The first two are the only ones I can really reconcile with the original game. Though all of them are a damn sight closer to the original game than... well, anything in the body of the game.
I think I know why the Perfect Ending is called "Perfect." Not because it's the best, but because you only get it if you finish the game 100%. At least that's how I heard you get it.
@whelanz3 I think it is the best ending, I think if you end something you make an exciting event, reunion or things of that nature and gradually take place somewhere else with slow music. Also it gives good detail on how Tidus came back and it ends the way the original X did in the beginning when Tidus was gazing upon the ruins of Zanarkand. Sometimes perfect endings are not big and amazing, sometimes they're small, simple, and heart warming. (Yes 100% completion gives you the perfect ending)

I understand what people are saying about the sad ending being the more mature one, but still...I can't help but prefer the good ending. FFX was a sad game, but Tidus and Yuna were always by eachother's side. Going on a most likely futile quest to find him again because of their love, it's just special. Sad Ending scene could be a scene in the middle of the real plot, meaning it can actually happen with all the other endings, in theory. It's probably the earliest scene.
Normal ending is a 'ending' scene where they go home, it leads to Good ending Scene.
Perfect Ending scene is connected by the good ending scene basically... So it's not separate instances of the endings, it's all combined into one.
i like the perfect ending because its romantic and funny :) but i really love the good ending because everyone (on Besaid at least) knows Tidus is back and Yuna is done her mission so she can settle down for a few years with Tidus and there also won't be any of those awkward hellos ;P
@TiainPhoenix if u got the international version u will see they added an extension to the ending. it basicly tells they live on besaid happy so there aint gonna be a 3rd. however they are gonna make a hd version of ffx.

It is Final Fantasy, that is what matters. The story was captivating, the voices the first real time we get that depth of character, and the development into more mature personalities is realistic. I am a Final Fantasy Fan ... I can have my favorites, but I will never diss the beauty that the games are.

I remember playing this game again just for the sake of getting the good ending which I think is the best one in X2. But, something weird happened to me.. The good or sad ending hould happen after the fayth asks would you like to be reunited with tidus? And you say of course yes or no. But the fayth didn´t come and automatically gave me the sad ending. After that the next 15 minutes I was silent and decided to take new game+ Well the game tricked me in that too and made it a normal new game save
as our hero yuna is confused of being in 4 places at once that hobo called tidus has finally found a box to live in until it caught fire. [1 week later] yuna has finally been caught and sent to the mental hospital while that hobo continues his journey to find that box.
Ok the first beginning bit of the good ending, where Tidus wakes up underwater and swims towards the surface, is also after the credits in FFX. So was he just supposed to always come back (and they just went ahead and disregarded it, making FFX-2 anyways) or was that foreshadowing or something? Does anyone know?
@sckp1993 Not sure, but video game creators do that sometimes. They show multiple endings but we have to figure out which one is the true ending unless they release a sequel.
I think the good ending is canon,Not just because I think its the happiest but to me it makes more sense....plus the very beginning of the good ending with Tidus coming out of the water is at the end of Final Fantasy X after the credits....so I think it has a higher chance of being the canon ending than the others.

No game ever has made me cry, not even FF7, or Crisis Core or FF12 or FF13, bu this game was truly the best.
And the good ending is better because its in a better scene and it just feels more joyous and complete. In the good ending Tidus whistles and then Yuna comes to him, then it turns into a whole reunion and you get to see wakka's baby. The Perfect ending is just Tidus telling Yuna how the Fayth gathered his thoughts and made him come back and to always cherish each other.

It is Final Fantasy, that is what matters. The story was captivating, the voices the first real time we get that depth of character, and the development into more mature personalities is realistic. I am a Final Fantasy Fan ... I can have my favorites, but I will never diss the beauty that the games are.

You would think they would say his name at one point. It'll make things awkward at the wedding. "Do you, Yuna, take this man to be your husband?" and do you,...You, take this lady to be your wife".
On the marriage certificate, signed by : Yuna and You/Him.

I remember playing this game again just for the sake of getting the good ending which I think is the best one in X2. But, something weird happened to me.. The good or sad ending hould happen after the fayth asks would you like to be reunited with tidus? And you say of course yes or no. But the fayth didn´t come and automatically gave me the sad ending. After that the next 15 minutes I was silent and decided to take new game+ Well the game tricked me in that too and made it a normal new game save

as our hero yuna is confused of being in 4 places at once that hobo called tidus has finally found a box to live in until it caught fire. [1 week later] yuna has finally been caught and sent to the mental hospital while that hobo continues his journey to find that box.

Ok the first beginning bit of the good ending, where Tidus wakes up underwater and swims towards the surface, is also after the credits in FFX. So was he just supposed to always come back (and they just went ahead and disregarded it, making FFX-2 anyways) or was that foreshadowing or something? Does anyone know?

@sckp1993 Not sure, but video game creators do that sometimes. They show multiple endings but we have to figure out which one is the true ending unless they release a sequel.

I think the good ending is canon,Not just because I think its the happiest but to me it makes more sense....plus the very beginning of the good ending with Tidus coming out of the water is at the end of Final Fantasy X after the credits....so I think it has a higher chance of being the canon ending than the others.

No game ever has made me cry, not even FF7, or Crisis Core or FF12 or FF13, bu this game was truly the best.
And the good ending is better because its in a better scene and it just feels more joyous and complete. In the good ending Tidus whistles and then Yuna comes to him, then it turns into a whole reunion and you get to see wakka's baby. The Perfect ending is just Tidus telling Yuna how the Fayth gathered his thoughts and made him come back and to always cherish each other.

the endings are so short :/ but how come to the endings? just playing more ffx-2 and finishing more missions or discovering more hiding places or else? i've never played ffx-2 but i gonna paly it because i am curious ^^ will you find out whether tidus will come back and how he comes back or is it unknown how he comes back and just by fishing ffx-2 completely or just partly?

um guys, pardon me as am one of those guys who loved ffx and gave ffx-2 right from the get-go, but how is tidus back? didnt he go to the farplane or somethin at the end of ffx? if they could bring him back, they might as well brought jecht and everyone else in farplane back. so yea, how is he back?

I think I like the sad ending the best because it fit the story better than the other endings. Normal ending claims she is still looking for Tidus, believing that he is still alive. LAME! The good and perfect ending is cute and happy which I usually love but its extremely cliche. Also, isn't final fantasy known for its "happy endings in a sad way?"
