@pritamxm Geki Ryu (Drama Dragon) is my warrior Name given to me after my 5th Dan Test where I had to avoid a Samurai sword to the back of my head.by the 34th grandmaster of Togakure ryu ninjutsu! and Dojo means school "Drama Dragon school" Gekiryu dojo. so it is a good name when you know what it means!
I just wanted to tell you how much I enjoy all your videos! I'm learning some new things, as well as getting some clarity on techniques I already knew. Thank you for such a great series...please keep them coming.
And here's to Ross, the most patient, resilient, good-natured 'attacker' I think I've ever seen, lol! He's great; what a good sport. :)
@bikizuzu he is a lovely Guy who looks after his little boy and his disabled Wife. he has his own business fitting boilers in houses. I Love the Guy he is such a great person
Why would you want him to execute the technique at full speed ? To test how proficient he is ? What for ? They give you a basic idea of a useful technique to practice and it`s up to you whether or not you`re going to do that. Trying to undermine someone`s credibility is not the way to you improve your own fighting skills ( i mean, if that`s the way why you came here ). Sure, there are better and worse ideas, but it`s up to one`s logic to sift through them and pick those useful ones.
@zzcoolfun This is to show you how it is broken down, not to show it in actual action. I'm sure the receiver of the blow doesn't want to have a bruise for your entertainment. If you want it in full speed, pony up and spar with someone trained in these techniques.
dont throw a right hook in a fight unless your left handed and dont throw a left hook unless your right handed keep your arms tucked in and punch strait
@TheLilPimp112 Depends on how the fights going actually. A more successful hook if you're an orthodox fighter would be the left hook anyways which in turn, in a fist fight would lead to a harder right hook being thrown as a second punch. That second right hook lands, KO.
@RandomLevitation its bad to throw a hook with your stronger hand it is alot less covered near the chin when you throw that hook and if someone gets lucky and just throws a strait to your chin your going down. also its not always stronger than the other hand most people that are right handed throw a harder left hook then they do a right hand
Well there is this Guy, and I need to learn how to take him down.. Yes yes I know that's horrible or violent for me to say such a thing but he is not right.. He picks on the weak just to raise his charisma I'm not scared of him I just feel like if he messes with me I would know what to do..Instead of just being a by stander or walking away because I want him to learn... Anyways, the moral of the story is I don't like him.but I don't hate him even though he sickens me, I just need to know..Tips.?
@left4hearts A tip my friend, I have been doing martial arts for years, I have practised pressure points/vital points for years, in a pressure situation you act on muscle memory and instinct, raeding this comment will not make you able to defend yourself, but years of training will. not trying to be mean, but the last thing you want is to try techniques without proper training.
"I guess Kungfu isn't useless" haha, people seriously need to think, you don't need to do a finger jab to a pressure point, boxers does it all the time, using punches.
You learn as many places to hit someone as possible. After figuring out alot no matter the soze of the opponent you adjust spots to hit to suit the size of the person. Not blindly hit a spot on a fat guy that is covered in 4 inches of fat.So the best thing to do is learn as many as possible and practice religiously on someone so you get muscle memory for it,both yours and theirs. Also let them hit you so you know what places hurt the most.Even hitting yourself will build muscle memory.
@rodeanlovemom - These moves are quite effective to facilitate a breakdown of the torso while engaging other areas... Fighting is fighting... The only predictable thing is You... these moves are quite deceptive and in collaboration with whatever your artform is... By Chaining them together with other moves You can do quite a bit of damage. Also footwork and the knowledge of angles... @gekiryudo - You did a Wonderful Job... Thank You...
@rodeanlovemom not really adrenalin may give muscles extra streangth and make u feel less pain but pressure points attact your nervous system not the out side of your body. its like switching the power off
@rodeanlovemom they say that about punches too, but i've seen kids get rocked with some baby hits and go down.. a good hit is a good hit, doesn't matter where u hit em, they're gonna feel it n they'll think twice about shit.. just like if a dude hit me in my balls or my atoms apple, i'm gonna feel that shit then and there no matter how much adrenaline i got lol
@rodeanlovemom tell that to a number of UFC fighters...because a number of times they get hit in certain points and they just quick the fight do to so much pain!! adrenalin is a very powerful tool in a fight but its better to hit these points...or your theroy is you dont feel anything during fight there for it does not matter if you get hit....who taught you this Rocky Balboa?
@gekiryudojo About that second point under the chest. My opinion is that the solar plexus is better target for straight punches than that one, because there is more pain and also great loss of breath.
@gekiryudojo I don't think you understood me. I was talking about what is a better target for straight punches, not which punches are better for solar plexus. So what is the better target for straight punches, solar plexus or the second point in this video (under the chest)?
Aside from that, the thing about straight punches is that they can be performed with high speed (repetition rate) around 8 punches per second, so the body doesn't have any time to recover in between them.
@gekiryudojo Hello, I thought I could translate for you what Kais tried to say.
"Hello, my English isn't very good, but I would like to thank you for sharing this video. In the beginning I thought they (the videos) would not work if I didn't have any practice, but everything worked out just fine. A while ago some thugs tried to jump me, but a little hit to their necks was more than enough to knock them out. Both my aggressors left me alone. Thanks for the video".
The best fighting system is the knowledge of the human anantomy. (idk if thats spelled right but i think yous understand me) doctors would make the best fighters since they know exactly how the body would react to things. Ninjas and other martial artists are sorta like doctors they know what to hit or cut to take out an opponent but they dont know always how to fix it haha
wow! I tried doing it on a friend of mine, just to train, really works! And... I did not force, I madelightly, he was sore for a while, I did not know I could do that with just a slap!
@disturbed157 I lost everything in 2009 I lost all my Martial ability's and even how to walk because of my MS I lost my memory's and all my strength, and spent a year on my back.
That is when I Found my true strength! and I fought back to get it all back, and I did! and was rewarded with a beautiful Wife who also Fights MS, I am Happy
@gekiryudojo im saving everyone of your videos there awesome. but could you make a video where ross is actually squaring up like someone who knows how to fight throwing good jabs (nothing against ross and not saying he doesnt know how,). cuz i know most people who dont know how to fight usually fight like that throwing wide swings. but id like to see the technique done against good form.
@keepyupy1 Ross was fine he volunteered so that you would learn, He did not feel sorry for himself so he does not appreciate you feeling that for him he is a martial artist
Hey Trevor, I think Ross has really got what it takes to be a student...! :) And the information provided here is 110% accurate and flawless. I have tried it on myself (but rather lightly- simple low intensity taps and they really hurt). Good Work by the way... I learned a lot.
does doing sit ups help or can the solar not be strengthened? im a boxer i got hit there it didnt feel to good. i do 100 to 200 sit ups a day. great videos really helped me in boxing!!!!!!!
I know i shouldn't take pleasure in it, but there are some lovely reactions to even the slightest slaps. Id love to suplement my kyokushin with pressure points, although i shouldn't use kyokushins full out force style on pressure points. That would be too dangerous.
the pain is not fake I can assure you ! ross is a fit 28 year old and I'm 49 these points are very sensitive and people react in very different ways to pain, a boxer may laugh at these hits because he is used to being hit, Ross who had not been hit as much as a professional boxer is like a normal guy on the street and so would be more susceptible.
Wouldn't this still hurt a boxer? Considering they spar with 16 oz gloves, and when your hitting him on the pressure point your using your nuckles or the thumb or so on
when is that nigga gonna stop complaining?!!..

finally some proper videos on the subject. Love the animations as well that actually show the ranges you can impact the PP's.

I know i shouldn't take pleasure in it, but there are some lovely reactions to even the slightest slaps. Id love to suplement my kyokushin with pressure points, although i shouldn't use kyokushins full out force style on pressure points. That would be too dangerous.

great video but i would cut down on the fake pain.
Myke626 2 years ago
the pain is not fake I can assure you ! ross is a fit 28 year old and I'm 49 these points are very sensitive and people react in very different ways to pain, a boxer may laugh at these hits because he is used to being hit, Ross who had not been hit as much as a professional boxer is like a normal guy on the street and so would be more susceptible.

@gekiryudojo
Wouldn't this still hurt a boxer? Considering they spar with 16 oz gloves, and when your hitting him on the pressure point your using your nuckles or the thumb or so on
DeAdDrEaMs69 2 years ago
yes it will hurt a boxer I am using the knuckles
