  • Il suggest take this card do a tech shop (desktop and laptop part vendor)

Ask then to pull out the fan from the card. just the fan. Put a bit of machine oil, or any substance like grease and not grease. just a bit of the lubricant on the rotor. and it wil work fine. I applied machine oil to the fan of my laptop (cpu fan) as it was making noise. N now it works silently.!!!

Some people might not like my method so u people, no need to put in ur brains

  • my god that sounds like a hair dryer!

  • you sir are an idiot you can set the fan speed your self in Windows

  • @HansensUniverse I actally tried most of the software the were suposed to do that, but with no avail. It turned out that this specific graphic card doesn't have the option to set the fan speed.

  • rule number 1 dont touch the body of the fucking video card or it might get messed up!!!

  • What was that red-black cable for which you got in the box of the 9500GT?

  • dude you shoulve got the Zotac 9500GT 1GB thats what i have right now and it has a fan and everything but i cant even hear it lol the only thing that lets me no its working is when i play game i get high FPS and my O.C. program "Firestorm" lol

  • i also have this card. it does not produce any voice. i use this card for almost 18 hrs a day. but still its amazing.

  • MSI allways make such a AWESOME motherboard box :D

    i was gonna have a MSI P965-neo

but that broke so now i got a ASUS P5KPL/1600 ... which one is better??

  • its normal for a graphic card to make that noise on start up. after that the noise should be fine

  • Holy shit thats noisy

  • @allibowthepilot no yours is worst, the 512mb DDR3 is a lot better.

  • The fan has a 4 pin connector. Go into rivatuner and reduce it's speed. BTW, Red PCB haha

  • i got 1gb version , pretty ok card

  • @buneet486

Alrite scouse, you guys are mental craic any time I'm over lol. 8)

Anyway, when you say you "removed it", do you mean the fan on the GPU, or the plastic casing around it?

If you mean the plastic casing around the GPU, that should be fine although it is more prone to dust particles etc getting into it, especially for a smoker like me. If you mean the actual fan, I would hurry and put it back on if you don't want to fry your card, possibly the M-board S bridge/N bridge etc too.

  • Also, if the sound is unbearable, or the fan won't actually spin correctly, you can look up vids on YouTube or Google it etc how to remove fans and install different, decent heat sinks instead on GPU's as well, although most companies give you a small tool kit & guide on how to do this (Plus over clocking methods) on newer cards these days anyways. 8)

  • the berrings r fucked, i own a computer shop this happens also to many other brands even with good ones like Inno3D, PowerColor, and XFX. Brand new i'm saying, one or more of the berrings r loosing lubricant lol, just a drop of zinger oil does the trick, or there's a slight voltage spike through the motherboard with aging faulty capacitors

  • woo anthor thing y have i got a smaller fan then ur mine make no noise at all :P.

  • i got excat same as u but i got 1gig ddr2 is that better?

  • Whoops I mean, 5970...

  • LOL! Yeah that sounds like an early morning hover session when you have a hang over lol! wonder what a ATI 9590 sounds like since its the size of an ironing board, must go find out...

  • thats what you get for buying an msi nvidia card! hah

  • lol leaf blower!!

  • my 9500gt has dual dvi slots and is very quite

  • is the 1gb ddr2, or the 512mb ddr3 version better?

  • for me ddr3 is better because it pumps more frames than a ddr2 card

  • go ddr5 :D

  • ddr3

  • ok, i bought ddr5, bwahahaha

  • @nikosyv it depends on your screen size if you have a 20 inch monitor the DDR2 1 gb is better because of the bigger frame buffer if you have liek a 14 or 15 inch monitor ddr3 512 mb will be faster :) hope this helped

  • edited from my last post yea the 9500GS problem is only if it's like touching the heatsink all you need to do is just install evga precision after instaling the drivers and set the fan speed if it is a 4 pin gfx card

  • it looks like you already open the box before

  • wtf I got the same card N9500GT but it's not like yours I got a very silent fan but you know 9500GT is sux get a 9600GT < or better lol

    don't u have two hands :)

  • that can't be a puproseful mistake, must be a faulty fan or something.

  • Dude, put a fuckin heat sink on the thing. DAMN!!! I hope the Nvidia Geforce isn't that loud, because im getting one at christmas.

  • nah it depens some have shity fan so...

  • Comment removed

  • What a bitch

  • Just wtf was the manufacturer thinking?

  • should be fine if you replace its cooling system... but DAMN that's loud :O

i just got a scythe fan for my case that runs at 2000 rpm and is basically a big turbine and its not even close to that :S

  • I'm not getting how you can't read three different numbers 9 5 and 0 ?

  • The 9500GT was in the packaging. The GPU that was on the case didn't look like a 9500GT. It had a different design.

  • i fixed the noise with a very easy MOD

watch the vid in my profile

  • BLOODY HELL

  • lool thats noisy as hell.. and btw.. dont touch the card but on the outer edges.. otherwise u will damage it.

  • no you wont aslong if you have anti-static'd yourself and you dont have long nails and your not grabbing it with force or moving your fingers along the surface while your holding it

  • for starters.. he was holding it all over the place without being earthed to something.. thats what i was saying.. and if your not earthed you will electricute the card. even tho u cant see it.. its happening unless ur grounded to something..

  • thanks for sharing this, i wanted to buy this card...

  • Dude I have a GALAXY version and the noise is nonexistent.

  • open the fan casing, take out the fan, buy a new 6cmx6cm fan and put it in, connect it to a spare molex and you're good to go!

  • Um u need to make sure u use the right fan coz the rpm may significantly change with the original fan.

  • It is the original mate

  • I meant if ur gonna place it with a quiet fan

  • isnt there a heatsink version?

  • Fuck man i wish mine sounded like that..at least it doesnt sound like mine. Mine rattles, like grinding gears the whole time.

  • @PlayDohz06 dude so does mine. Im thinking of getting a replacement.

  • @PermgunCa ye...i Got an ATI HD 4550....its pretty much the same performance and its cheap. No fan no problems lol. Just has heat fins and stays cool.

  • it must be broken..?

  • You sure that isn't just how it spools up on start up. My 9800 GTX+'s run loud on start up, but after the bios its silent

  • manipular tu vga de esa forma hara que muera en poco tiempo por ENERGIA ESTATICA, deberias tomarla del metal donde estan las salidas de video.

  • lol..... a 9500gt with only a VGA output. Come on now, i hope you didnt spend alot of money on that. oh and maybe you should put the cover back on your assembly line computer, then the noise wouldn't be soo loud. Or maybe the little fan has to run that fast to insure that it doesn't over heat.

  • Who said it has only vga output? This one has a DVI and HDMI output, no VGA at all.

As for the noise, it is too loud even with the cover on. Maybe the fan has to run that fast to cool it, but I suspect that its the speed that makes the noise so loud. I think it is the material from which the fan is made of and the angle of the blades. Anyway thats not cool, not for a reputable company like MSI. Had ordered like 20 of these just for a test run, but all were like this and we simply returned them..

  • well if you ordered 20 and they sound the same it must be the way the card runs. it could be from the angle and material. All in all if you tried 20 and they all made that loud sound i wouldnt use that card.

  • lol.... For trying to be an ass i well comment back. 1st that is a dvi port it's just blue for some reason you DICK.

  • DVI and HDMI

  • 9500GT wthf...suck

  • my mother board has pci-express X16 slot i know it will work but wat about the power , how much power does this card needs? 50W ? 100? 200w?

    or it does not matter?

and on my mother board it says Supports dual channel DDR2 800/667 SDRAM Memory (8GB Max) Is this for RAM or wat ?

  • did you install the drivers? when there are no drivers for a card the fan runs at full speed. once the drivers are install the fan should slow down

  • Of course I installed the drivers. I've tried the drivers on the cd provided with the card itself, I've downloaded the latest nvidia driver and tried them also, but still no result. I've tried three different softwares for fan control and they all had the same problem. Either the fan control option was grayed out or if it wasn't the fan control settings didn't respond at all.

  • @technoish man i have N9500Gt msi . If i put fan speed 100% it doesnt appear noise like you.

  • Um.....LOL! Im sorry but this is funny to me. No offense to you.

  • burmuda234 Not ALL 9500GT cards are noisy, especially not that much as the MSI 9500GT MD512! Look at my other video about the Galaxy 9500GT. The noise its not even close to this!

  • Yes it's quite a good card but the only quite card is the 9400gt which is not to good. I'm getting 9800GTX+ that is going to be quite noisy.

  • my xfx 9500gt not noisy =.=

  • Yes :D, my GeForce 9500GT is also from XFX ( DDR2 ) and the Fan is very quite and cools very good! best Low Profile Card !

I play Crysis on Medium and Crysis Wars on Medium/High with acceptable frames. ( 1152x864 )

    Spore runs on 1680x1024 :D!

GTA 4 on 1152x864 with medium/low but it runs

    smoothly!

Dont buy this crap MSI or Club3D or whatever!

Buy only good cards a little expensive but its better

  • well ddr2 is good but not good as gddr3 i can play all hihg at 1440x900 accept crysis =.=

  • same here, i got the BFG 9500GT works fine.
