"When "Hello Goodbye" became a solid hit for the Beatles and was obviously a decent song, it proved that lyrics are secondary to the singing, music, and arrangement. But then the song "Don't worry, be happy" hit number one in the 1980's, which traded on it's lyrics mostly. So it depends on the song, it seems.

If you'll pardon the expression, fantastic! Never seen this interview before, only have still shots of those marvy star glasses. Part of my early fascinating with his albums was that they printed the lyrics on the cover or sleeve. Helped me appreciate the songs so much more. Now you have those microscopic lyric sheets they might include with your CD, if you're lucky.
