Wow. Thanks for this. I was thinking earlier how not once have i ever heard John's mike up in concert. You can always hear Roger real loud and Brian s but not John at all. I guess here's the reason why. AND it's the first time i've ever heard Brian play a wrong chord or note.

I always think one of the things that sets Queen apart is how well they sound when it's only the four of them. Just 3 or in this case 4 instruments and they sound wicked. This isn't one of their best but it's still amazing.

freddy had a throat issue called vocal fold nodule and that meant that to really get those high notes was difficult for him to which is why he really only tried to do it in the studio. queen was always honest that some things they did in the studio they couldnt do justice to live, so they have to compromise, take a look at their bohemian rhapsody performances where they played part of it from a recording. They dont lip sync at all, they just admit they need to do it that way live and are honest.
