Wow, this song sounds great! She has got a sweet and powerful voice. Slowly i am goimg to forget Lisa as well...because they found a worthy replacement for her. I am really looking forward to the album. Although there was a long time between the last 2 Albums and the singer changed, the band seems to hold on to their old style.

@Dincamite I disagree, you don't hear Nightwish on the radio and the heart and soul is Tuomas' lyrics and compositions, they haven't changed. Ultimately the singer is always expendable, and I say that as an Anette fan. I think people give singers way too much credit, vocals don't change the genre, mezzo =/= pop and opera =/= metal. Nightwish have more success and better reviews but they're a band so it's a team effort really, and I hope Xandria enjoy more success too, their sound is still there.

@Dincamite I disagree, you don't hear Nightwish on the radio and the heart and soul is Tuomas' lyrics and compositions, they haven't changed. Ultimately the singer is always expendable, and I say that as an Anette fan. I think people give singers way too much credit, vocals don't change the genre, mezzo =/= pop and opera =/= metal. Nightwish have more success and better reviews but they're a band so it's a team effort really, and I hope Xandria enjoy more success too, their sound is still there.

@DrakeWolfKnight Tarja is not the only classical and good singer in the fucking world, hey even Manuela has more talant than Tarja and can actually use her normal voice without sounding like she is singing for her life, it comes naturally, and Tarja were not so good on the old songs, Wish I had an Angel....phhh sounds like she is singing with water in her mouth...Tarja has btw a different audience than Nightwish, 3000 in a concert in LA is HUGE, Tarja had like 1000 in NY...

The "wannabe vocals" from old NW are sang by someone who sings opera since her teens.. and yet they are not at all opera. It's metal sang with classical technique.
BTW: "old NW" fans are reaching 30-35 years. Maybe their children are "14 years old gothic-wannabe chicks" :)

You are a a bit hot headed. The people you are exchanging flames did not say Xandria is bad, in fact they said the opposite.
Having a degree in singing and singing pro or semi-pro does not mean that much. Thousands do the same every year worldwide, as a hobby.
Czech opera diva Eva Urbanova criticised Tarja. She covered some NW songs lamentably.. then Tarja sang her trademark (Rusalka) and put her to shame. This, to illustrate how much "pro" opinions count.

Read again what I wrote - from all of those, Tarja is the only one singing at the opera - YET, she does not sing operatic in metal. She sings metal with classical technique.

First of all, take the heavy symphonic part and and you have an India's album song....this COULDN'T be more Xandria. Second, it is better and heavier than most stuff old Nightwish did. Yes, it´s not an existing band Xandria´s sound today seems to be similar to, but a band that doesn´t exist anymore for a long time already - NW with Tarja... so stop complaining and enjoy the idea that there might be a "new" band now that plays a music which we thought would be lost forever! For me that´t great, cause I loved NW with Tarja and Xandria has been to lame for me in the past!

This sounds unike anything Xandria has ever produced, there has been many twists where female singers have left/been fired over the past years in this genre, but heck, Manuela was the best thing that could happen to Xandria!
if the rest of the album is sounding this great I am positive they'll reach the peak of their career :)
