  • I would love a wii.

  • Check out angry video game nerd:DHe reviewed almost ALL of these consoles:D

  • awesome intro :)

  • Lovely. Next time do some research, guys.

  • Is there some reason this is littered with so many errors that Wikipedia does a better job?

  • @APE992 list the errors

  • It's funny because the psx and the ps2 totally outsold n64 and Xbox

  • ONLY 6000 VIEW?

  • What About PSP GO

PSP GO stop marketing it and that thing was crap

  • PS3 needs a new Captivating Final Fantasy with awesome Musical scores, and simplistic yet amazing gameplay. I feel that series gave the ps1 the fighting chance against Ocarina of time. The music was beyond phenomenal for its ie: a clear un distorted very well mastered vocal track, as opposed to a midi sounding pitch shifted voice (malon). I havent played 13, but from what i hear it still didnt do 7,8, or 9 any justice. Hell, recreate chrono trigger and i think Gamer vets would be back 4 round 2

  • it looks like the love chilled of SNES and Sega 3 button genesis controller my dad kept ours

  • @pippipcheerio19 cant spell for my life

  • i have a 3DO

  • Why couldn't Sega learn from their mistakes and stop releasing addons and then shitcanning them 6 months later? If they had we might all be playing the Dreamcast 2 now. That is my dream.

  • lmaoo when they were talking about the jaguar

  • awesome guys!! pretty much summed sega up in the 90's!! and im a sega fan :)

  • Without the Sega CD I wouldn't see the greatest episode of Taco-Man plays a video game.

  • Wii is selling so many due to the motion control same with the 3ds it's 3d

  • Same with the Wii it was not good as PS3 and 360, but it outsoled them both combined...

  • Yes thank you finally someone that understands that's why nintendo is better because of software

  • its nice cause sonic on the PS3 came out in 2006 :D js

  • ps3 has certainly picked up steam since this vid was first released. uncharted, metal gear solid 4, resistance, take your pick, all great exclusives. there are certainly a loooot more games being made now a days that are being released for multiple platforms. imagine how much one system would have over the other if call of duty was exclusive to ps3 or 360. same even w/ smaller (but just as awesome) titles like batman arkham asylum. basically ps3 has caught up w/ exclusives though

  • @1more4carhur Resistance I dont think is a "Great "Exclusive. Everyone always mentions Gran Turismo, im glad you havent because it fuckin sucks compared to Forza!

  • @djdavedoc well i really like gran turismo. i think it's settled in a lot of people cuz it's been around since ps1 days. and i like forza as well but im not the biggest racing games fan outside of mario kart (yea i guess that spells that out pretty well) . and again i'm admittedly a tad biased towards sony being the ps1 was my first console. but sony did come out of the gate slow w/ the ps3. ps2 didn't get amazing games for a while when it was launched. but i like both forza and gt

  • Saturn floped not because of the Dreamcast but because the Saturn got upgraded when Sega got wind of the Playstation they uped the hardware to 9 processor which made it very har to program. Developers prefaired the Playstation hardware and the killing blow came from the playstations better graphics, games and sales.

  • @NielsShoe Thats not correct at all, the main reason for the dreamcast failing was the announcement of the PS2, because people would rather wait for this mythical console to come out than buy a dreamcast, also the fact that sega had been dicking around consumers by releasing stupid add on`s and the saturn made consumers lose faith in sega, and sony had a bigger brand loyalty.

  • These people dont know what they are talking about. The Sega CD wasnt just a cd drive it also had a faster CPU and better sound chip so games made for it could use two 6800 CPUs instead of just one.

  • fuck you lady, I loved sewer shark (what a terrible, awful game.)

  • I think it's interesting how when the virtual boy came out, nintendo was like , "Oh fuck yeah! 3d is here!" Now with the 3ds, it's the same thing.

  • whats up with the fat guy keep bobbling his head

  • intellevision is actually the first 16-bit console

  • Software pushes hardware....so true eg: Nintendo NES

  • Dan is a fag

  • PS3 IS POWERFUL AS HELL!

    not

  • actually least games for a console is the sega cd32x there was only 5

  • Its official,I am the only person in the world that enjoyed The Virtual Boy!!! Great Video wish it was longer though!!!

  • @TheArtistV1

Actually, I enjoyed my brief time at a demo kiosk, playing Red Alarm. Confusing as fuck sometimes, since it was difficult to tell what was a wall and what was empty space, but still kind of fun. It was an era where I was less jaded, I'd like to think, and just kinda wowed by anything.

But I get the feeling I wouldn't have been quite so happy if I actually owned one.

  • @TheArtistV1 I like it, and it doesnt give me headaches so i could play all day

  • @TheArtistV1 Not so. I like the Virtual Boy!

  • I love hearing the story of how Sega failing. I'm not a Sega hater, I actually love my Genesis, but it's just such an interesting story.

  • @takenoprisoner42 you aren't the only one!

  • @takenoprisoner42 its perfect example of trying too hard.

  • Hey... I still have my 3DO hooked up to my TV set!

  • THUMBS UP IF U GOT LOVE FOR SEGA SATURN!!!!!

PANZER DRAGOON SERIS, BEST FIGHTING GAMES, DRAGON SHINING FORCE, VIRTUA FIGHTER RESIDENT EVIL

    HAD GREAT GAMES

EMULATOR PEOPLE STEP UP AND MAKE A GOOD SATURN EMULATOR FOR THE MAC

  • 4:26 Ah, this video is dated: Move and Kinect!

  • wait, you said intellivision was 16 bit, but then you say the turbo graphixs was the first! what the freak?!?

  • @FuyuAkiWorld Turbographx 16 was not a 16 bit console It had some kind of 2 8 bit processers but it wasn't truely 16 bit

  • @FuyuAkiWorld intellivision was the first 16 bit console but it wasn't truly 16 bit it just 2 8 bit processors, the turbo graphixs was the true first 16 bit console with a true 16 bit processor so playvalue was right.

  • @getsomegames

The Turbografx had an 8 bit CPU, the Graphics chipset was 16 bit.

Furthermore the TG-16 did amazingly well in Japan, it out sold the NES for a couple of years.

The Sega Master system was really SEGA getting their foot in the door, so it's hard for me to call it a failure considering it did not hinder their ability to make subsequent consoles.

The Saturn and Dreamcast are two amazing consoles. I understand that they are financial failures, but they have tons of amazing games.

  • @TheChieftain77

The Master System was not a failure in any way, but was in fact a success. It may not have been successful in the major North American and Japanese markets, but it was a huge success in the emerging European and South American markets, where the Master System dominated the NES.

And like you said, the TG-16 was a major success in Japan. It not only outsold the NES for some time there, but it also dominated the Mega Drive (Genesis) in Japan throughout the 16-bit era.

  • @Jagged85

It's also worth pointing out the Saturn was also a success in Japan. In fact, it was Sega's most successful console in Japan. In that sense, the Saturn was a domestic success for Sega in the same way the PC Engine / TG-16 was for NEC in Japan.

As for the DreamCast, it was actually selling very well at the time. Sega could have competed with the the PS2 if they wanted, but they simply lacked the confidence to do so, and so they took the less risky option of going software-only.

  • @FuyuAkiWorld

    i noticed that too

  • @FuyuAkiWorld yea i know someone please comform

  • @FuyuAkiWorld

That was a bit conflicting, right? The "bit wars" were a confusing time. Generally, if the CPU of the system was x-bit, then it was an x-bit system. The Intellivision did in fact have a 16-bit CPU. The TG-16 had an 8-bit CPU. It's more accurate to say, TG-16 was the first of the fourth generation consoles, which includes the likes of the SNES and Genesis. It was "16-bit class" if not technically 16-bit.

  • @FuyuAkiWorld

When it comes to graphical power, it's the GPU that is more relevant than the CPU.

The Intellivision had a 16-bit CPU, but lacked a GPU (like the consoles before it), so its graphics was nowhere near the NES or Master System which had 8-bit GPUs.

The TurboGrafx-16 is considered first true 16-bit console not because of its CPU (which was 8-bit), but because it was the first with a 16-bit GPU (two of them, in fact), putting it on the Mega Drive's class.

  • @FuyuAkiWorld

It's also worth pointing out that none of the 128-bit consoles last gen had actual 128-bit CPUs, but their CPUs were either 32-bit (DreamCast and Xbox) or 64-bit (PS2 and GameCube). However, what made them 128-bit consoles was their use of 128-bit GPUs. Like I said, it's the GPU that is more relevant than the CPU when it comes to graphical power.
