Um i dont know if were supposed to detach the umbilical cord or not this is my cats first litter and im too nervous i rented 7 books about cats from the library abd so far none of them have helped me its unbelievable and its supposed to happen in two weeks but it might be less im freaking out

I love all the stupid comments people leave like they know EVERYTHING about cat birth. Some of them are ridiculous lol. If you are not a vet or vet tech etc then your opinions aren't fact and not needed.

@casagrandecats its fine chill out, cats need to do this. My cat gave birth to 3 kitties. We handled it with care. This person is doing fine. Why is it that in ever video, people are outraged over stupid things.

@casagrandecats The ER isn't very quiet to start off with. In nature, animals have enough issues to give birth facing threats from nature (ie weather) and predators. This is more than a safe environment, even with the noise. My sister and I were only preteens and pretty loud with amazement when my cat gave birth. It was fine and the kitten were healthy.

I don't understand how people get upset over the most minor details.

what it did is the same process as cutting the umbilical cord..except the cats do not exactly have a thumb to use a pair of scissors...either way..glad that the kitten made it..really beautiful video..

Yes the 3rd kitten made it!!! They were all fine :) it was her first litter and she was actually so scared when she had the first one that she ran away and hid from it. Shes had 2 more litters since then and she did fine.

aww so cute ^^ my kitty is in labour right now, but its to early, so the first 2 kitties died T_T im sad :( they were very underdeveloped. Im still awaiting the other kittens... but its going to take a while.. im happy for your cats kittens ^^
