In fact it is, but the thing with Al when working without coolant it forms a "built up edge" pretty quickly, it sticks to the tools edge, besides that it gets claylike and blocks the way up along the shaft, increasing friction force...

Even in the lowest job education for professions in the metalworking industry they teach you basic knowledge. I.e. that steel is an alloy consistent of iron and 0.06-2.06% carbon. Actually it already starts with 0.01% C, but virtually not in use, at least i haven't seen any lower than 0.06.

Oh yea? Where is it? There is a vast number GZ-footage but we haven't seen any of this seemingly liquefied steel. There is not a single image showing and not one eyewitness account reporting about molten beams. If there would've been a lot of it the clean up crews would know a word or two to say about it, because the heat emitted by molten steel is so intense that it'd have hindered them massively doing their work.

They all specifically state that the steel was weakend by the fire untill it could no longer support the building. And yet truthers seem to all think they say it melted the steel. It is a mixture of aluminium and titanium. The titanium is what gives it strength and the aluminium is what gives it it's light weight. This alloy is just about as strong as steel but considerably lighter and far more expensive aswell. If it was not for the high cost it would be used in archetecture instead of steel.
In all fairness and in the matter of objectivity, this has to be corrected. It is true AL-alloys used for plane construction are by far stronger than pure AL and also got a higher tensile strength than what is used for "beer cans", but there are no Al Ti alloys in use... not yet. The strenght of some AL alloys compared to usual construction steel is pretty much on the same level. Keyword: Duraluminium.

It didn't have to melt steel. My Machinery's Handbook, 18th ed, pg 432, shows that structural steel heated to 11000 deg retains only 28% of its original strength. Given that the strength had been rougly halved for every 200 deg of rise prior to that, by the time the temperature got near 1800 deg, those columns retained little of their design strength.

I'm on the other hand do have not just theoretical knowledge, but also practical experience in milling, turning, conventional, NC and CNC, with/without coolant, with many different sorts of material (plastics, brass, CU, AL, varieties of steel; from usual non alloyed construction steel to high alloyed steel (V2A, V4A), Ti-alloy, AL-alloys, Hastelloy (alloy based on NiMo). Thus i do know something about physical and mechanical properties first hand.

Yea, you prbly would. See, when drilling Al or Cu you'd think about it as a weak and soft metal in relation to steel. In fact it is, but the thing with Al when working without coolant it forms a "built up edge" pretty quickly, it sticks to the tools edge, besides that it gets claylike and blocks the way up along the shaft, increasing friction force...

Even in the lowest job education for professions in the metalworking industry they teach you basic knowledge. I.e. that steel is an alloy consistent of iron and 0.06-2.06% carbon. Actually it already starts with 0.01% C, but virtually not in use, at least i haven't seen any lower than 0.06.

Because it was NOT steel. Temperatures at ground zero NEVER exceeded 1800 degrees, no where near the 2800 degree temperature necessary to melt steel.

Oh yea? Where is it? There is a vast number GZ-footage but we haven't seen any of this seemingly liquefied steel. There is not a single image showing and not one eyewitness account reporting about molten beams. If there would've been a lot of it the clean up crews would know a word or two to say about it, because the heat emitted by molten steel is so intense that it'd have hindered them massively doing their work.

It is a mixture of aluminium and titanium. The titanium is what gives it strength and the aluminium is what gives it it's light weight. This alloy is just about as strong as steel but considerably lighter and far more expensive aswell. If it was not for the high cost it would be used in archetecture instead of steel.

In all fairness and in the matter of objectivity, this has to be corrected. It is true AL-alloys used for plane construction are by far stronger than pure AL and also got a higher tensile strength than what is used for "beer cans", but there are no Al Ti alloys in use... not yet. The strenght of some AL alloys compared to usual construction steel is pretty much on the same level. Keyword: Duraluminium.

An alloy is a mixture or metallic solid solution composed of two or more elements- but because every aerospace aluminium contains large amounts of aluminium IT IS CALLED ALUMINIUM. It is not called magnesium, not a Copper or Titanium witch is btw maximum 0.15% of SOME aluminium alloys. Yeah only SOME of aerospace aluminium alloys contains titianium- but every contain ALUMINIUM. It didn't have to melt steel. My Machinery's Handbook, 18th ed, pg 432, shows that structural steel heated to 11000 deg retains only 28% of its original strength. Given that the strength had been rougly halved for every 200 deg of rise prior to that, by the time the temperature got near 1800 deg, those columns retained little of their design strength.

I feel sorry because they probably were or did overtake the hijackers and would have survived to tell a different tale. A tale that would have shown more government involvement.
