  • This is a very good analysis. I think Seve's back problem's and swing problems that you describe were caused by the fact that Seve did not straighten his right leg in the back-swing and then retain that pressure on the ground which this movement generates.

  • I was hoping you would do a swing analysis if Seve - my all time favourite player, funny that you have identified a fault in his swing, which is plain to see - yet in his prime he hit shots that most players could only dream of...

    He said in an interview that he had hundreds of swings depending on the shot and I think the real magic laid in his hands, he was by far the most gifted player to have picked up a club, maybe not technically but his swing, tempo and style was beautiful to watch

  • Seve always suffered with back pain, but it got so bad in the late 80/early 90's he changed his swing... he was never the same again. RIP Seve, a one of a kind, complete legend.
