  • for $17/month more I could get a Civic LX...

  • Car and Driver. Sucking Honda's dick since 1984.

  • I've always wanted to drive a Honda Fit since I was 11 when the 2009 model just came out (I'm just a teen right now! OK)?

  • Just make a Fit Type R...

  • its the honda jazz in europe

  • Honda needs to make exciting cars again.

  • if you tink about....the fit is essentially a 4 door version of the 2003 honda civic Si Hatchback

  • @sexyboi142 Without the horsepower lol

  • @jacoale lol true

  • It's a nice car, and my parent bought. That said I still like my 04 mustang better and for 20k I would buy a 2011 Stang before I bout one of these.

  • The Honda may be best in its class, but that comes at a steep price. Honda wants 16k for the base w/ auto transmission, dealer markup is 2 or 3k, and is hardly negotiable. With any features, you are looking at almost $20,000. Ridiculous.

  • @ChickenC0re You get reliability and a vehicle thats gonna last 300k+ miles easy with low inexpensive maintenance though... Better than paying about the same price or more for most american cars that will fall apart continuously over a couple years.

I think the Fit is pretty lame and thats price is pretty high for it, but the civics and accords are really nice.

  • @ChickenC0re dealer markup is not 2-3k. Add the $750 to the factory invoice price and that's your total. And it's a Honda, so their engine alone is worth it. Go buy a Fiesta if you want a car that falls apart right away.

  • @edyken77 In my area, they don't even bother with the Fit. The cheapest car at my local Honda dealer is a fully loaded Civic for $22,000+. Ford is even worse, the local ad was bragging about a $18,500 Fiesta. I went ahead and bought a POS Aveo for thousands less than sticker price. I just needed a car to get me to school and work. When it blows up, I'm gonna buy me a new Subaru.

  • Ford Fiesta!!!!! cant wait

  • It doesn't get good crash test results.

  • @demoskunk only with a bigger car thats moving the opposite direction. my friend crashed his at 60. he made it out alive with a bruise on his leg.

  • I have had my Honda Fit now for over 2 years, and love it. Drove it from Michigan to Atlanta and back, got great gas milage. Handles well in the snow as well.

  • i just bought a red 2010 fit sport with a manual trans today. this thing is so much more useful than the civic and insight its riddik. i also tested a civic and the fit was more fun to drive.

  • The Civic Si is more fun to drive than any fit. I do hope to see a Fit Si some time soon (there were rumors of this last year).

  • base rsx engine possibly? That thing would haul ass.

  • Maybe I'm greedy, but I want the same K20Z3 that I have in my 08 Civic Si. Of course, you'd also need the LSD from the Si. Given that engine, the lighter Fit would probably run 0-60 in around 6 secs and be fun to drive and great to mod.

On the other hand, my wife needs a new car next year, and if the Insight fails to impress me, she'll likely end up with a new Fit sport automatic :) Even without an "Si" trim the Fit is a really impressive car, and fun to drive.

  • Yeah, but even with that LSD, I don't think you'd get ANY traction. The lesser powered RSX engine would need to have upgraded cams, but I think that would be an awesome pick for a Fit Si.

  • I have a 2005 fit and love it!

  • I have had my Honda Fit for about 4 months now. Its a chick magnet especially for Asian girls ;]

Other than that this car is pretty much worth every penny, it is also real easy to maintain since they car practically tells you to your face if there is something that needs fixing. Also love the fuel economy gauge right below the speedometer it really helps with helping you curb your driving style to more fuel efficiency.

  • i still thinking to get a scion TC or honda civic????

  • I can't wait to get Honda Fit after I get my license. ;D

  • Nice!! go for the Sport model.

  • i knew i shouldv waited. but o well its the best car in its class. even at 17K its a damn good car for the buck

  • just wondering anyone know if this car is FWD or does it have AWD too

  • There is an AWD version, but I believe it's only available in Japan.

  • it is front wheel drive,

and are you serious?? AWD? hahahaha no chance

  • japan has an AWD version. Theres a video of one on youtube driving around in a field with all wheels spinning. Its pretty awesome.

  • I think you got yourself lost. Not all Japanese car makes it into USA. Look at Type R Civic ?? Failed... theres a market in Japan with 4WD Base, my guess its a semi wheel. Look it up on wiki or japanese car market. Plz do research b4 u down grade on others. =)z im trying not to disresect u but .... ill leave it as that.

  • ANDERU4YOU is right in Japan there is an AWD version and also an FWD version. But in North America there is only the FWD version.

  • @Soymilllk yeah its true..

    japan made some AWD fit..

  • Just bought my own a couple of days ago. Love it!! And the cargo space when the rear seats fold away is amazing!

  • just bought a new one yesterday & so far im very impressed after driving a jeep cherokee for 6 years.

after the clunker rebate i wrote a check for 12,150 out the door. ha cant beat that.

  • Fit is a great car, realiable, quality, roomy and fuel economy for sure

  • I love my fit. The only problems I have with it are: no sunroof (as the guy 2 comments below me said), you can't adjust the seat height, and the acceleration sucks. But other than that, I love it.

  • i have one and it is really very good. very fun to drive, stable and design is great (for me).

  • I would totally buy a Fit if only you could get a sunroof on it.

  • i have a bmw 3.20 ci, 1994 model. but i want to drive honda civic anymore...

  • I love how Honda designs it's interior on all their models.

  • I have an impreza 06.

So good, and if you live in a place that has bad winters, you will even love it more.

A great car for the price. AWD gives the car grip that I haven't been able to break yet.

  • When my girlfriend was looking for a new car we test drove the Fit. I liked it, but it is VERY susceptible to crosswinds. When we were sitting in the left hand turn lane at a traffic light, the car would sway back and forth from the passing traffic in the on-coming direction. This was really disconcerting and ultimately made us choose to look elsewhere.

  • Moaski: It's a sub-compact dude. It's smaller and lightweight; isn't some 'rocking' as you put it to be expected? I own a compact car and crosswinds can still be a problem. Bottom line, you won't find a better car in this segment. There's pros and cons to every car you consider.

  • It definitely is a sub-compact dude, and I think the one we test drove was the first iteration, not the most recent. Probably, the new model is better. I have a compact car as well (a Subaru Impreza) and cross winds are never an issue unless it's 50 mph or more. Hondas are bulletproof and I wish my girlfriend ended up with a Civic.

  • all small cars do that. Even my little civic. and it has lowered suspension! I haven't noticed it impacting performance or steering at all.

  • Really? You need to trade up to a Subaru!

  • I wish. But subarus are very expensive. And if i really wanted one. I would head straight up to the WRX STI!!! hp monster.

  • The new STi certainly is. I would aim for a low mileage 2006-07.

  • These are the worst car reviews I've ever seen. They say absolutely NOTHING! How about doing some work? We don't need these commercials on youtube hogging up space.

  • honda is hitting the hammer on the nail with virtually every vehicle in its lineup !

  • @coandcaiv

    Meh.

  • fit is the best in it class

  • I really like this car and compare with its competition such as , yaris, versa, accent, aveo is the best one. they all cost the same at around $16,500.00 with the same options. The only rhing I dont like about it is that you need to get the NAVIGATION System to get Stability Control. THAT SAVES LIVES!!! and is gonna be requires by 2012 to be equipped to all car in the usa, so why not now, 2012 is aound the corner. But at least they offered it not all the others who dont. Imigth buy this year.

  • I personally do NOT like VSA cause it causes problems too, sometimes when to save a life you have to accelerate fast- it actually does opposite.

  • I'm actually getting ready to buy one next week! I checked all the competition with this car, and I have to say while it is pricey, it beats most of them, hands down. Better fuel economy and visibility than the Versa, and more praticality than the Scion. Not to mention all the controls and read- outs are not in an awkward place, like the Yaris! Yeah, I think I'm really going to enjoy this car. ^_^

  • look at the saturn astra

  • saturns suck

  • go read how many hate vidz of saturnz there are

  • Yes, most new Saturns are in fact Opels. The only one imported, however, is the Astra from Belgium, not Germany. Most are made in USA or Mexico. I have a VW Rabbit/Golf 5, a true German made, German designed car.

  • saturn is done, whether it is sold off or just closed up, yet to be decided..

  • Astra is no. 1 sell simply because it's a grey car that fit all those who dare not choose outside the box, same as for the Golf. I'll gladly challenge you on your earlier remark wrt German quality vs Japanese as we're getting rid of our Mercedes after 7 years of misery and expensive repairs, the car's now a rattling and squeeking box on wheels and I will never EVER get a German car again. The Jazz won't disappoint as hasn't the previous generation.

Take your eyepatches off and see the light..

  • I own one! Colbolt blue. AWESOME!

  • I LOVE HONDA!!!!

  • i rather have a Nissan verso for a little less then half the price

but i do like the room space in the Fit better

  • honda fit... the little BIG car! love it!

  • They want to much money for it. Went to go buy one and it was like 18,000 dollars for an ecoonbox, I can buy a cool car like the Nitro for that much.

  • yeah they are in the uper 17k's...i could get a new Corolla for that

but a Nitro?? things are ugly and unreliable..thats why there going to stop making it

  • Just bought a 2009 Fit, sports with Navigation and manual transmission. Drives beautifully, extremely happy with it. Navigation is a bit meh, but I've been spoiled by the iPhone's maps interface and basically want a big iPhone with turn by turn directions in my car :-)

  • It's a Honda...runs forever, great resale value, good gas mileage, nice design and extremely reliable....not sure what else you could ask for in a economy car?

  • have an 07 Fit and i love it, great daily driver car

  • this is a mini van on a 1:3 scale. by the looks and performance

  • because it touches bases on pretty much everything someone is looking for..minus a powerful engine.

  • It's good to see that someone knows how to make a small car that looks just as good and sometimes better than many full size cars. It's a bit too small and lacking in power for my taste but I can't deny that it looks amazing.

  • love that car. love Honda. thinking it should be my first car. what do you think?

  • yes!!! I would love this as my first car also!! if you get one put a video up of it!!!

  • i sure will! but it might be a while :( gotta save up.

  • Yeah! This car will be delivered in my house tomorrow, straight from the showroom.

    I'm just a newbie driver btw. ;)

    *excited*

  • congrats have fun!

  • Me too. I am going to get this car and I'm so excited. BTW, it's not my first but I'm still excited. lol. xD

  • Man, you're gonna love it! Every dime is well worth it.

Good luck and have a safe trip!

  • I think the consensus here is that Honda Jazz/Fit is a terrific car. I just bought mine in the metallic cerulean blue. It stands out, has road presence, excellent space and height, great on fuel, cheap to insure has enough power for all my needs (especially if you drive to save fuel) and the manual transmission is wonderful! The interior design is magnificent! The seats are sporty, but cushioned, you can adjust the seat back/forth, backrest up and down AND height adjust also!

  • this is an unbelievably gorgeous car.

  • EXACTLY WHAT I WAS THINKING!!!!!
