The point of this video wasn't to insight rage towards any person for their views on politics, the war, anything like that. The point the video stands for is respect. Respect those that have fallen in battle that couldn't be recognized. Ask yourself this question, "How would I feel if someone laughed at my family members funeral or tomb?" You do realize that more than 10% of the US population answered the call during WW2 but now when the enemy actually strikes in the mainland less than 1% serve. It should be mandatory for a US citizen to at least go through basic or be in reserve. Are freedom is never paid off.

I graduated high school in 2009. I have deployed to iraq once and most recent to Afghanistan. In my company there are about 180 other people that were there with me. Most of them are in their 20s. I grew up just outside of Washington DC and my father took me to the Marine barracks at 8th & I Streets to see the Silent Drill Platoon on parade. One of my relatives served in the State Department under Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, and I once had President's Box seats for a show at the Kennedy Center Opera House. I damn well learned how to act dignified in public, around dignitaries and *all* military personnel, whether enlisted men or officers. Not all of us are ignorant buffoons, thanks.

@1EVLBRD350 The reason a fallen soldier, Marine, sailor, or Airmen, is put into the tomb is because he is one of those that were unidentifiable by DNA and whatnot. Hence the name... It is a huge honor and not only are they "guarding" a military personnel from each war, i think it was WW1, WW2, and the Vietnam War, it represents all those others that we lost in all the wars, the ones that are still MIA, the ones we are still trying to identify. Also, the tomb guards are some of the most well respected soliders in the world. They take great pride in what they do, standing guard 24/7, 365 days of the year...no matter what. They even stood guard when hurricane irene passed right through there, even though they were given the opportunity to leave their post. That itself garners a little respect.

So you might say the opposite of what you said is true (though both constatations make very little sense). In addition, a lot of Americans died for american interests which have nothing to do with freedom. The guard's intentions may be pure, but the truth is different. In either case, guarding a tomb during a natural disaster is irrational.

I've seen the ceremony for the changing of the guard. While it's not much special, it's very awe-striking at the same time. And, during said cermony, people need to shut their damn mouths.
It's typically the dumbass, slacker Americans who have suffered a HUGE crisis like the wireless internet service going down at Starbuck's who laugh and talk while this ceremony takes place. The foreigners are very quiet and respectful.

If you had ever been to the tomb and witnessed the changing of the guard, you would know that during the changing ceremony the public is told to remain SILENT and Standing. There are also signs at the entrance to the Cemetery telling you this is out countries most Hallowed and Sacred ground and proper respect is to be shown at all times. Not only was the guard proper in what he did, he is charged by duty to do so. That is all.

I grew up just outside of Washington DC and my father took me to the Marine barracks at 8th & I Streets to see the Silent Drill Platoon on parade. One of my relatives served in the State Department under Ronald Reagan in the 1980s, and I once had President's Box seats for a show at the Kennedy Center Opera House. I damn well learned how to act dignified in public, around dignitaries and *all* military personnel, whether enlisted men or officers. Not all of us are ignorant buffoons, thanks.

@1EVLBRD350 The reason a fallen soldier, Marine, sailor, or Airmen, is put into the tomb is because he is one of those that were unidentifiable by DNA and whatnot. Hence the name... It is a huge honor and not only are they "guarding" a military personnel from each war, i think it was WW1, WW2, and the Vietnam War, it represents all those others that we lost in all the wars, the ones that are still MIA, the ones we are still trying to identify. Also, the tomb guards are some of the most well respected soliders in the world. They take great pride in what they do, standing guard 24/7, 365 days of the year...no matter what. They even stood guard when hurricane irene passed right through there, even though they were given the opportunity to leave their post. That itself garners a little respect.

In addition, a lot of Americans died for american interests which have nothing to do with freedom. The guard's intentions may be pure, but the truth is different. In either case, guarding a tomb during a natural disaster is irrational.

If you had ever been to the tomb and witnessed the changing of the guard, you would know that during the changing ceremony the public is told to remain SILENT and Standing. There are also signs at the entrance to the Cemetery telling you this is out countries most Hallowed and Sacred ground and proper respect is to be shown at all times. Not only was the guard proper in what he did, he is charged by duty to do so. That is all.
