Good news is,Alfa Romeo(made in china) will be as good quality,and reliable,and cheap cars like toyota.

Nope. The hardware is designed and produced in the west (where Taiwan and Japan are included). It is all just fit toghether in China. It is as reliable as that made in Japan and has been exported to Europe. Maybe many media just focus on the copy cars that account for only 5% of 10 million cars produced in China this year. Well i dont know about chinas auto marketing becoming number one but i do know that American Auto marketing will go to the last place and eventulay it will extinct. i Live In New York City and i see a lot of imported cars and only few americans. Yes, VW is no.1 at moment, but that was achieved from licencing by VW in later 80' as such Santana, then Audi. Reliable well build 70' German model, give 20 year domestic reputation, let VW have big success in china now, but does not mean Chinese brand such as BYD can not be the best; at least they just start 5-6 years ago.

I think BYD has a good shot. Huge domestic market to help build economies of scale, tons of labor, no unions. They can penetrate into the developed markets by launching plug in hybrids. Very impressive for only being in the car business for 6 years. I think BYD started out making batteries. Thanks for posting the video.
