For what you get, $1.5m seems like a deal. That's a condo in NYC, or 5 bedrooms in a nice suburb. I'll take a missile silo over those! Cleaning it up and making it livable would probably be multiple times the purchase price though. Then there's that whole "living in the middle of nowhere" thing... forever alone.

The water in the silos were from rain fall and a rising water table. Out of all of the Atlas F missle bases ( there were 72 total) only 3 were above the water table. The one I've been to that is being developed had water in it but only 60' of water not 100'.
