@teloyquude Everything kills everything. You've just stepped into this world at a time where we buy our food wrapped in plastic. We work to buy food, and fishing is just a way to bring home food by doing the work yourself, instead of paying someone else to do it for you. If you didn't kill something and eat it, you would starve to death obviously, so you can feel bad if you want, but you have to eat.
@JoelTGM Haven't you heard of vegitarianism? You seem to be a reasonably intelligent person so I'm confused as to how you could not see such a huge hole in your reasoning.
@teloyquude I said you always have to kill something to eat it, and you have to kill plants. It's just that plants don't have eyes that look up at you, but they are still living. As humans we have our own sense of what we are comfortable with killing, like bugs or little things that don't have human qualities, but when it's a larger creature or something with it's own little brain, we look down at them and think they are cute. Some of us feel more attached to these creatures than others.

The amount of pain a fish feels when I catch one isn't enough to stop me from doing it. If I was supposed to kill the fish by taking sandpaper and sanding down to it's brain, or burning a hole in it's head with a magnifying glass, I wouldn't do it, but hitting it once on the head is a quick enough process that I don't feel cruel.I respect the fish and never waste it.
