The person who says Joe LaBarbera is average must not have a very good understanding of Jazz.. Joe is an icon in jazz drumming. Check out his work with Bill Evans.

I can't believe that I am waisting time replying to your comment, but for the sake of musicianship: Jazz is not a sport competition nor a matter of who-is-better-than-who. Had you known the line of artists that Joe Labarbera worked with (not to mention that he himself is a great band leader), you would have thought twice before writing your absent-minded & non-musical comment. And by the way, Joe states Higgins as one of his incluences. Unfortunately he is under-rated.. cheers!
