  • nunchucks near a mirror..... really close to a mirror...... pro not to hit it

  • Again,a complete waste of time,it doesnt improve dynamic balance which is what happens in kicking. What hes showing is static balance, not useful for kicking. The unstable surface is also useless as it doesnt transfer to kicking

  • @scarred10 There are many MMA fighters who'd disagree with you. Stabilization exercises like these improve the kinetic chain, the communication and relationship between one's muscular, skeletal, and nervous systems. They may not immediately address actual kicking movement, but they definitely work the core, which where all movement begins. It's exercises like these that can prevent that lumbo-pelvic-hip pain that many martial artists experience from repeated movements such as kicking.

  • @deek77 mma fighters and most athletes dont know jack shit about exercise science, they follow evryone else. These exercises are far less beneficial than other core work and even the basic compound lifts.Your second sentence is meaningless, youre just saying it improves coordination but it isnt specific to kicking so is useless. There is no general coordination ability.

  • @scarred10 You say it's meaningless because you assume I'm just referring to coordination, that's only one part of the equation. There's also strengthening of connective tissue, mechanoreceptors, list goes on. If those areas are weak, the result is limited muscle function, which happens to be very important in kicking and other movements. You may not see the point of it, but you happen to be only one person with one view of things. There are others who benefit greatly from such things.

  • @deek77 every exercis e with resistance strengthens connective tissue to a point, you cant strengthen mechanoreceptors(which is part of cordination anyway). The point im making is that static balance on an unstable surface doesnt help combat movements beyond beginner level(when everything helps).Whenever I see anyone on a ball/wobbleboard claiming conditioning for a sport,i know they are a clown. There may be some benefit to prehab/rehab,not strength/conditioning.

  • @scarred10 I meant to to fine-tune mechanreceptors so they can do their job better (I should've explained that better, apologies). It's the beginning stages of fitness, yes, but once you reach certain gains in your fitness levels, one can re-incorporate stabilization exericises in your training, at a higher intensity of course. As you probably know, the body is quick to adapt, not just in terms of strength or speed, but neuromuscular activity as well. But we can agree to disagree.

  • @deek77 you do know that improving propriception is entirely task specific, its part of the skill so standing on an unstable surface wouldnt transfer to anything off it.Regular strength ,power and agility training specific to your sport are more than enough for stabilisation requirements,no balls or boards needed.

  • @scarred10 It's part of improving the kinetic chain, which transfers to all human movement, as well as sport specific training. Good stability leads to better mobility, it's an ongoing affair. It's more of a sprial staircase than just a straight flight of stairs, you approach each aspects at increasing levels. The body is very adaptive, if you simply focus on certain aspects eventually others will plateau and drop, which requires re-training. Again, we can disagree on this, it's cool.

  • @deek77 youre assuming that unstable surfaces not found in sport will help sporting stability,it wont transfer and the skills wont either. This isnt a matter of opinion. There almost universal agreement amongst the better coaches and all the sports scientists,eg verkoshansky, siff, yessis, viru ,mcgill etc

  • @scarred10 We're clearly talking about two different things. You're talking about sport specific activity, I'm talking about all human movement, which includes different types of activity at different levesl. Would that everyone were at your level of training, but everyone is not. If that makes them beginners, so be it. Performance enhancement training is but one aspect of exercise science, not the totality of it. I'll end here, if you feel led to have the last word, feel free.

  • @deek77 i talking about there not being a general balance ability in human beings, blance is task specific, not sport specific

  • i like the aladin music HAHAHAHAH

  • HOW TO U WORK ABS ,,AND HOW DO U EAT TO ATAIN 10 % BODY FAT

  • @zekidz need 5% body fat to show abs kid

  • @KaneAzlan wat can i eat to atain this ,,i am a bboy ,,i want a clean body thank you ,,peace

  • @zekidz does it mean that that you can only smoke or drink beer?

  • @zekidz Break your meals into smaller portions. Never eat a large meal at once. If you have 3 meals a day, break it down into 6. Never eat and sleep straight away. Have your fruits first, veggies second, then your protein and finally your carbohydrate which may be bread or rice. Have whole meal bread and brown rice. Take less oily food. Avoid fried stuff. Having junk food once in a while is fine. Never everyday! And finally, work on your leg muscles more and never just focus on the abs.God bless

  • @KaneAzlan thank u very much for answering and taking ur time ,,,bless,,,but can u explain me how leg exercise help, message in private if u want ,thank you once more

  • 0:58 he totally owns the celery.

  • Is it just me doing this exercise wrong, or do these one-footed squats notably strain the bended knee's kneecaps?

Oh, and i love "A Whole New World". Didn't expect to hear it in that video :D

  • @LinkEX

That means you leg and knee is not strong enough. Keep doing it and you will improve every time. Everybody starts somewhere...

  • Mr Lee is back in town Bruce Lee that is

  • Nunchuck and heavy bags, that wouldn't be a good mix!

  • Working out and Eating food.

    My two favorite activities.

  • Thanks for all the comments and suggestions everyone. I look into them and make it better. Yes I am Viet. I had the food in there because most people ask what I eat? What's my diet like so I just thought I would throw it in there and combine with my workout so it would not bore you guys as much :) maybe you are right!

  • These balance excercises are VERY bad for knees. try different stances keeping your lower legs standing up, not leaning your knee to the ground... unless you believe you have a PERFECT anatomy. Just an advice.

  • Hey, are you viet?

  • its goku in the making

  • I thought the video was great.. except for the food segments, that was was a waste of time. But still a useful vid. thks.

  • keep up the good work...i bet u don't eat pho much. lol

  • vietnamese??

    lau???:D:D:D

  • Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamn, that is some dedication, balance, core, and length strength example right there. Props to you man doing that without a bosu ball is hard as fuck, I hope to work my way up to where your at eventually, I'm almost there!

  • When you do nunchakus, technically you should have your hands closer to the ends. That way, you can use properly hit something without the other end bouncing back and hitting you. But if you're just doing twirling just to twirl, then you can keep your hand closer to the chain for easier control.

  • The New Bruce Lee

  • nunchucks hurt

  • @itsaguinness haha no shit...XD

  • Nunchucks scares me!!!

  • Try doing that with your eyes closed.

  • 1:11 OOOh Myy FF... God !!!

  • ur armpits are so hairy:D

  • Well i don't know how old u are, but when I was in my 20s-mid 30s I had to eat a lot as well due to high metabolism. Now I am 44 and want to learn Muay Thai, yet I don't know if my knees can take the type of core exercises you are doing here.

  • @elchatoist That's the age at which Most Muay Thai people find their body falling apart. Don't go into such a destructive martial art at your age- Do Wing Chun. It's meant to be an old man's martial art, it's good for your body, and you are less likely to get hit, especially if you're not particularly quick on your feet. There are other workouts though, of course, that won't be so stressful on your joints.

  • @Ophiucus0907 , thanks for that. But i'm going to try it anyway. I have been looking at things to do to re-strengthen those parts of my body. I am 44 but in pretty good shape. it's old injuries that come back to haunt. But I will give it a go. Cheers!

  • Best leg and balance training, really. Perfect base for studying Wing Chun or other Kung Fu styles.

  • how long did it take you to reach the body your at now?

  • stand on ur balls near there instead lol...

  • yo, awesome strength.

i do Siu Nim Tao forms on one leg, but i cannot do a one leg squat yet.

i will try this on the balance board...

    thanks, and peace!

  • ... makes me feel like such a fatass

  • WHYY Do thy show the fuckin foood?!?!?! I'm hungry ._.

  • I would never make it on top of that bosu before I found myself making a nose dive to the floor. I have the worst balance ever!!! I hope to some day get as good as you without trips in an ambulance...LOL!!!! Out of curiousity how man hours do you work out a week?

  • HAHA 2:10, no asian party is complete without karaoke

  • i see your lower abs are low as mine. But nice video despite low protein turkey.

  • your a beast much props!!!

  • you can also do it on a basketball but come on you cant apply your diet to a feast, dieting is extremely overrated

  • man thats a great job, your balance is awesome! It bums me out because when I try this with my left leg I experience knee pain. My right leg I can do it but my left leg is finsihed. Good job man!!

  • wow thanks for showing these exercises, I'll practice them too.

LOL at the Aladin song at 2:00 (from disney)

  • hmmmm tasty :D

  • Wow i'd just fall over if i did this

  • damnit now i'm hungry

  • i believe balancing requires strength and concentration

correct me if i am wrong

  • @RookieN08

but after you develop the strength and concentration, it becomes reflex.

  • @RookieN08

+ sense of your muscles for the tension and reaction

this sense is the most important and depends on the muscles you need for the balance (for example: your balance with feed is good, but you cant hold the handstand)

  • He would kick you in the teeth without lifting his foot off of the ground.

  • u look like a black bulgarian ahahahah!!

  • Lovely foods - bad karaoke !!!

Those bosu are damn expensive, but seem great though. One legged squats are the bomb too, best leg exercise out there,

another super video man keep them coming !

  • Happy New Year man. Your food looks great. Any idea where I can get the thing you were balancing on?

  • If I am correct then it is called BOSU.
