You truely are heroes and I'm sure that no one will ever forget black Saturday and i sure do hope that no one ever has to experience that day again so thankyou to the CFA and all the volunteers that help
Volunteers are not paid for campaign fires. some other states not VIC have retained firey's who are payed when on campaign. no CFA vols were paid unless by agreement with their employer.
though some like the coppers, SES, DSE and other agencies that were deployed did apply for a one off $1000 dollars through centrelink,
Ahhhh, NO volunteers got paid for any campaign fires. That's why they are called Volunteers you noobs. Anyone who got paid, must of been through their employer's. And I am a volunteer myself who did fight the Feb 7th Fires...
Orcaholic345....I'd be interested to know how your Dad managed to get $1 000 for fighting the fires on Black Saturday whilst being in the CFA.....obviously he is not a Volunteer.
God bless the Volunteer firies. im a firefighter myself im in the Rural Fire Service. i know what these guys go through. god bless them. i reckon some of the money should go to the firies for helping and putting their lives at risk.
yeah but surely they can take out atleast a few million to pay them. then use the rest of the money. the goverment will pay for most e.g schools, police stations, cus there govenment owned.
your dad is lucky my dad is the RFS and he never got paid for going to vic. but he bought back heaps of boxes full of gatorade they were chucking out lol
Well done and thank you for putting together this film. Thinking of the CFA, volunteers and all those who have been affected by the fires- and not forgetting the animals too. Sending thoughts and hope from here in England.
Thanks for this video. Without their help more people would be dead and more distruction. I take my hats off to them and wish them all the luck at this devasting time.
Thank you, these guys are the real heros...I had tears watching this. I live 20kms south of kinglake and if the wind came down south I cannot imagine what would have happened. My thoughs are with everyone who lost loved ones - this is a traggic time but we are strong and we will carry on.
You are doing a Brilliant Job in bringing this to us Sammi at a point when help is still needed from outsiders.
The CFA & Volunteers are True Heros, I hope this awful tradegy is resolved very soon, before more lives and further environmental destruction is caused.
