They spend their time tracking down and maliciously attacking all who have doubts about climate change and painting them as corporate pawns.
There has been no mention on the blog, nor on The Fifth Estate, of James Hoggan's client list. They include or have included the National Hydrogen Association, Fuel Cells Canada, hydrogen producer QuestAir, Naikun Wind Energy and Ballard Fuel Cells. Mr. Hoggan, in other words, benefits from regulatory policy based on climate change science.
Maybe the science we have known about for a little over a hundred years of how carbon dioxide acts as a greenhouse gas and when released into the atmosphere heats the planet?
All gases act as greenhouse gas. CO2 as been vilified by ignorance of this Gas. The warming properties of CO2 is very tiny and also very inefficient as a warming gas.If Science would have been used instead of Emotions? the scary CO2 scenario would have never got off the ground.
The first Molecule of CO2 is the one who absorbs the most heat or IR if you prefer.
The Second Molecule absorb 50% less then first and the third 50% less then the second and so on. It is a descending order not ascending. So it can not cause a rise in temperature. The temperature as not risen since 1998 and even drop by -0.7C while CO2 as increase. Beside I see the spammers are at work and like locusts will kill this conversation.
That's one I haven't heard before. If for every single molecule it absorbs 50% less, wouldn't that imply that a molecule in the atmosphere, say somewhere above Africa, somehow would need to know that there is already another molecule up in the atmosphere somewhere, say over the Pacific? Or how would it know it needs to absorb less? Sounds magical to me..
No it makes it an Inefficient GHG. Not a Major but a minor effect. " Sounds magical to me.." Funny! I will go and look for that report and pass it on.

You might be interested in knowing that the Dr. Stephen Schwartz who Motl qoute for his 1.1K degree climate sensitivity has revised his estimate; it's now 1.9±1K which (while still low) is much closer to IPCC estimates.

No, not all gases. There are others than CO2 though, water vapour being the most important one, several times more important than CO2.
However, water vapour only stays a few days in the atmosphere, and rather than being emitted by us the amount of it _depends_ on the temperature.
When we emit more CO2 and increase the temperature water vapour goes up too, increasing temperature further.

Actually, a minute ago you were saying all gases are greenhouse gases. Now you're saying it's impossible for CO2 to act as a greenhouse gas?
If global warming has ended then why'd all the ice melt the last couple years?
