This is so ridiculous. I suppose if you recipient is mentally or physically challenged as this person seems to be in both areas, then yes, go with a local florist where all they have to do is put it on the counter, everyone else will be more than happy to place their flowers in a vase add water and preservatives. I use online florist and they are amazing. Their flowers are always stunning, last a long time and offer good price as well as dependable shipping. This vid is dumb.

That box costs quite some money to buy. The problem is, there is no water wrap for the flowers and they turned limpy. XD The vase is a bit short for the bouquet as well. It will be a lot easier to send a vase arrangement next time.

THis is so true. Order from a professional, they can give you something beuatiful and you won't spend any more money after you pay for the vase, shipping, and the 13.99 handling fee. PLUS it will look good, unlike most peoples do it yourself flower arranging. PLUS - BIG PLUS you are supporting your local economy by calling a local florist and not some Huge Wallstreet owned company that won't give you the personal attention that YOU deserve! Use your local florist!

A few things to dispel. Just because you order from FTD or Telaflora doesn't mean you will get flowers in a box. Most flower companies offer wire service where you can purchase the flowers online or in your city and have a local florist where the flowers are being delivered to deliver them, as opposed to DHL, UPS, etc. Also, flowers delivered by a florist invariably will look much better assuming you are using a good florist. As in any industry, there is good and bad plenty to go around.

well for those of you who are high maintenance and have money to burn, buy them from a local florist. I have always had good luck with pro flowers and the reason I send THEM to my mother instead of a florist is because in her location there is no local florist that delivers. Furthermore I have bought from a florist for loved ones,had delivery and been extremely disappointed. You can have bad luck with any company at any time-just remember that.

When you order flowers, it says clearly how they will be delivered. If it says DHL/ UPS/ or FedEx, what are you expecting? Have you ever seen a UPS/DHL/FedEx guy deliver ANYTHING that wasn't in a box?

As for the tie, the woman trying to cut is an imbecile. If at her age she can't use scissors, she has two options. Kindergarden or retirement. I suggest retirement.

I would just want to DIE of embarrassment if I ever received flowers--in front of my office co-workers no less!--that looked as badly as that. I would find it very hard to feel "special" with flowers like that sitting on my desk. More to the point, my husband would not want me to feel the way those limp, unattractive, bare-bones flowers would make me feel. I will always use local florists from now on--and will make sure everyone I know watches this video. Thank you for posting it.

I don't believe the poster made any references to this being pro flowers. However if you had paid attention to the video or the previous posts, it is clear that these were from FTD. I also like how you assume the woman is capable of cutting whether she is or not, I believe you should consider that many older women receive flowers and not every 80+ year old can cut those infernal plastic tags.

I feel sorry for anyone who gets stiffed like in this staged dramatic representation. Paying for one ting and getting another is wrong in my book.

However, the poster is in the floral industry. Like it or not, there is a bias against the competition. No one should look at this looking for objectivity.

We really don't know if those flowers even came from FTD. For all we know the poster could be no better than a mud-slinging politician looking to "one-up" a competitor.

Where does this even say its form FTD? I believe one of the comments said that but I've gotten flowers form Pro Flowers that looked like this.

As for one upping a competitor, the point of this post is to show that flowers look better and come in a nicer package when delivered locally. I don't think any specific company is targeted.

The bouquet in the box bears very little resemblance to what was shown on FTD's website. I feel sorry for anyone that purchased that as a gift, too.

So sad consumers get duped by the prices of the direct ship floral products. If they only knew the recipient winds up with a DOO-IT-ALL-YOURSELF-KIT rather than what the IMAGE they clicked on depicted, they would understand, just why they depend upon a professional REAL FLORIST to knock the recipient's socks off.

Wow...what a lot of money for what looks like a grocery store bouquet with a vase too short for the stems. I bet the sender would fall over seeing how close it matches to the picture he picked out..NOT! I would think twice before sending a floral memory like this again...more like a floral nightmare. Hope they use their Real Local Florist next time and have it designed and delivered by a Professional.Once again, one of the big 800's take advantage of the consumer. What a pity.
