  • odd thing is,this is in parts of Gilneas

  • Ï'm ä lör nurd, and prawd uv it!

  • @KaxakaDarktree You should consider being a grammar-nerd instead, i imagine it would help people to understand that youre not a dumbass who lost all english letters on hes keyboard.

  • This song also plays in ICC. Oddly enough.

  • The Riflt of Aln is in the emerald Dream, I think where it originated, the beginning of the Emrald Dream. In the book Stormrage, Malfurion defeats the Emerald Nightmare, but has to push it into the rift and seal it, so it's still kinda there, being all....bad and stuff.

  • @0beastly0 it is seeping back out into the emerald dream, and there is almost 100% confirmed that an old god is trapped there, being the cause of the emerald nightmare to begin with....

  • @Fenryrfrostborn This old god being the nightmare lord...? And why is there music for The Rift of Aln? Could you go there in the game?

  • where's this music from? it's not present in the original soundtrack.

  • @anfauglir2 I believe this is a new Cataclysm music piece. You can hear this in the Molten Front.

  • Did you guys know this has the same melody as the Firelands trailer music? It's a much more calmer variation.

  • I loved hearing this theme playing distantly and detached in the Firelands, that was very cool. :)

  • so there will be something like going into the emerald dream?

  • @skydadro they've already dealt with the emerald dream, that's the reason why malfurion is actually back in the game, they went over that in the book about it... i think they wanted to implement something like an instance about the emerald dream but they just didn't :/

  • @FancyTophatDude The emerald dream is'nt 100% cleansed, Malfurion says to Tyrande something about that "he day are saved and that the problem with the great evil at the bottom of the rift of aln, has to be dealt with later. And there are several portals into the emerald dream scattered across Azeroth. And N'zoth /Zath are linked to the emerald dream, N'zoth = a old god that is responsible for the "spark" that created the Emerald Nightmare

  • @Habbarapapp i know but however it's unlikly for us to see an emerald dream instance, probably a big instance with N'zoth maybe at the end of cataclysm, 'cause i think that's also the old god that corrupted deathwing, right?

  • @FancyTophatDude N'zoth is said to live at the bottom of the sea, due to the puzzlebox of Yogg-saron and the undershell at L'ghorek at The abyssal deeps (varios clues there). And it was not just him who drove Deathwing mad, it aws "the three". 3 old gods, and what we know now, is Yogg, C'thun, and N'zoth. So it could be all of them. or some other ones. I don't really know, let me find out if u find something!

  • @Habbarapapp alright, so it's actually quite likely to see n'zoth as a boss in cata if we think about it...but i'll post it if i find something interesting :)

  • @Habbarapapp perhaps if the next expansion is about the emerald nightmare, N'zoth somehow revives the other two old gods and then the final boss fight of the expansion would be against all three, who knoes, the'll probably announce it at blizzcon next month

  • @Taxrenn93 as it happens the next expansion IS about the emerald nightmare and the disruption in the timeways. also, the old gods were never killed, just cast out of azeroth( th eones we have encountered) and there are several others just locked away( the puzzle box of yogg'saron gives hints to where they are hidden)

  • @skydadro

As far as I know it will be the concept of an expac in the future

  • @Vonstuker4 I imagine it will be titled "Shadows of the Dream" or possibly, "The Emerald Nightmare". Something along those lines... I hope it's the next expansion. We havn't had a truly devious boss since Kel'thuzad launched his assault across Azeroth right before BC.

  • @Verixus113

Well, the hype about the next expac now is pandora.. which (people say) is suppose to be an expac around pandas. (which i hope to god isnt true) and as a 6+ year subscriber to WoW I dont think blizzard would do that. But at the same time, WoW is running out of lore, so it's hard to really be 100% sure

  • @Vonstuker4 actually, Blizzard openly stated that the only thing that they Copyrighted Mists of Pandoria for is for comics.

  • @Verixus113 Naah, they never said that. + the trademark wasn't for a comic book or figurine. ;)

  • @Dextail this is a direct copy and paste from an interview with Ghostcrawler, "On Mists of Pandaria: "Most of the time when we do anything panda-related it's going to be a comic book or a figurine or something like that.""

  • @Verixus113 Yes. MOST of the time. It wouldnt be the first time they are leading us the wrong way. I'm not saying that Mists of Pandaria will be an expansion, ofcourse it could be comic or even new game. But they have not confirmed anything, so we will have to wait and see. :)

  • @Vonstuker4

Wow isnt running out of lore. lol. Dude, I bet you dont even know all the lore. PANDARIAN WAS LORE! it preexisted....

  • @orginallos yes, a patetic part of the lore but a lore )=

  • @orginallos you mean it was an easter egg huh?...

  • The image presented reminds me of something out of a Tim Burton film. But the music really fits it perfectly & overall looks/sounds cool.

  • @superwowman100 seriously man, ya'll should stop posting that, its the fifth time in a row i see this comment

  • @R4ul5k8

report as spam every time you see it and he will be shut up

  • Do not wake the Dreamer...

  • N'zoth you beast, messing with people's minds an' sheet.

  • This is heard in Gilnaes aswell :-D

  • N'zoth gonna mindrape yo ass. I mean mind 8D

  • Sargeras and the BL hate eachother. Stop lying.

  • @TheNickMains *old gods and BL

  • I'm sitting in Library and seeing this Picture, Hearing this Music. Awesome!!! But THe Song ends and Life continues beeing boring and hard... What pleasure it would Be, to switch Worlds for some time....

  • @Da99KING You never know whats out there in the universe. Possiblities can be solved with science. For all we know there could be a planet far off in another galaxy where magic does exist.

  • "Flee screaming into the black forest" now that comment from the puzzle box freaked meh out with the build up to seeming insanity and all :O

  • its a worgen song too without the voices i thing

  • that picture... wasent it soposed to be used for the emerald dream expansion?

  • god...cello can be so evil, love it

  • Laur nurding 4ever

  • The first 25 secs reminds me of Fable.

  • N'Zoth, you are legit.

  • I think that Satyr have to join the Horde... They look nice :D

  • I play for the lore and PvP because raiding is too easy, scripted fights lol.... I PvP the idiots that think their good and are PvE heroes! L2p Gladiator noobz

  • @madaznboy Damn right!

  • @madaznboy Well, this is your opinion, and it's your right to have it. But your suggestion "L2p Gladiator noobz" is not put precisely enough.

How are raiders supposed to learn and get better, when always pwned by people like you?

Let's see it this way: They are two different things in one game, and you cannot do both well - at least with one character.

  • idiot, it's the emerald nightmare

    do sum reseerch necks time

  • @BillyGatesMirror Do some grammar lessons next time.

  • @MethuPwnzlol find a better insult than grammar next time. lololol tryin to get teh last laugh with grammar? *scoff*

  • @MethuPwnzlol he was being sarcastic, fool.

  • the main reason i play wow is because of the lore... im not a freak like those people who think u need a gs of 5.9k to get into naxx... nope.. idc .. i play for quests and story line.. its better then reading a book! and your charater u make is involed in the story and u can see it first hand...

  • @malonze10 agreed with you ... never reached Lich King in Wotlk because My Gs was 5.1K and they wanted higher but there wasn't any chance to improve it if i couldn't do ICC ... 80% of wow players are noobs that care for themself ... and I left my 5.1K GS DK and started another character but got tierd of making a new cuz in 5 years I played wow and made almost every quest in the game ... I wait for Cataclysm where I'll have like a new game where i can do quest and learn about new lore :D

  • @D0NJEDI Try joining a guild.

  • @konnoryuu-@D0NJEDI or stop playing on free :P

  • hell yeah. i hope emerald dream will be next expansion or at least addition to cataclysm,

i like WoW lore a lot, not like im reading it all time but example i like reading interesting things as LordBrunnen said , there is nothing wrong about it, i mean WoW lore is one great piece of art and Chris Metzen is fucking genious, you can write easily as many books about it as Hary Potter have or Lord of the Rings

  • I hope they still make a Emeral of Dream expantion, i dont know if they are now.

  • @Kattl07 Omg it totally does!

  • I'm not sure what you're complaining about, I personally love it.

  • Hm, before 0:30 it was pretty good in representing the mystical but scary dreamscape of this picture

  • 0:11 - 0:21 sounds like Harry Potter. :D

  • @Kattl07 Omg lol!! It does

  • @Kattl07 hah you are right

  • I don't think the music is very fitting, in my opinion.

It doesn't sound as sinister or nightmarish as it should.

  • @Duckpasties Your right it needs a bit more

TROOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOLOLOLOOOOOOOOOOO LOLOLO LOLO LOLOLO in it.

  • Looks like some Demon world of Chaos in Warhammer.

  • It unknown who the true master of Xavius is, and the closest thing we have to a clue is Malfurion's statement about old powers beneath the earth. Looking beyond that, isnt it slightly disturbing that the name of the source of the nightmare appears in a music file for Cataclysm?

  • You are speaking of speculation, it is NOWHERE specified who is the true master of the Nightmare after Xavius. I'm speaking of facts. Nowhere the olds gods or sargeras are DIRECTLY linked to the nightmare yet, even if it's the old gods that corrupted Xavius, it could be an interely other being.

  • Actualy, it isn't directly Sargeras. The nightmare is personified by Xavius, the first satyr that was transformed into a tree and dumbed at the bottom of the ocean, he's been the one keeping malfurion sleeping with the help of Fangal and he was the cause of Teldrasil corruption before malfurion's return. But yes, Xavius, Sargeras, Deathwing and Old Gods are tighly linked even if they aren't united as a normal faction is.. And yeah i'm a lore rat :P

  • @LordBrunnen Xavius was actually given the power to do that by the Old Gods thats why even with his defeat the Nightmare was only weakend not destroyed because the true source is an Old God.

  • @LordBrunnen I don't see how Sargeras is in any way linked to Azeroth's old gods. :\

  • @LordBrunnen Fandral! And you forgot Queen Azshara too. :x

  • @LordBrunnen you are like me... i know mostly everything before wow

  • @LordBrunnen just say so no one misunderstands waht u are saying Xavius was the first Highborne to be transformed into a Satyr later transformed into a tree and dumbed into the sea :P

  • @LordBrunnen Xavius is dead.

And he was not the one behind the Emerald Nightmare. He was a pawn to the Old God N'Zath, who is the true culprit.

  • @StationaryHawk How do people know so much of WoW Lore? Books? Ingame? Or am I missing some secret Tome where I can get all this info?

  • @Caigga900 A combination of books, in-game quest text and books, and the Warcraft RTS games.

And a little site called Wowpedia.

  • @StationaryHawk your right the emerald dream is talked about in every game and there a ton of books and movies about it

  • @StationaryHawk your right the emerald dream is talked about in every game and there a ton of books and movies about it. and there this one quest in old world before cata that wants you to go to the emerald dream

  • @Caigga900 wowwiki.com

  • @LordBrunnen N'zoth, The New Old God, is the true Nightmare of the Emerald Dream. Just saying. :3

  • @gmoddraco They said N'Zath created the Nightmare, not that he is the Nightmare.

  • @LordBrunnen The nightmare is created by N'Zath, not Xavius or Sargeras. All Sargeras did was drive Deathwing mad

  • @WannabeNaVi wow, you've messed that up a bit, Sargeras had nothing to do with Deathwing, that was YoggSaron, N'zoth, and one other Old God, and Xavius was the driving force of the Nightmare, while N'Zoth just supplied the power.

  • @LordBrunnen so is Sargeras still inside Medihv? What ever became of Medihv in the wow lore?. I hope they make the next expanse more about the titans and Sargeras's fall into darkness.

  • @Crazymagus13 Midihv was killed by Khadgar and the champion of the alliance Lothar. After that his mother Aegwynn gathered power for years to bring him back. When he was brought back, he used his new life to atone and try to help the world, such as directing Thrall and attempting to help King Tirinis with the Lich King.

  • @LordBrunnen lol sargeras isnt connected to the old gods bro

  • @seksyen4babyface They don't work together outright, but in the past they do attempt to use one another to complete goals. For instance: old gods attempted to use the coming of Sargeras to weaken and escape their prison back in the War of the Ancients.

  • @seksyen4babyface they are, actually, sargeras was the titans champion, and the one to fight the old gods, and the old gods made great efforts to manipulate him.

  • @LordBrunnen The 1 who is the main reason of the nightmare is called "N'zoth" He will be the old god of cataclysm, he is also known as "The Black goat with seven eys" and the "The Drowned god with a black heart"

He i said to be in a city/land named "Nyalotha"

  • @1337Figaro You got a source for this?

  • @Banjoing Well if you watched blizzcon or got the puzzle-box from archeolagy you'll find out about the things i wrote.

  • @LordBrunnen On Blizzon they mentioned a new old god wich was the main reason for the nightmare, Metzen said his name would be "N'zoth the drowned god with the black heart"

  • @LordBrunnen wow lore is just the most epic story wroten ih whole history at least for me :D ... guess i dont read a lot but the lore is just amazing so deep and well twisted involving those epic creatures who are our heroes in azeroth :P

  • @LordBrunnen The nightmare is the result of one specific Old God, N'zoth. As far as we're aware, Deathwing and the Burning Legion have nothing to do with it directly.

  • @StationaryHawk Ok, this is a reply to EVERYONE that said N'zoth and everything.. Back in the time I wrote that comment, never the name N'zoth was ever pronounced, and that was the explanation agreed by everyone, now stop always comming back with N'zoth everytime

  • @GeneralKet u mad bro?

Relating the nightmare to the Burning Legion is silly in the first place, anyways.

  • @LordBrunnen Queen Azshara is one fo the ones linked to old gods too ;) Im also a lore rat :P

  • @Habbarapapp Azshara is linked to the old gods? can you explain that one... I didn't get that tie damn I need to did into the lore more....

  • @Casicko You know when the well of eternity "imploded", then the water of the well rushed through the night elven empire, when the water reached Azharas temple and her highborne, she held a defensive ward, who shielded them agains the water, but her strenght was fading, at that time, an whisper in her mind appeared, saying something like " Let it go, You will be redemed and serve me." An old god, when she did this, and the water filed the lungs of the Highbornes, they did not drown, instread. ->

  • @Casicko second, last of the description:

-> They sank to the bottom, transformed and remade to awful beings, The Naga, they sank to the bottom, there they built an empire, more powerful than the elven empire, at the bottom of the sea.

There was said that Azshara drowned and wa gone for ever, but after ten thousand year, the naga showed themselves to the surrounding world for the first time. It is speculated that Azshara was transformed to a huge monstrosity with 8 big tentacles as her legs. ->

  • @Casicko 3 comment (now the last)

or as a usual naga, but with her former beauty. This whisperings "Let it go, You will be redeemed and serve me," something was from an old god, speculated to be N'zath, the drowned old god wich maybe will be revealed in Cataclysm. in Yogg-sarons puzzle box, you can see whisperings that mention the drowned old god (N'zoth). and they where transformed to water beeings. Now, in Vashj'ir, you can see the naga summoing and controlling faceless beeings.Hope it helped!

  • @Habbarapapp aaaahh! I love a good story ^_^ I'll have to level my character faster so I can go see the transformed Azshara in Vashj'ir! Yay! Thanks!

  • @Casicko oh, not to do you dissapointed, but it isn't Azshara who's transformed, its just speculations, but you can see pictures at her at Wowwiki, and in Vashj'ir you can see the naga summoning Old gods linked creatures :)

  • @Habbarapapp Could you explain please how Xavius is related to the Nightmare ?

  • @APPOCALYYPS3 He is perhaps the night elf most responsible for the Burning Legions interest in Azeroth. It was Xavius who first became convinced that Sargeras, ruler of the Burning Legion, was a god sent to deliver Azeroth. Lord Xavius also convinced the night elven queen Azshara of the necessity of turning the will of her mages, the so-called Highborne, towards creating a portal into the Twisting Nether through which Sargeras and the Legion could enter into the world, Then came the sundering...

  • @Habbarapapp I don't really know, read on wowwiki, there something that his soul survived the sundering, given to the old gods, got into the emerald dream, and with Sargeras help, they let the Twisting nether seep into the dream and corrupting it, thats what i know for now. He corrupted Fandral Staghelm to plant a branch of his own tree form (the form of theNightmare lord, how he appears when he corrupts) to plant it on Teldrassil to connect the emerald dream with Azeroth, to be just one plane.

  • Yes misterbearbe your right but guess who has the connection through those dementions? Well most dont rarely know him anymore because ppl dont care too much about lore but yea sargeras is doing all of this emerald nightmare shit...cant wait to stop him in next expansion after cata!!

  • nice music though

  • The Rift of Aln is a small area of the Emerald Dream where the Nightmare holds out, supposedly connected to the Twisting Nether and the Great Dark Beyond.
