I love Carrie Manolakos' voice. Her sister was my tenth grade algebra sister, I met her and their brother who works on Wall street. All three are amazing people!! Carrie should definitely be on Glee!!! Should would do amazingly!! Love ya, Carrie!!!!!

I saw Wicked in Dayton, OH and got the pleasure of having Carrie as Elphaba as well. I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED her!! Her voiced moved me and I actually cried. My mom and daughter went with me and it was the first time either had been to a show of this magnitude. They loved it!!!!! Carrie's voice is the best.
Who's playing Glinda? I just saw her yesterday with Helene Yorke as Glinda. They are an absolutely amazing duo. And from 3:17 on...just amazing. That's all I can say. It was my first time seeing Wicked and that will stay in my memory forever. It was breathtaking. The video doesn't do it justice. Same with her voice. It just isn't the same.

It was my first time ever watching a play, and I must admit that when I saw we were getting the standby for the main character I was a bit dissapointed... but I cannot comprehend how the regular Elphaba can be better than Carrie? All the cast performance was so flawless that night in my opinion, wish I could have thanked them personally for making my first theatre experience so unforgettable... Carrie and Helene if you read these posts, THANK YOU!!!

I just keep replaying it over and over in my head...It's like I'm there all over again. But it isn't even as amazing in my head as it was live. But it's the closest thing I have.

wow i always thought that she sounded like a Victoria that knew how to use her voice, i love Victoria, buuut there places where she sounds really shrill, Carrie has all the sound of Victoria that i love without sounding untrained!!!!! LOVE HER!!!!!
I JUST SEEN HER TONIGHT IN PHILLY!!!! she was amazing i was soo happy to see her even though i wanted to see marcie.....her look to the western sky sounds amazing now she does the riff better now and i cnt belive she is only a standby
i think carrie is great the only thing i dislike about her is the way she says sky like the riff she does sound weird but other than that she is preety good
My opinion is that all the Elphabas being cast have voices that are WAY too immature and squeaky on the top notes. They're all very talented, but the tone that directors/producers seem to be looking for and casting is...not how I picture Elphaba. She's supposed to be full of inner power, not sound like she's afraid of flying. Such as SJB, Shoshana, etc.
It's really rare to see a video with the full lift without the camera trying to autofocus the entire time. Carrie is a strong standby and I think she should replace for Marcie...but hopefully thats not for a long looooong time :)
