more like a return to pso with a graphics update. If you look at the chronology you'd realize that PSO predates Monster Hunter. What is your complaint exactly? This looks nothing like star ocean to me How does this look more like star ocean than PSO?

This game looks like a Star Ocean 4 ripoff with some tacked on monster hunter elements. I can't wait to see all the god awful looking character designs flood the lobbies.

@vivacarlie I was a pretty avid fan of PSO 124&3. I guess that sounded grumpy, but I really don't like the direction the developers are taking with PSO2, in both style and development. You're right though, I can't read japanese, so please enlighten me.

I can see so many bugs & glitches in this game already, plus they've kept so many sounds and moves from PSU & PSO. For example the double handed sword was not even touching the characters back.

@DivineDestroid So many bugs "Already"? The alpha test should have the most bugs. The PS series has always kept their nostalgia when progressing through the series, there should be no surprise there. Its just an alpha so dont read too much into it yet

And there is no announcement for North America. We don't even know if it will come to North America. A producer has only vaguely mentioned that there is interest to release but no formal plans.

If they do release it in North America, they should put us in the same server as Japan so population decay doesn't kill the game like PSU. Not to mention, we actually might get treated better than what happened in PSU.
