Budapest one of the heaviest battles in ww2, 3500, red army soldiers were killed on this spot ,just on the final assault, this and the surrounding var area is witness of intense ,extreme and desperate resistance. 60000 German and Hungarians were killed in the surrounding 4 km,whilst pulling out.Reds probably more killed here as defenders have commanding view, beautiful place,spooky though at night,bunker museum and beer terrace definate must see.

I don´t know the hungarian history so perfectly, but i know, that aquincum was a little town in the roman times, as miller says. But i don´t think that Budapest is the ancient aquincum. And... There ARE still conflicts between slowakia and hungary, and i don´t know why, because they have NOW ( since 1993 ) an own country, which belonged once to hungary, but they are always mocking us. This video just sows the citadella, and nobody has asked him, to write such a comment. Typical of slovakia!!

well...none of you over there is right! Budapest started its being in the Roman Times already when it was called Aquincum. Then, in the times of the reign of the country it was the centre of hungarians, however many nations were already in these areas. The town became a unique capital in 1868.

And yeah, Slovakia was always part of the G.Hungarian Empire, but it was always known that the Slovaks were in a rather more, that is why there were many conflicts between them throughout history.

Because its not true. Buda and Pest were built by ancient hungarians about 900 and then they became one city at about 1800. By the way slovakia was the part of the Great Hungarian kingdom and hungarians built nearly all slovakia....
