@OverdozHD why, this man put effort and work into making a vid for others to watch, whilst youre a selfish bastard eating potato chips and making judgemental comments on youtube all day long
@whysocereal7 the maker of this video seemed to agree with me, and i'm just pointing out the obvious, this video is not good, it's nothing against the maker or the effort he put into it, but the result. I understand there's not much useable clips of this man (at least at that point in time) but in that case why make a video at all? if you put effort into something that doesn't necessarily make it good. just sayin'
@whysocereal7 so your logic is that if i'm for example a judge in let's say a singing contest, in order to be able to say that someone is not singing well, i need to first sing better myself? my god you're retarded.
@OverdozHD lol theres a difference to being hired to judge than spitting out random crap everywhere. normally in a singing contest the judges know a lot about singing and have had experiences in the past. theyre not gonna go out onto the street and say to some random "hey, wanna be a judge on a singing contest". applying the same logic, you have no idea how to make a video and yet you are judging people. your turn
@whysocereal7 how about for example when the people watching are voting? it's about expressing opinions and judging. I don't need to make a better video to see that there's nothing special to this one.
@OverdozHD its a totally different thing being asked to judge someone than making harsh opinions to one another without knowing how hard the task is. did anyone ask you to jdge this video? did anyone ask to have crappy opinions handed to them by someone who doesnt know jack about making a video?
@whysocereal7 when a person puts a video on youtube, i believe he expects people to tell their opinions about it. and why are you making the assumption that I wouldn't have a clue about making videos?
im so excited to see how he plays. i hope he gets forward like enrique. I also hope pardew plays him on the left and Ryan taylor on the right and puts simmo on the bench, simmo has been shaky in the last couple of game and taylor has been solid!
@seany0800 is this a joke?? we are got santon so no one had to be played out of place... ryan is a midfielder and avearge at best... he is a squad player who can fill in but will never be a starter if simpson and santon are fit...
besides simpson backs off like ryan BUT simpson does go and tackle after a while, ryan doesnt het keeps backing off till jonas comes and saves him!
which wont happen on the right cause obertan is never there... he is always upfront... so simpson is better imo ;-)
You Newcastle fans have to understand Santon lost his confidence 2 years ago since then hasn't played an alright game. He was on Loan move to CESENA and played shit there.....he got the skills but he aint got a strong mind.
@ItalianStallone89 Confidence comes and goes....just because he had an off season...it doesn't mean he will never get his confidence back. Alan Pardew (the Newcastle Manager) is a respected coach, and will get Davide Santon back to his best. Trust me on that....and this is not me being biased as I don't support Newcastle..
like the look of him but one thing screams out to me hes all right footed and nufc ned a left back. in the premiership hell get found out within his first game if he cannot use his left foot.
@SirDodds there are plenty of people who play left side but are also right footed. guti fr the toon, ashley young for man u. in fact you find especially in midfield the wingers often switch side during games. its all about positional sense and ball control. if he can pass and control it with his left then he can go down the outside as well as cut in. lets give him a chance before we judge. gotta be better than what we have.
Lets hope he can fill the big boots of Jose Enrique, but im happy with Ryan Taylor now we need a top striker . C'mon Fat Ash lets get some over the line on the final day !
@richard2415 i hope ba comes good. he has looked no better than shola so far. shane long wud have been a gamble too. he's scored twice a think for WBA but a wud rather judge him against a whole season in the PL. if we sign santon but no LB, i wud rather play santon left and r taylor RB. if it wasn't for krul pulling off a few v.good saves, we cud have potentially conceded a few more and might be on 1 or nil point. then ppl might say how poor simpson and r talor are in ther current positions.
1) at left-back, he seems to keep going on the outside rather than the inside. This will clash with both Gutierrez and Marveaux, since they are also right footed players. Only Ben Arfa would be the right left-winger to compliment this lad at left back. But Ben Arfa is probably better deployed off the striker...I would rather see this lad as competition for Danny Simpson...
2) he needs to get wider / bulk-up to be defensively competent in the EPL
@JeetuSach Have a bit of faith in him.....he's really young, so he has time to learn and develop :-). I think he will be well booted and suited for the EPL in about 2 years...
@thelastryder I don't disagree. He has all the natural ingredients to be a top fullback. But what are we exactly? A club that grooms them and then sells them on (for less than we paid for them)?we need a replacement for Enrique. If we can get that, AND buy Santon, super! We'd have competition and if Santon really performs, 2 outstanding full-backs. I'd love to have that kind of problem as a manager. But buying him and throwing him at the deep end with the pressure as Enrique's replacement? No thx
Santon has been yearning for some quality 1st team football. He's had enough staying on the bench at Inter. A certain amount of pressure on young footballers helps them flourish, it motivates them to do better and train harder. Cristiano Ronaldo's tenure at Manchester United is a prime example of this...I remember people laughing at the concept of him replacing David Beckham and taking on the no. 7 shirt at just 18 years of age. He is ready...pressure won't be a problem..
I don't disagree with anything you guys say - my only question to you is, is he a replacement for Enrique? If we can get this lad at 5 million, we should absolutely bring him to the Toon. But if we play him at left-back, I don't think he compliments Jonas or Sly. He's right footed and tends to come inside a lot - just like Jonas and Sly.
@JeetuSach to say an italian international is competition for danny simpson is laughable. there wud be no competition. simpson brings nothing to the team. he cant cross or pass and often gets caught out of position. santon has been playing, quite regulary, for a team that has won the champs league, and the serie a twice. i wud play santon at rb and have r taylor as cover and hopefully we will get sissokho/pieters in to. i wud then sell simpson.
isn't adding a player giving competition to the incumbent? I don't think Simpson is a world beater either, but I don't think my comment is 'laughable'. My point is just that this lad would be a great addition to the squad, but we should still be searching for a left-footed leftback.
@tuned2008 yeah someone else also said so - I guess I might be wrong there. So Sly on the left wing and Santon at left back? Mouthwatering...now to get that right wing sorted too!
@toonboy1991 been a fan of Ryan Taylor always - his right boot is a real weapon on deadballs and he whips some wicked crosses. That said, he lacks the ability to influence games....Ryan Taylor is definitely not a replacement for Barton. Ryan's a great squad player to have, to attack teams that are weak on defending set-pieces, or to get you a goal from a setpiece when you really need to try something fresh / new. But def not a automatic right-winger. Think Pardew will see Obartan in that role
@JeetuSach i feel as though if we had signed a left back, i wud have then played santon at rback with raylor as back up. i don't rate danny simpson at all. defensively rayor and simpson on worlds apart but on passing, crossing and dead balls then there is no comparison. even now i wud still keep raylor at rback and play santon lback.
@geordienutta1983 Totally agree. I would have liked to see a full-time left-back signed. Even a nicky shorey or perhaps Van Annholt on another loan. It gives you the option to change things around. When you have a squad of only right footed left-backs, you have no room to change things around. As a squad, having a left-footed leftback + Raylor + Santon + Simpson would have been a decent quartet. As I see it, we're still short. Raylor at right - back would give you great deliveries from deep
@JeetuSach your right in saying having the four would mean plenty of cover. but if we had signed a left footed leftb. i would of been happy to sell simpson. tbh i am quite happy with defensive options we have as well as midfield. my main concern is getting the ball in the back of the net.
@thetoon99 yeah but he doesn't do that. he comes inside....so I'd either play him at right-back or if I played him at left-back, I'd try to pair him with a winger who's left-footed and is able to stay out wide
@JeetuSach well the fact you said at left back he kept going outside proves he can do both he will play left back and should play it good why you wanting him at right back so bad
@gillybox cool thanks for correcting. I've only watched him once..in the cup tie, and he seemed to you his right foot first most of the time...I might be wrong
@matheinazman Yeah.... I thought he would have fetched for a bit more...the guy is only 20 and is a promising right back :S ....genuinely stunned by this development..

@RedRonin75 he is only 19. obviously he has a long way to go yet, he's not going to be two footed or anything. we've seen how the likes of cristiano ronaldo and cesc fabregas have been turned into the world's best and they are only 22-25 so still young. this guy aged 23 will be amazing. he has talent and you can't deny it
@RedRonin75 Hmmm...You may have a point, and a fair one at that, but I really do believe is kid has the potential to be one world's best right backs...Just him him some time, he's currently on loan to Cesena..
the thing is though that he is a right back and ur mostly showing him playing as an offensive winger.. sure right back should be capable of crossing but it would be much more interesting to see his tackling.. he has a pretty good control of the ball though for a right back
@emeyix i agree with you he used to play right back and he was very very impressive then they switched him to the left and he adapted that shows you that he has potential to do anything now his back to his normal postion hope see him play
@emeyix he is a winger attacking winger that mourinho covert him to Defending one so basicly he is/was a winger as he is fast really fast thats why he cut inside " if you see his friendly matches now he is fast and gasperini use hit as winger he cuts inside " behind the goalkeeper line and cross in he is really fast and have teknique but i belive he will be fine player
@emeyix yea... I agree.. I feel that as interesting as it is seeing someone create and scoring goals, there have been some good mix of defenders tackling. Even tackling can be an art..

all I'm seeing is a kid who is all right foot, playing on the left, cutting inside into traffic all the time. Yawnfest

@RedRonin75 Hmmm...You may have a point, and a fair one at that, but I really do believe is kid has the potential to be one world's best right backs...Just him him some time, he's currently on loan to Cesena..

@thelastryder
the thing is though that he is a right back and ur mostly showing him playing as an offensive winger.. sure right back should be capable of crossing but it would be much more interesting to see his tackling.. he has a pretty good control of the ball though for a right back

@emeyix I agree with your comment...

@blahther Haha well I'd say it definitely IS an art.

@RedRonin75 many great players are one footed, for example: robben, messi, inesta, quaresma, bale etc
