  • I absolutely hate this holiday, it is the stench of devils and the tradition of men. I celebrate life- Jesus Christ (Yeshua the Messiah).

  • Great vid :) Matthew 5:17-20 Celebrate the Torah of Yeshua :)

  • I always understood that a body plus a spirit equals a soul. So technically, a spirit and a soul mean specific things.

  • Interesting that this guest speaker says that the Atzecs came from somewhere in the middle east. That statement agrees with the Book of Mormon.

  • The moment he said "Welsh Gaelic" I face palmed. These people ought to be concerned with really dangerous matters such as famine, poverty and social exclusion. Instead of Halloween that is about as harmless as it gets

  • Are you saying that Satan and evil are not "really dangerous matters"? I would say that the introduction of evil into the lives of little children is a dangerous matter.

  • @queenjaime it's Satan's GREATEST TRICK.

  • Festivals of the dead are important in many cultures - as demonstrated in Mexico and East Asian countries. Most of these festivals are ironic in portraying death as a cartoon figure and therefore succeed in a kind of communal exorcism of fears which is entirely for the good. The new Christian groups by contrast seek to make us afraid of our own shadows.

  • Precisely. The "Obon" festival in Japan comes to mind as an occasion to pay homage to those who have departed. Actually, in my own country, Portugal, November the 1st is dedicated to remembering and honoring the dead.

  • i guess paul was wrong when he said to be absent from the body is to be present w/ the Lord. Jesus told the thief that he would be in Paradise that day. stay away from these people.

  • You're only reading partially into it. Paradise is in reference to resurrection into God's Kingdom, and Paul's referrence meant that we were present it the Book of Life after the death of the body... don't put limitations on God's power :)

  • You are fools to say that someone goes to hell if they don't study the way you do, who knows you may go to hell, you know why, because maybe your wrong. You don't know what god said, Nobody does.

  • Did you even listen? They don't believe in someone "going to hell". They believe in the resurrection of ALL mankind... not afterlife immediately after death.

  • look, I am pagan and yes, I believe in the mother goddess, yes, I believe in god, yes, I believe in the lord. This is a load of bull crap. I am 14. I am a pagan but just because i have another way of belief, so to you just because I am not a full christian. I still go to church. In fact I study the bible, I am actually going to a Methodist church... I am the a member of the church, and the priest knows that i am christian and pagan, he accepts that.

  • And that's exactly the issue. Methodist belief root in Catholicism which in turn combined the Pagan Goddess religions in with Christian faith... so in historic context, it certainly makes sense that your priest accepts that you bastardize Christianity with Pagan principles.

  • Two.Because of the lengthening nights due towards winter, the resident people feared that if they left their homes, they would encounter spooks. You know, GHOSTS! They wore masks and costumes so that these spirits wouldnt recognize them as living humans. They originally put the food out so that the ghosts wouldnt have reason to enter their homes.

  • One.Halloweens tradition of trick-o-treating dates all the way back to the early days since the conversion to Christianity. Instead of putting food and wine outside on the porch for wandering spirits, the church encouraged the residents to give food out for the poor on All Souls Day. In return for receiving this charity, the luckless persons promised to pray for the generous familys departed relatives. So TRICK-O-TREATING is actually quite Christian.

  • to think that grown men could be so small minded and paranoid. it is sooooo sad.

  • what a load of bullshit... these idiots arent even christians! HA!

  • Well that was a load in delusional nonsense. Halloween is just good clean fun. I hope it gets filthier though.

And my, it was such a balanced "report". Nice set, but ti's still a load o' crap.

  • Samhain means summers end, it's not a god. Trick or treating didn't start as a threat, it started when poor people had no food and so they'd beg from door to door during the harvest time.
