My only son went off to war in Iraq.

On 06/07/2007 we got the call that every parent dreads.

Fortunately he survived, and after 14 surgeries will soon be returning home for good.

The experience has helped us understand God’s love.

My wife and I just attended our sons graduation from Air Force BMT. He goes on from there to PJ Indoc. training. This song so accurately expresses our heart. We keep him covered in prayer and pray for the safety of all of the men and women who serve our country.

My son is also in the Air Force. He graduated from BMT in June, 2009. And I agree, this song does express what my heart feels. My son is currently serving in Afghanistan and is scheduled to return to the states in a few days. He is my son and my only son. I work in a barracks in the U.K where we have lost 4 R. M.P's in 2 month's. My father is also Ex R.M.P and can't beleive the stuff these guy's are doing out there. You are right to be proud of your Son and he is a true Hero. Best Wishes from the U.K

I herd this on XM Radio on the way to church, and the first thing I did when I got there was get my guitar and chord the song. Turns out, its a really easy song to play, and yet it was the only song that stuck in my mind on the drive.

I saw you live last night in KC, MO, such a memorable performance, the tears ran down my face like rain. My only son is currently stationed at Ft. Knox.
