  • alice wants to "toot" on popeye's pipe...hmmmm...riiiight.

  • i just LOVE theses old shows!!!!! Just too cute!!

  • damn the quality is noticably less then the first ones.

  • The guy who came up with this stuff had to be on drugs!

  • Alice's head reminds me of Shclitzie the pinhead. She's kind of adorable in an utterly weird, goofball way.

  • I WONDER WHAT ALICE THE GOON AND CHARLIE BROWN'S TEACHERS WOULD TALK ABOUT?

  • "Keep away Alice. I"m not ready yet." punch, pow! Domestic violence was cool back then.

  • Alice the goon isn't scary, women just as built and looking like Alice the Goon came in the grocery store I was a manager at all the time. I'm desensitized!

  • fuck i thought i forgotten her but now im scared again D:

  • @einjix Did you really have to use the "F" word? I was showing this to my 5 yr old son who (by the way can read and sound out letters.

  • @Wad959 if he can do that im sure he is smart enough to know when to use the word that he learned just say him: use it wisely...... by the way dont show him this episode because that alice thing is scary as fuck and can produce nightmares

  • @einjix Apparently you don't remember being five years of age.

  • Alice the goon doesn't talk like that!!!

  • This is the version of Popeye they use to show on Captain Noah in the 70's. (you gotta be from the tri-state area to know who Captain noah was).

  • @kevseb66 I'm from the u.k and i know who Captain Noah was..i googled it..i find flaw in your logic!

  • this used to scare the shit out of me

  • I know Alice the Goon knows nothing about brushing her teeth so her breath got to stink like dead animal with Doodoo inside so why Popey did not smell her breath when she was hunking in his face?

  • There are twleve thumb up voting "Now I work with Alice the goon", can anyone here help and explian to me how do they works with Alice the goon?

  • Why does Alice love Popeye who already has a girlfriend, doesn't even want her, throws rocks at her and runs away? Where are all those hard working apparently male goons, or did they all die off? I would really like to see Alice find a nice goon boyfriend!

  • at the time 3:51, Popeye was not ready for Alice, then he Blast her with a roundhouse left hook....kick her ass, fucking awsome....

  • Popeye should have grabbed some of that Goon booty.

  • 3:52 Popeye has no shame and punched her like she owed him money

  • i owe you LOL look at all of them.

  • The sound quality on this is particularly terrible but mabye it is because i have not seen many Popeye cartoons when i was little.

  • Well, I'll be damned. I had no idea Sarah Palin made guest appearances in cartoons.

  • wtf is that steroids overeaten transwestite???

  • That just blew my mind...I think I am still working out some childhood issues with Alice.

  • I never figured out why the Popeye series (about a common Navy sailor) occasionally included such psychedelic characters as Alice the Goon and Dweezil the Jeep. I guess the creators were smoking some crazy stuff.

  • Alice the goon has a penis-nose, kinda reminds me of Paris Hilton, LOL! She is one sexy bitch, I tell you. She's saying "I love Popeye" I believe. Either that or she's saying "I wanna smoke your pipe, Popeye", ahaha!!

  • AAARRRGGHH!!!!!!OMIFUKINGOD KILL IT!! SEND IT TO HELL!!

  • Wow, haven't seen any of the 1960 Popeye cartoons since I was a child,.

  • thanks for curing cancer alice the goon

  • I couldn't understand a word Alice was saying!

  • Alice is saying I luv popeye I luv popeye

  • Alice was just one of many goons! There was a whole island of Goons in the early days of Popye..and they all looked like cavemen! The dress and the strange hat make Alice the Goon look comical as ever! Then, there's that funny walk....

  • @Titan752 i saw a chapter of the Goons too . If i am not mistaken, popeye turned his face into Goon too XD. Anyway ,the sound alice makes is really strange and kinda scary hahaha

  • Alice rocks,I got some good acid off her once back in the 70s

  • she scares me

  • Wow.....that sucked some major balls. I want 5 minutes of my life back. Thanks!

    ::toot toot::

  • She has reincanated....Cav's center..# 11, ZZZZZZZZZZZ

  • "Oh where oh where has that orful goon gone?"

  • There's an Iphone / iPod touch app out called "The Oldies". It features 24 cartoons including 12 Popeye cartoons. It turns your ipod into a dvd player. Absolutely hilarious. LOL! HAHAHA

  • She looks like my brother's wife.

  • HAAHA, alice the "GOON" looks sooo UGLY she aint got no alibi lol

  • Daaaaamnnn Homme....hhaha I love it. Brings back lots of memories.

  • Alice the Goon showed up very early in the first Thimble Theater funny pappers in the 1930s. The early Fleischer Brothers Poppeye cartoons sometimes featured her and she was creepy. This one is sort of going back and mining that, but not quite so effectively.

  • グーーーン

  • @jinjika7802 "can u put that in English?"

  • Alice the Goon scared me too, when I was little. I got over it cause now I work with her.

  • @coocoo1st You work for her but I dated her!

  • @coocoo1st I think we all have worked with her she's everywhere. I had one calling me everyday at onetime. EEEWW!

  • hahahahaaa!! Fab is sooo funny!

  • so seriously...fab is like the funniest nigga ever lol he clowns too hard

  • fab....that's tooo crazy

  • damn Fab, you trippin lol who is chanan??

  • THeir rascist in the alskan frontier

  • Alice ain't that scary. Kinda cool that they featured a woman smoking a pipe in that cartoon, even if she is a goon.

  • Alice makes Popeye look scrawny

  • Alice The Goon scared the crap out of me when I was little. It REALLY freaked me out when she talked. What does Wimpy do where his payday is a tuesday??

  • Alice resembles a proboscus monkey

  • alice the goon is supposed to have very hairy forearms, like all her goon forebares have too. the race of goons was composed entirely of females after all. they took menfolk to their island & made slaves out of them, put them to stud

  • One of the old Fleischer cartoons showed Goon Island, which looked completely full of male Goons. Maybe that's where the females kept them most of the time?

  • ha ha that's funny. These old King Feature TV ones from the early 60's haven't been around much for awhile.

  • I like Alice's hat...

  • Alice = DICK

  • alice is a ugly girl an ugly ugly girl my parents say she resembles someone we know

  • LOL Alice the Goon is wearing Ug Boots.

  • I love Popeye,I love Popeye.lol

  • Dam. Alice looks like those ugly fag bitches in West Hollywood.

  • Alice the Goon used to scare the snot outta me when I was a kid in the 60s!

  • me too.

  • mrmanok you are a pro! How about some more 60s Popeye since the current owners of Popeye won't put it on dvd!

  • lol she funny

  • As a kid Alice used to freak me out, but looking at her nose it resembles a dick.

  • popeye-woman beater

  • Watching that was like confronting a deep childhood fear of clowns. Alice the Goon just freaks me out!!

  • wow she looks just like a man!! LMAO

  • Alice the Goon reminds me of Parasite Hilton - does she not?

  • Oh that poor girl,,,,,she looks JUST like her. Or poor Alice, should I say

  • Who needs Prozac with this stuff lying around.

  • I can't recall seeing this one... interesting!

  • Alice the Goon was a transvestite who was trying to turn Popeye out. lolollololol

  • what in gods name

  • I liked these better than the old sadistic ones with Bluto. Think Brutus is funnier in some ways

  • I've always thought, even as a child, that the 1960's Popeye cartoons were far inferior to those of the 40's and 50's.

  • Always thought these added characters were weird-Alice the Goon-Sea Hag-Jeep etc. Goon gave me the creeps

  • I think Alice the goon was Charlie Brown's teacher.

  • popeye is nice ilove you popeye cartoon

  • Does anyone know the name of the Popeye where he and Bluto play golf and Wimpy repeats "a hole in one" throughout?

  • I think it's called "Golf Brawl".

  • I always like that one, Olive keeps putting her ball around the hole about a million times, muttering "Oh dear!" every time :)

  • I love that part! lol

  • lol alice talks so funny

  • it's just a cartoon!

incidently, almost identical characters exist in my life, how scary is that?

  • I like 'em all--when you get serious on a fucking cartoon, ya needs therapy-Huk! Huk! Huk! Huk! HUUUH!

  • urgh, at 1:03, the spitton gag's old. In fact, I think that comes from "Blow Me Down!" the first official "Popeye" cartoon. Plus, it lacks something without the music of the old theatrical cartoons.

  • Almost all these gags are old now. But back in the day these were made they were probably fresh and people still laughed at them.

  • Damn he hit her LOL!That was triflent! Thanks for posting tese classics.

  • nerds

  • mulle täiega meeldivad need multikad

  • mulle täiega meeldivad need multikad

  • mulle täiega meeldivad need multikad

  • mulle täiega meeldivad need multikad

  • LOL he hit a lady!!

  • alice the goon is in the oxford dictonary so i had to see this

  • Of course these are all done in the limited animation style of the 60s as compared to the full animation style of the original Fleischer B&W Popeye cartoons of the 40s. They both have their own unique appeal, depending on one's preference.

  • I have to agree, the 60s ones have thier own quirky charm, and a tip o'the hat to the original Thumble Theater. If the Fleishers were grape jelly these are strawberry jam.

  • I remember this episode and all the 60s Popeye cartoons from when I was a kid. I would be glued to the T.V. every Saturday morning just watching this stuff.

  • These are the Popeye cartoons I PREFERED!! They may be cheesy ,but They have the real characters on it like Alice and the Seahag!! Notice Jackson Becks voice as he narrates. He did Brutus and thousands of other voice over characters and commercials!! Love it!!

  • DAG.

I loved -hating- the ATG cartoons when I was a kid.

She was a cheezy cross between the JEEP and MAMMY YOKUM.

Now I see why they dont re-run this Popeye era...... They are worse than I remember !

    I love it.

  • I agree 100% The early Popeye cartoons were a lot better than these. I was raised on the 60's Popeye cartoons but when I matured and learned a bit about animation, I started to see the creativity in the early B&W Popeye series and love it so much more. People who prefer these only prefer them because it's what they remember from being a kid, they probably don't see the art in the original B&W shorts.

  • Kind of scary

  • OMG!! Do you have any of the popeye episodes with the seahag?? I would love to see them again:)

  • Do you have anymore Popeye cartoons (and can you please include the credits this time?)

  • I really enjoy Alice the Goon in this episode of Popeye

  • Well if you enjoy Alice the Goon, then you'll love her in all the episodes of "Private Olive Oyl" I taped over the years. In these episodes Olive and Alice the goon were in the army, lead by Sargeant Bertha Blast.

DO you remember any of those cartoons?

  • Yes I believe I do remember now I remember watching some of then and Alice the Goon was in lots of them.

  • Alice the goon is hot!!

  • This is another great Popeye cartoon I also like this one a lot when Popeye meets Alice the Goon, I liked this one when I was a kid and still do today.

  • boo hoo hoo. Go tell your mommy

  • This was the beginning of outsourcing jobs to Mexico and other countries. King Features, Inc. wanted to save money, so very few of these cartoons were actually made in the U.S., and it shows. :(

Aren't you glad this tradition continues today, and our American corporations are able to save such money? :(

  • Well, they ARE made for syndicated TV. And oddly enough, I like this one.

  • your crazy. Alice the goon rules.

  • Yeah and I thought nothing could be lamer than those 1950s Famous Studios Popeyes, But these Popeyes are a definate step down.

  • Seems like a 50 dollar budget.
