  • Seems like a lot of complicated software and messing about with search engines and such to create a bunch of average sounding, stair-steppy sounds. You could send a $200 Yamaha DX7 or Roland D-50 through a couple $50 guitar pedals and get the same noises.

I don't see the attraction of these $3000 glitch machines.

  • which pixel is the virus ti?

  • sorry, but most of them patches sounded like cheese.

  • my favourite demo of any synth. im holding onto my head

  • крутая хрень !!

  • i want a virus TI T.T

  • New Access Virus Ti Soundset. Check my channel for audio demo

  • The Problem is that for the price of one of these VA Syths you can get a MOOG Voyager! So thanks but no thanks!

  • @therealKINDLE I'm a avid Moog customer.. but comparing a Voyager and a Virus TI is like comparing apples with oranges. Neither one of them can do what the other does. The virus can emulate Moog sounds, but won't sound as good as the real thing... on the otherhand... A Voyager is monophonic, analog subtractive synthesis... it does'nt have all the bells and whistles the TI has.. both very different machines.

  • New TI owner here- HELP - when spllting, I know you can change the setting for each zone and sound you play in - can you control volume level for each split (do you have to save the sound)? So you can have a lower volume set on a bass ound on one octave and a slightly higher volume on another octave? Anyone who can anser would be so appreciated.

  • fantastic, absolutely fantastic!

  • For all the Virus TI owners out there, I've discovered a neat little hack that I'm documented/shared in the following video. This is a blast to play with :)

"/watch?v=HXyEgQWLBv8" or search "Access Virus TI Hack"

Comment/subscribe if you're a youtuber and virus owner, looking to connect with other users and hopefully patch swap, etc. Thanks!

  • im a little confused- is all of the sound generated by the hardware, and just controllable via the software, or is some of the sound generated by the software too?

  • @SnakesMF all by the hardware and controlled by the software. The hardware can be incorporated into your DAW to give you the synthesizer feeds back into the mix

  • so is access virus the software version? because that sounds like its stair stepping.. which suggests its not true analog

  • Its a VA -loud and proud. Can sound quite analog, but it is a dsp based virtual analog

  • Halp man!! How can i save some lead sounds to favorits folder? Becouse when i play live i need to be quick, i want to save some leads and pads and i need does each oneanoder like ROM A 1, 2, 3 ,4....:) ???

  • @Adeptmind its virtual analogue and yes its hardware

  • where is my damn virus....its taking sooo fucking long to get here.....ordered it more than 10 days ago......arggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggggg...i hate waiting.....argggggggggggggggggg

  • what is the difference between the VIRUS TI2 and the VIRUS TI2 POLAR ?

  • polar has a keyboard (37 keys)

  • The original VIRUS TI2,, has more keys than the polar. :)

  • thanks

  • Awsome synth!

  • Somebody please get the presenter a glass of water ;-)

  • Mike Shinoda uses this

  • shinoda..... linkin park?

  • Comment removed

  • a great synthesiser but wat a prick presenting it honestley would you use any of them sounds in a track apart from some fucked up ketamin village shit. but it is a amazing product 4 any producer

  • haha lol....i wouldnt use them...design my own sounds from the ground... or use presets to modulate them till the end...

  • Please let me know... can u record the Atomiser effects inside a DAW (ableton live in my case) ? if yes, how you route it? if i will be able to record the glitches on the master track of ableton live inside it, then i am gonna get this for sure... Let me know... thanks in advance...

  • If you turn a knob on the device, will it move in the software in realtime?

And does that software plug in as a VST?

  • is it neccissary to have a pc or a laptop to use the virus effectively live? or can u change pattches using the module itself effectively?

  • the Ti (total integration) vst-plugin is optional. you can use this synth just as any other without the aid of any pc or even use for instance an analogue step sequecer!!

  • yeh but smeone told me that with the number of features and patches on the virus its really awkward to have to change settings using the modules tiny screen when in the middle of a song

    tru?

  • u gotta get into that thing. i mean like rtfm... :-)

the menues are structured quite well. I own one myself so I can tell. but for comforts sake, use a pc!! :-)

  • filters of any v.synth out there.

Nord is another good synth, but a different quality again and not as versatile, or dirty.

Its not until you get deep into to it with an editor can you maximise its potential.

    Its a complete animal !

Wait until you hear the hits that have been made with this synth, then you will realise what it really is.

It won't replace your Moogs and Jupiters etc but it earns its own right amongst them in your studio.

It will do everything but the washing up, shame really..

  • I hate most of the presets.

But do yourself a favour. If you buy one, learn about programming or your missing a whole lot!!

Its a total workhorse. There is not another v synth around that is as versatile as this mother. Not without costing twice as much.

Every synth has its own quality/sound to it, but thats where the buck stops.

The Virus TI on the other hand can almost sound like anything.

Its never gonna be analogue warm but its pretty dam phat ! PLus its got the most convincing moog

  • im geting one of these cant wait ta play with it

  • too much noise and techy tweaking and not enough music and composition for my liking.

  • OMG, its fucking insane, im buying atm virus ti desktop

  • very nice synth very gay guy

  • he's not gay he's british!

  • And what's the difference ?

  • @firehandszarb most british are gay...

  • Oh god i want one of these, but my wallet cant afford it :(

  • Is this a plug-in like Digidesin's Hybrid?

  • does the access virus TI have drifting oscillaros im gettin one soon but dont want the oscillators to go out of tune

  • erm, I thought that only happened with real analogue synths?

  • thanks

  • I think you can make them drift if you want them to. It actually sounds pretty cool when they drift. That's why so many people like real analog. But I'm sure if they went WAY out of tune, that'd sound bad. Hell the Andromeda must have an autotune feature for a reason.

  • For a synth that actually sounds pretty good, this is the worst demo of it i've seen yet. Random noisy bullshit. Formant shifting that doesn't keytrack is a feature now? He doesn't sound convinced of the importance of what he's saying for a single moment.

  • I agree!

  • he talk a lot!!

  • im confused.....do you buy this access virus ti as a vst? or is it hardware?

  • Hardware

  • Well truthfully it's both, and when you buy it you get both.

  • superb

  • Granted I haven't played with a lot of synths. I know that you can't tell how good a synth is by it's presets, but I like my TI. It's not the best synth out there, and my Ion is better at FM. I mean come on, I know jack about about programming and I've made better patches than many of the presets. But I'm sure if you heard them you would say that I suck... a lot of you are good at that I've noticed.

  • I played the ion, it made me want it LOL it will look good next to my Virus, they're both very good synths, each have their own personality i think.

  • This synth is incredible if you want to make dance music. Lots of people aren't on this. One of my friends use this. Can't you tell you his name . He is known in the music business. I just happen to live fifteen minutes away from him. Trust me that thing is dope as all hell. Worth getting , try ebay first.

  • a famous dance music producer with a secret name...?

  • MADRRRRR makes a valid point about virtual analogue engines which is worth taking on board. Sometime back, I was in a music shop and there was a guy being given a demo of the then new Nord lead. I started auditioning the Yamaha FS1R (advanced FM + formant shaping) rack nearby and on the strength of what he heard me playing, he completely lost interest in the Nord and bought the FS1R straight away.

  • matthew stolley?

  • Not necessarily a "legendary drum n bass producer", but quite possibly a legendary Virus sound designer (who has primarily focused his sounds on breaks and dnb).

  • z3ta is considered to be very close sounding the virus. Albino also.

  • Don't know why everyones giving the thumbs down to you , albino aint close but Z3TA+ is very close. the Virus aint ALL that anymore...sure 4 years ago it was great now its just ...Good, nothing you cant get in software with a little work.

  • Nahh...The Z3ta comes close but isnt half as fat /wide sounding as the TI.

  • Great Synth!

  • Hey all. I know nothing about synths to be honest. This video leads me to believe that an access virus ti must be connected to a computer or mac in order to work?? Please tell me this isn't true!

  • No it doesn't need to be connected to a pc or mac. Though it makes some types of editing easier if it is and allows you to acces some areas of the synth that normaly can't be accessed from the hardware.

  • no u can just plug speakers to it or pc

  • Its a complete instrument, but it is also fully integratable into a computer. I believe the entire synth engine can be used as a plugin for protools, sony acid, etc. you can also use search, use mouse, and computer keyboard which is a lot faster for finding stuff. This synth is powerful

  • i heard Ronan Harris used it a lot for Empires and Empires is ace so i thought i'd check it out. i'm clueless though ^_^ oh... and Synths are cuz you can do anything with them, you have a whole electronic orchestra at your fingertips with a synth.

  • lalikarl, this synth will not please you, its a bit too progressive. you should get down to kmart and pick up a nice casiotone.

  • no... what i did was i got down to the roland store and picked up a VERY nice roland fantom x8 that one really please me....

  • The Fantom is a good recording workstation, but I've heard better preset programs on a $400 Casio WK-3500-seriously!

Anyone who talks shit about the Virus has no fucking clue about synths & is NOT a musician.

  • I know nothing about synths? and i'm not a musician ? And you talk about presets when you talk about the quality of a synth ? hahahaha .. get yourself a keyboard instead of a synth quick !

  • The Virus TI can do the job of many synths. With 16 part multitimbrality, 80 voices and a very advanced synth engine, you can be pleased. unless you like accoustic music.

btw Musicians needs to look for sounds to make music, the listeners/buyers are those who look for the music.

keybdwizrd have created 9 demo's with the Virus TI polar, check them out.

  • at CasaNotra i didnt said that virus sucks.

    Its a wondefull machine.

    Get ur fact straight.

Just saying that. That u don't need killer synthesisers to make killer synths.

  • 2 andivax

I recommend V-Synth... amazing synth and sound, BEST for sound designers !!!

  • What's the big deal about the V-Synth?If you're referring to the GT model-it's almost 3 GRAND!The Access Virus is the top analogue synth on the market-just read the specs & LISTEN to it-it's $300 cheaper than the Roland. The Nord Lead 2X is a better synth & is only a grand(if you don't mind having 570 more programs & no effects)

  • 2 Monokster and other people who say that Virus sucks

Don't say things if u don't understand... NO VST, NO OTHER SYNTH will do more massive and fat synth sound then Virus Ti. If u don't know how creat sounds that not say - synth is crap !!! Almost all (not everybody but many people) major producers use Virus in studio... so , people!!! THINK BEFORE - saying a stupid things if u are not professional producer / sound designer !!!

  • You all suck. You don't need this synth to make killer synths.

Just use a simple Oscillator. its the skill what makes the synth great. The dudes that uses patches are just plain noobs.

  • well genius, why don't you build a web page with some tutorials and show people how its done and quit bitching . I don't see your music anywhere , do I?

  • I bet u didn't took time to search for my music.

    who cares tho.

  • I tried find ur music too. Can't find .. so give page 2 people..where ur stuff in. and we will see how much u genius.

  • i agree with mike thrust if you think you know how its done make a tutorial. different synths suit different poeple so dont come on here and start ranting on about the virus being shit if you dont like it find a differnt synth. For me this synth is perfect its a trance producers dream. Im interested at how you play the synth however monokster

  • i like my Minimoog..

  • lol, can someone point me to one youtube video that doesnt sound like 'digital crap'. its called compression and to think that the virus actually sounds like that is fckin stupid. i would love this synth. rob papen softsynths are cool

  • yes i have a sample cd of virus samples ansd it can be very very nasty. has good distortion on it.

  • Greate show !!!! Super synth !!!

  • i have TI. goood one! now i am looking for a nasty sounding stuff. may be novation or roland v-synth gt...

  • Can this synth do anything besides really whimpy trance-synth like stuff? Never heard any demos of this synth that are really rough and brutal.. I'm gonna buy the RADIAS for its programing posibilities, but im looking for alternatives so that i dont find something two weeks after and go "daaamn... bought the wrong synth.."

  • I hear that.

  • this is probably the meanest synth out there. ive heard some tracks with this synth. check out DJ SLOW on google and go to the soundclick profile. its nuts. this synth is insane. before you say the virus sucks check out dj slow. you wont regret it. btw, im not dj slow.

  • whimpy trance have you been living in a cave or something?? this is one of the best trance synths out there and if you find one better i would love to hear about it.

  • Hahahahaha .. if you like 5 years old yes .. Even a nordlead 1 sounds better. And you can pick that up for about nothing like $200. In the end it's all about the skills. Then comes gear ! Only access stuff i want are the matrix 6 and microwave programmer ...

  • i ja mam za to placic 8 tysi? gówno!, albo ten baran nie potrafi zademonstrowac. Shite mouhucka

  • disgusting .. i hated every sound it mad .. :(

  • i agree digital crap !!!!

  • Nice. I didn't know the Virus did Wave and Granular synthesis.

  • Nice effect :) would like this product... (when i have the money to get it ^^)

  • hahaha .. digital rubbish !

  • lol...I bet you judge the virus by this demo' s audio quality. Digital rubbish ? Which synths do you use man ? Unless you are very rich I don' t think you can have the 20 vintage analogue synths to do the job of one virus. It is simply the best sounding virtual analogue out there, go give it a try, believe me

  • No i don't ! I know the synth and i know a lot of VA synths.I have a Q rack myself. It's all about the low/mid range. And how it cuts through the mix. And yes analog rules. Even Fm sounds fatter when you listen to the mid/low and cutting in the mix. And yes i a have big analog collection. But no need name them here, it's not significant. The quality of va synths are. Also analog synths don't cost shit. Get yourself an sequential 6 trak of korg dw 8000 and be amazed by $300 worth of analog synth

  • Not everyone want to copy analog synthesis. TI is alot more then that.

  • Again .. buy yourself an Yamaha tx81z for $50 and put it next to the TI and whatch it beeing splashed by the tx81z ... it's all about the mid/low end.

Also the TI can't do more than machines made 15 ( !!!) years ago like a kurzweil k2000 which is at this time around $250 and 'vastly' more advanced then the TI.

You can give me a thousands thumbs down .. but y'all don't know what your talking about. All this technology is already done 15 years ago.

  • You don't know what TI is then.

  • Then you can tell me what's the innovative synthesis in there. I can't find it.

  • you can find it on the access music web site.

  • Hahaha you must be kidding me. If you tell me i don't know the Ti then I presume you must know. But it looks like you don't. And if you do, you know it aint innovative. That's why you don't answer directly and point to the specs. Too bad cause it makes you look like you're the weakest link here !

  • When you say stuff like: "buy yourself an Yamaha tx81z for $50 and put it next to the TI and whatch it beeing splashed by the tx81z" means you are a smartass trying to be mister know-it-all, and your replys with "hahaha I know more then you", then I start to puke. You can't compare those synths at all. you should know better then that.

  • Play the damn thing allready!!!

  • now work on new tutorial files!!!

  • When you were young, and your USB was an open port....

  • What you mean?

  • I wanna see Goldfilter! Who won it?

  • ....

  • Great video. Thanks

  • thanks or this

  • THERE he is. Benneleh!
