In addition, when a guy comes up to me and says 'i like you' i really dont take it seriously. This is because I attribute that approach to (dare i say) the street guys that walk past you in the street with their famous line 'hey girl, your nice, i like you, i want to get to know you'. This may be a reason why genuine guys may not like to use the phrase 'i like u'.

my x boyfriend told me 'he loves me''. I think this was his way of saying 'i like you'! because I only knew him for about 4months! Looking back i think this was soo wrong. Is it possible to love in that short space of time. I was thinking how can you say that when you do not know me? So in that circumstance I think guys should definitely use the word 'LIKE' and not 'LOVE'.

@chameleonesque91 I miss you just means I have been thinking about you a lot or you have been on my mind or I cant stop thinking about you. I miss you can also mean - I wish I could spend more time with you or I miss your company, I miss seeing you and being around you. If a guy tells you that he loves you early in the relationship, its possible that he might be in love or he really likes you and cares about you. I told my wife I loved her very early in the relationship. we are married today!

@wcshanice You should watch my wife's video on how to get a guy you like to approach you. In the video she gives some advice on how to give the guy you like the right signals so that he approaches you, that way it doesnt have to be you chasing him. if you give him all the right signals and he likes you as well then he will make a move to get to know you.
