I hear ya! I got called back too. They promised to call me back and everyone of the other people I talked to but no one got a call. They told us they would call if we made it or not. Not very nice. I was called back for 1 pm and didn't sing until almost 7.:-( Not bitter, just don't like being used for their reality show.
It's awesome that your friend made it through! Good luck to him! I'm audition, but purely for fun. If I actually made it through that would be...insane. Not gonna stay out there all night though...I'm convincing myself it won't be that bad waiting in line with so many interesting people. Sounds like you had fun! Thanks for sharing your experience!

By the way, I did go to the auditions. I waited for 11 hours. Didn't make it. Didn't expect to. Especially after 11 hours.
