Don't flame me just my opinion but to me this beautiful unit would look that much better if the stationary headlight was in the top casting and the Mars light was in the lower.
Actually I've been into trains all my life. You're absolutely correct about Mars lights in the upper casing. But to me by putting the stationary headlight in the lower casing it totally changes the appearance on the unit. But hypothetically, if you put the Mars light in the lower casing it would maintain a similarity to those units with just the upper casing. I hope I made this clear.......:>/
I have just seen a ghost, acording to books in the UK that beautifull loco doesn't exist, all were swapped in for newer units. I am so glad the books are wrong.
whats the need to have a classic Wabco E2 horn and a twin note horn on that engine? Andy Bowe and if that engine had ATS for use on the Santa Fe then you could really show what the engine and train could do, Andy Bowe
what kind of horn is that?

You must be new to passenger units. I've always seen the mars light in the upper casing. EMD's, Alco's both had them like that.

Nice to know she is safe. None of our diesels in the UK come close, to the gracefull lines of the PA's F's and the early E's.
