@Nytheron Do overs and second chances was incredible. On par with this album for sure. What you should be moaning about is Luck Street only Singing with the king was a worthy Go Radio song.
I don't like how Jason made go radio but I would have done the same thing because mayday parade didn't even say he was officially in the band and didn't even put him in music videos they didn't have him in the band except when they wer playing which is a shit thing to do and it makes me sad because mayday parade was better than anything else
@ilovemusicandguitar1 stop talking shit you dont know about. they didnt put him in any videos because he left the band before their videos were even made, that's why they have to have people miming his parts which is really pathetic. derek even mimes daniel lancaster's part (jasons brother) on the last part of jamie all over.

I saw them when I went to a Mayday concert & I was so preoccupied with Mayday being on soon that I didn't pay attention to the amazingness that is Go Radio. After the show, I listened to them & it turns out, I like Go Radio better. (: I have both EPs & the LP plus a shirt. :DD
i think everyone one should stop going on about jason, ya he is a sick dude a great sing and a fantasic song writing but, he isnt the only who put work in go radio's songs, there are other people in the band, respect that and talk more about them too jeezus XD

@w0ahitsjenna yea jason's not in mayday anymore. idk how true it is i haven't done much research on it but apparently derek was taking alot of credit for things he shouldn't have been taking credit for and jason got pissed and long story short he left. but i heard everything got cleared up and go radio is actually going on tour with mayday soon so i'm hoping that means mayday is gonna play old songs and maybe there's a chance that maybe old mayday will get back together :)
Lol You know. Sure they are two different bands. Doesn't mean we can't awknowledge the fact that jason was in mayday parade. The only reason he's known is because of mayday parade obviously. Thats why people keep bring them up. I think this band is great, but the comparison between mayday parade and go radio is that in mayday parade, at least both lead singers balanced each other out. Jasons a great singer now, but they all have to start somewhere. >_>;
This band is Good.. I admit it... Good melodies.. but the instruments are still so basic.. BOYSLIKEGIRLS, PARACHUTE, WE THE KINGS, MAYDAY PARADE, although mayday and this have same vocals, 4 me sounds the same... sometimes people do tend to seek some new types of progression of music with a good melody... some has good progression yet sucks in melodies.. takes this as a challenge guys... take your music to a different level maintaining your melodies.. im sure you guys will ROCK the world..eheh
This is very depressing i've recently been to a concert where go radio was and i was just at a mayday parade one a month ago... its really sad that mayday parades concert kicked butt and go radio sucked balls it was so boring and had no energy what so ever... its depressing to see jason go from MP to this....

@golfomania7 Yea I agree it doesn't fit with the other bands. I love ADTR and really like enter shikari. I'm middle of the road on ABR and silverstein, mainly because I haven't listened to either of them alot. From what little I have heard of ABR I like it the vocals aren't my cup of tea but the instruments are played so well it makes up for it.
@Clawdeeya he left because he wasnt appreciated in the band and because he wrote most of the songs on the cd a lesson in romantics and didnt get credit for it the other band members just wrote him off and didnt really acknowledge him. ive seen mayday without him and it is just not the same.
@The3STaRsLove, totally agree, the chemistry between those two was overwhelming, i thoguht it was a bit of a betrayal by mayday but the doors always open...
The new mayday parade doesn't have the best lyrics, but I think the overall sound of the band is much more mature. Their music has developed a lot since their first album. Go radio has the lyrics MP is missing, but it doesn't have that good musical background, which is part of why MP was so amazing in the first place.
Jason and Derek were amazing together. AMAZING. Both Go Radio and new Mayday are good but they'll never be half of what they were...I listen to both Jason and Derek's band because they're both good in their own way, I wouldn't say that they're amazing though. :/

I absolutely love TTBDF and ALIR by Mayday Parade. Anywhere But Here is actually pretty good, too. But what I thought made the group was Jason and Derek singing together. I mean, Jason singing alone is still absolutely breathtaking in his group Go Radio. But if I could wish for anything, it would be to have them get together in again preferably under the name Mayday Parade. I don't hate them for breaking up, just that when Jason left, it wasn't on good terms.
It's really frusterating when people compare the albums to each other. Seriously. forget about the other, admittedly greater, albuml and just listen. It's still pretty good.

Honestly, mayday parade was made my Jason. Not, created made, but made as in he was the band. It revolved around him. When I heard that he left I thought mp was done. Then a few months ago when I heard about the new album i was so excited. Then when I heard the voice.. It just wasnt the same. Imagine the new mayday parade songs, with jasons voice. There really isnt another like his. But Go radio is good, this is there best song.

The new mayday parade doesn't have the best lyrics, but I think the overall sound of the band is much more mature. Their music has developed a lot since their first album. Go radio has the lyrics MP is missing, but it doesn't have that good musical background, which is part of why MP was so amazing in the first place.

why cant people just enjoy the actual music anymore? on every fucking go radio video on here, almost all the comments have something to do with mayday parade. yeah, they're both fucking awesome bands, BUT THEY'RE TWO SEPERATE BANDS. the only thing they have in common is jason lancaster. who cares if he was in mayday parade though? hes good now. this song is good. nobody gives a shit about other bands; why cant people just listen for music for the actual music? ugh. p.s. ima mayday parade junkie
