@jtdamn Its the camera lens. You know the thing where your eyes adjust to the dark by changing your iris size? camera lenses do the same thing. When the huge explosion occured, you have some extreme contrast goin on. You could either have it all white, since the camera is adjusted to the normal brightness before the explosion, or you can edit it to put the background into a darker shade so you can actually see something other than a huge white blur.

Auto apature of the camera. Camera closes the apature to compensate for the extreme amount of light the explosion.

Shine a flashlight at your digital camera at home, and it will do the same thing. You can physically see it inside closing and opening.

The chemicle that is burning here is most likely ammonium perchlorate. Not a greenhouse gas.
