Read Marvel's Ultimate Doomsday last night in one sitting---it contained all 3 of Bendis's ultimate books post-ultimatum. I couldn't believe who the villain was. That took guts on bendis's part and I am surprised Marvel okayed it.
I really love the new Batman and Robin comics with Dick and Damien, I just find the new combo, of a more whole-hearted and somewhat more understanding Batman, with a violent and dark, robin, just so refreshing. and that fact that Grant Morrison can still maintain some a cannon believable story line, with such dramatic and amazing changes, is just so Great!
wow.. i saw reviews on like Blackest Night Green lantern and some liked it where its going. i picked up an issue and it's bad.. it's really all over the place with the story.. only thing i liked was the art.
Welcome back! I completely agree with you on the new perspective of looking at comics, because I was in a similar boat as you. I am thinking of not picking up many superhero comics, and just focus more on independent titles. Again, welcome back.
good times! i haven't really checked out spider-man since BND but that soap opera drama angle you mentioned sounds pretty refreshing. maybe i'll give it a chance
totally agree with blackest night, if you just read the green lantern stuff, that is enough to get the story without hero overload, bringing back EVERYONE in the dcu. who are all these people???
Well I'm passing the Blackest Night Reviews to you! You're going to have to dedicate an episode to the super-power ring bearers of sector 2814... or what I like to call team color cluster fuck
Hey Michael! I'm glad that you are back with yet another great review. I'm sorry to hear about your break-up. It happens man. Keep your head up, and you'll make it through. Tell you what....if your ever in the States, hit me up and you can come party with my bros and I.
I posted this video on the Facebook page for my store. Maybe we'll get some more viewers over here?
By party I hope you mean a vigorous debate who would win a tag team match up of Captain Marvel & Superman vs Thor and The Sentry? No, we could drinking instead. Seriously, thanks for that. You never know.
It's been too long, Michael. You've been very missed. Apropos Detective Comics, the artistry will blow your freakin' mind. The story, however, while still decent, not so much. ''Paper thin'' is what I often found myself remarking after the first arc, but thats just me. Be let us know your thoughts soon.
You missed the BEST part. Flying planes into houses is so much fun! I'm very happy to be back ranting and raving to a computer screen to be shared with fellow geeks. Detective Comics... incroyable! Remember, the most important part for you to know is... I'M SIGNAL!

YAYAYAYAY! Welcome back to comicdom.
I TOTALLY agree about how much cooler Marvel is than DC, but I'm still reading all that Blackest Night stuff anyway.
Detective is totally amazing.

Dude,
Don't stop what you do. You're really good. I see great things for you.

I have to agree with you on Blackest Night. I just think it's dull.
Plus, if you stop and think about all the different lantern colors out there, its just flat out silly, sir.
TheComicRant 2 years ago
the color lanterns seems like a cluster fuck orgy where nobody knows what they're doing.

Great to have you back man!
