noel couldnt stand for jimi to nod his head at him when it came time to change chords thats why noel looked away at times , and you can also tell jimi was very fed up with that to , you could see it in his face
@WWEhopeful Jimi said something in an interview to the effect of the audience wanting his visual gyrations and on-stage antics more than the his superior musicality and it bummed him out. the former was a good attention grabber but the latter is what Jimi was increasingly devoted to and knew would sustain him for the long haul career-wise.
@g0ldbuG The Experience was straddling a socio-cultural borderline between the improvisational jazz world and the more image-oriented rock world and Jimi knew it to be a tenuous balance. Undoubtedly Jimi was disappointed in a large part of the audience which was insensitive to the subtleties and artistic accomplishment of his music as hard as he worked on it and as much as he believed in its transcendental value.
Obviously still great because its Hendrix, but man were they off at this show. They hadn't been able to score any drugs and were in desperate need after the show ended. The tension between Hendrix and Noel in this show is obvious unfortunately.
@Hendrix247 I like Jimi making fun of Noel at the beginning, lol, counting frets, lol.JImi was grating onstage towards BuddyMiles after that trio wasnt werking out as well.
@isveryniceyes Jimi was aping Noel when counting the frets,lol..Jimi was grating onstage towards BuddyMiles as well when Buddy`s playing was not suitable to Jimi as well.
@added23 ,Noel was an amateur on bass and often counted down the frets to get the right key,by this time Jimi was tired of Noels` redundant bass lines.Jimi made snide and unflattering remarks about BuddyMiles playing while on-stage numerous times as well when he was tired of Buddy`s 'power' drumming.Thats why he called up Mitch and Billy, then it was perfect.
@added23 .Jimi had some serious debt and had to come up with an LP to cover a lawsuit from EdChalpin and the construction of ElectricLadylandStudios so BandofGypsy`s was quickly hatched but I dont think Jimi had any intention of keeping this line-up going.Buddy`s 'power' drumming doesnt come close to MitchMitchells` virtuoso 'jazz' influenced drumming that goes perfect with Jimi`s style.MichaelJeffery is the greedy piece of shit that was ripping Jimi off from day one,
@hendrix7755 I just watched BlueAngel Jimi at The Isle Of Wight and could not find him counting the frets during the show,I think maybe we are both mistaken .
@hendrix7755 yea,I ended up watching my DVD again ,(stoned this time, lol) and caught it just b4 Watchtower ,and he wags his finger at Billy as if confirming or making him aware of the Key of the song ,or some other motive? who knows.Kinda weird though,I mean Jimi was a guy that fried his eggs in the mornin` with his Strat already on practicing,it seems odd that he would need to count the frets down so I always assumed he was jostling Noel.
where's the rest of this film?

Yet another subtle shade from his musical kaleidoscope. There is just so much great music turning up on this site. Thanks for posting.
