can you send me the part numbers for the hypercharger, jetting kit, and pipe's......that was the best and meanest sounding vulcan I have ever heard. I want to do the same to mine. What did you do to dummy the air filter on the other side?
@megapurt Don't have numbers. The pipes are Cobra Longshots, The Kuryakyn Hypercharger is the same for all bikes. The jet kit, call the dealer. You may have to experiment with the jet kit, I did. My bike is carbureted not fuel injected.

@fasteddie841 Metal rod bent in the general shape of the bag keeping them off the fender and tire. Very basic. Then simple zip ties are holding them to the metal rod frame.
Great sound. I noticed your bags on your 1500. What kind are they and are they quick release. I'm having a tough time finding bags that will fit my classic without rubbing everything? Tks, Eddie
@fasteddie841 Hi - The bags came with the bike when I purchased it used. I am not sure what brand. They are basic cheapy bags and they are attached with black zip ties. They function quite well.
Hi ibeme152 - I purchased the bike used and the shield came with it. it does not a have any markings. Sorry. I do know I would like something a bit larger though.
Dude!! Killer sound. I have an 02 Vulca 1500 with hard bags, deep purple with gold pin stripes. I have cobra slash pipes. Question, what does the hyper charger do and should I invest in having one installed.
The hypercharger puts more air through the engine allowing more fuel to be burned. My bike is carbureted which is better for the hypercharger but will work for fuel injection also. Just make sure you adjust fuel flow if you add the hypercharger.
We also have a 1500 Vulcan and man, she gives us so much joy! Personally, (tramping on toes here, sorry)I believe the Vulcan is the bike that the Harley wants to be! We have 12inch Cobra shotgun pipes and man, those horses! Enjoy! Life begins at 40!!!
I have always had Harleys,Matchless,Triumphs, and Nortons. NOW, I have a 1952 Cushman Barrelspring Eagle Scooter heh heh.(and an '84 Vette.)They ALL have dripped oil & required work lol.Your Vulcan is nice man.
I have a 96 vulcan, got the hypercharger+vance and hines exhaust. I ride with a bunch of harley riders ,and they always comment on the sound of my bike,(sounds more like a harley than mine),keep that shiny side up.
Thanks, These changes really wake up the Vulcan. Set off some car alarms yesterday, that is how you know the pipes are loud enough. Sorry about the crappy video used a Sony digital still camera that has a limited movie feature.
hey where does the vaccume line come from to activate the hyper charger bought used vulcan and its not hooked up so the butterflys are always open.

airborne,
Thanks for the response about your bags. What kind of bag supports are under the bags? I'm trying to find supports that will work correctly.
Tks, fasteddie

Your bike sounds SOOOOO good. Good work man. How much did the cobra exhaust, HC, etc cost you?
EhricM 3 years ago
Thanks. In the box they were $795.00 plus I had to re-jet the carbs.
airborne373 3 years ago
hey, that's not too shabby considering what you get for that amount. :)

The Vulcan is a great bike. Hard to beat for the money and man can you really make them growl. I get alot of good feedback about the sound also.
airborne373 4 years ago
They will also last longer than any harley\buell. Harleys are good for 10,000 miles, except for older ones.
