i play rennicks stuff, and it is hard!, its very hard to play clean with other people! the reason its clean every year is cause they have superior players on that line. for instance noel alvarez is one in on this line, the next year HE SPLIT CENTER AT BLUE DEVILS!!

you can get the snare music for the first 31 seconds if you go to google, type in ocpd and go down to obsessive compulsive percussion disorder and click it. then you go to drumline sheet music, scroll all the way down to transcriptions and its labeled as the phantom regiment 06 snare lick or something like that.

I just noticed that some snares, while marching in the same direction, aren't putting the same foot in front of the other..if that makes sense. :)

the reason for the different footing is probably because theyre marching at different angles and depending on the angle, is how their foot is placed. :D

those are scoops, they help project the snare sound forward!!!!!!!!! they are white cause of the uniforms!

I think that Cadets music is harder chop wise and phantoms is harder both musically and technically. but phantom does deliver cleanliness unlike the cadets. I think Cadets just spit out a crap load a notes

Phantom also seems to have the easiest drill for their drumline members. Cadets and BD tend to move a lot.

i agree with you. Phantom = brilliant writing, lots of metric modulations, tasty licks.  piss clean. cadets = ramming crazy fast rolls and singles with less musicality but still cool. they have mad chops but they haven't been real clean since like 05. they were great that year
