  • I love your tutorials but I was wondering if you can reccomend a good, free website or something I can use for more help. Note: When say free I mean absolutely free, no extra offers, no DVD's , no ANYTHING other than free instruction, something a teenager with no money (like myself) can use on the side of your tutorials. Please and Thank you.

  • I don't really understand where most people are coming from, thanking him for the great tutorial. I didn't learn anything other than he's a great artist and I'm not... but I could be? I'm wondering if they severely moderate comments.

  • What's the bleu pencil ???

  • @MegaOmega55 Hi! I'm Michelle and I work with Darrel at the 5-Pencil Method. Darrel actually uses "Prismacolor Turquoise Pencils" in the values of 4H, 2H, HB, 2B, and 4B--these are the pencils you are seeing used in this tutorial. Have you had a chance to sign up for his free online drawing course? I'll attach a link to the course for you in the description of this video! Hope you have fun drawing! -Michelle

  • As an artist, I don't really see any point in drawing photo-realistically. I like the look of sketches a little bit better.

  • If he told a story about his life, i would listen because i just love his voice.

  • Wanna be my high school art teacher?

  • Your voice is so soothing, this was about something as boring as hair, but I couldn't bring myself to click on something else. I watched it the whole way through

I'm practically drooling to find out where to get it and I don't care how much it costs... when I think of the time it'll save me and how much better my work can be... the cost is worth it.

So can you hook me up with the info? Anybody? Buehler? Buehler? (lol)

Oh and if anyone's interestes take a look at my works on my channel... God bless!

  • What is that thing u use when u drew the curly beard, some kinda eraser pen ;S

  • @Toembo An electric eraser, he has a video on the topic.

  • very nice

  • Even an afro?

  • Electric erasers can be found at Michaels arts and crafts now you didn't hear this from me but if you sign up with them online they send you coupons about once a month. Now and then they send a 50% off and thats when I print several take my wife and kids and start shopping. Just think of the possibilities 50% Paper or a very expensive ott light, probably still paying to much but can't find these items cheaper anywhere else.. OH I love these videos..

  • Where can IN ONTARIO CANADA can i purchase that white electric eraser? What is the name of the eraser ? nykaylla @ hotmai . com

  • Thank you so much for your kind explanation and videos. I have a question about how to draw hairs. I saw another video where with the help of a brush was passed over the sample draw of hairs. Of course, with a black pencil B5 for example, it's more easy that the colors shadow so better... but in the case of white colours pencil (this happen to me) I use "Stabilo" watercolor pencils, even if I pass over a brush, the graphite does not 'fade' as I want. What I can do? Thanks if can have a reply.

  • This is so amazing, i have been drawing since i was little, i'm 16 and i already have some paintings for sale, but Darrel you have brought me a new excitement! i have never worked with electric erasers before, and i always wondered how people get such thin white lines for facial hair and such, I am so excited to try this new method, thank you SO much!!

  • 2:59 What is that? nice job, Darrel!

  • a preview would be nice

  • great video. btw what is that eraser thingy you are using and where did you get it?

  • @JadeInBlack777 The grey one is a kneaded eraser which you can find at any arts and craft store for $1.50 the blue and white one is an electric eraser and can be pretty pricey.

  • this looks sooo awesome

  • Umm the outline plz i need that the most

  • Thanks Mr. Darrel. I really need help with hair. I look forward to your next videos.

  • kool.

  • That'd be awesome, if it wasnt $70...

  • @turdfacesaywhaaaa I'll take $70 bucks for some solid lessons over $500-$800 dollar work shops with an instructor who has an attitude problem for only 3-4hrs at a time for a couple days OR THE YEARS OF HOPELESS DEBT that any old regular art school will put you through. If you're a serious art student YOU KNOW where I'm coming from in regards to a formal education and yeah I'm talking about you CAL ARTS!! *Gets off soap box :/

  • Finnnallyy a video!! You look great, how have you been?

  • I wish you were my uncle. I wanna learn to draw like you ...
