The team that made duke though was pretty small compared to today's powerhouse studios, and well... they didn't have the best managers for "getting it shipped". I mean, if it came out when it was still on the quake 2 engine, it would have sucked. That was the same engine as blood 2 the chosen used, and it is nothing like this. Then the move from a quake engine to an unreal engine is quite a jump. You map with different tools in a different way, model differently... probably started from scratch.

@BennySpazol That weapon is called the devastator, it's a huge twin barrel fast firing rocket launcher that has been around since DN3D. It is arguably the most powerful weapon in the first game, and really the only weapon to use on bosses. For all other aliens and DukeMatch in that game the shrink ray was pretty much the most powerful since it only took 1 hit to shrink, then all you would have to do is step on them and *SQUISH*. Though the RPG (which some called, "The Nuke") was good for bosses

@Aleksander304 Because, most people are sorta ignorant and they jump the gun in conclusions, Dukes' been alive and on-hold for so long FINANCIALLY and business-wise where Duke was just sitting around collecting dust or working out some more, basically, Duke was having R&R while no team was building the game. It's not like 'The team'(3DR) were sitting there twiddling their thumbs, there were legal battles everywhere and just there was no time or power to WORK on the game itself.

@Aleksander304 It's basically using the Gears of War engine in terms of total quality, it's dated in many many ways for better or for worse. Only ones who would only worry about it graphically, are graphic-whores because I've only heard great things from those who play it saying it reminds them of a game that is a missing piece of gaming history and it's satisfying as hell. The gameplay surely would be polished, only way to find out is upon launch.

Have faith in them, 3DR were perfectionists.

I've waited 12 years ago for this to come out since I first played a Duke Nukem game, DN64 for the N64...Gearbox better not fuck it up or I'm going to spend all the money I saved to buy this God-forsaken title to build a 'Microwave Expander' and pay a little visit to Take-Two Interactive and Gearbox Software and to be honest, the idea seems quite appealing to me. This Game has been in development for 13 years. If they mess this up, all of the whining and waiting and hoping will have been for nothing. If this isn't the best FPS any one will play next year, and it's just another bland game with bland gameplay and a bland plot, then renewing it meant nothing.
